    Thanks for sharing your positive experience. I was dreading the side effects and not expecting them to do anything positive for at least a week, but since taking my first pill yesterday I've been feeling slightly better already. Actually, yesterday I genuinely felt good. Almost too good. Side effects are minimal so far as well. I'm aware it's too early to make any conclusions, but I feel hopeful now. I'm taking any bit of happiness and sanity I can get.

      I start tomorrow.. 20mg / day... I really fail to see how my anxiety could spike much higher... I spend most days living in a non stop panic attack.. Be curious to compare your experience with mine as you go along... Please give updates

      @@barry5580 Hi Barry, I'd like to hear your experiences as well. Good luck with it.
      I started straight away with 50mg. My depression/anxiety probably weren't as bad as yours to begin with but enough to make me dysfunctional in my day to day life.
      It's day 3 now and it's too early to say much about today, although so far I feel slightly better than yesterday. Day 2 was worse than day 1. The side effects spiked. Short term memory plummeted and I felt kind of surreal and emotionally flat. Nothing unbearable, though and I'm still hopeful about this medication. I'm striving to actively recover too and I'm not living in the illusion that if I just take the pill and sit back everything will change. I challenge myself to stay active and implement other beneficial lifestyle habits.

    My Dr put me at 'ease' too. She suggested I go on SSRIs, benzos and sleeping pills for 6 months for panic attacks. She reassured me that there are no side effects. Hahahaha I decided to not take anything and naturally got better. Turns out I also had low blood sugar too

      I wouldn’t put stigma on these drugs because you personally had a bad experience. Literally all drugs have side effects that range from feeling completely fine to severe but usually ssris have really mild side effects that go away after 1-2 weeks. Of which when taken solely work great for many people with anxiety disorders. Benzodiazepines are a different type of drug which are only used for Extreme cases cause of the severe side effects. so your doctor putting you on all three of those drugs at the same time is literally insane so please get a new doc lmao.

    • @extrastout1741
      @extrastout1741 Год назад +1

      @@TheeAbrahamLincoln well I didn't personally have a bad experience with the drugs, I didn't even take the drugs and recovered naturally. This is not an isolated story though, this is how the whole system works. People became addicted to opioids after being perscribed FDA approved medication by their doctors without even asking for it.
      All drugs have side effects but these side effects are literally the very conditions they are trying to treat. In the long run, those who are prescribed but don't take the drugs are better off than those who do.
      There's also the issue that if something goes wrong, the patient is blamed so there is no accountability. "You had a bad experience". The black box warnings were put by companied after they lost in court and were forced to do so. They kept denying that the medication can cause the serious harm they do.

      @@extrastout1741 what ur saying it actually highly untrue and it’s really dumb (not calling u yourself dumb) to make blanket statements about “drugs” in general when 100 years of research and studies have proven the effectiveness of psychiatric medication. It’s important to understand biochem so that u actually know what these medicines are doing. My life changed once I began taking sertraline and vyvance for my adhd and depression/ptsd about 2 years ago and ever since my life has got better. But not even my own anecdote but statistically people who don’t receive treatment for there mental heath are more like to suffer with age not get better. I know this from personal experience as someone with a family history of mental illness of which destroyed my family me seeking treatment has made me not follow in that cycle.

      @extrastout1741 Год назад

      @@TheeAbrahamLincoln can you point me out to the studies? The chemical imbalance theory was debunked, the opioid epidemic was caused by perscribed medication and the black box warnings were ordered to be put as the companies were denying the side effects. There is a severe lack of informed consent.

      Before trying mushrooms, consider this. An improper dose of psilocybin could give you a psychotic episode. It’s something you need to research a lot before taking safely if you are depressed (especially if you’re already taking an SSRI). Try to get a good psychologist if you haven’t already. In the meantime, look up Wim Hof breathing exercise. It always lifts my mood :)

    Antidepressants don’t fix any issues, they just push down all your emotions more which makes it even harder to connect to your feelings to work through them, not to mention they have many horrible side effects and discontinuing them is extremely hard.

      That’s not true. Anti depressants literally help balance chemicals in your brain. I think your issue is that it’s not a permanent fix. But so what , toothpaste isn’t permanent, that’s why you brush daily, either is deodorant. Etc. it’s not a one and done, it’s something that will always need maintenance bc it’s an issue with your brain chemicals.
