Waverley Adventures - Ardrossan to Holy Isle & Pladda Cruise - August 8th 2024

My first cruise on Waverley of 2024 and a very unique one at that - the 50th Anniversary cruise to commemorate the day that the Waverley was purchased by the PSPS (Paddle Steamer Preservation Society) for a pound. I boarded the ship at Ardrossan - a first for me and the first time the ship has been there in a long time - then going to Brodick in Arran then cruising south to see Holy Isle, Pladda and Lamlash Bay.
The weather was quite poor, which was unfortunate as many of the passengers on the boat were likely first-time Waverley passengers, but I still enjoyed the cruise and it’s definitely nice to see the Waverley visit new places.

Would have liked this special sail but seeing rain over Arran stayed and took photos as she entered Ardrossan. Been on her a good few times this summer.

@@jimmcintosh9045 weather certainly wasn’t on our side that day but it was still a very enjoyable day out, understandable why some may have chosen to sit it out though. Glad you liked the video 👍
