All hail the gods of metal! Damm! Sabbath has double the weight when Geezer is on the bass. And Tony riffs are beyond fantastic. Sabbath members are living legends.
Fun Fact: the whole concept of Black Sabbath was about the battle of Good v Evil, God & Satan, Heaven & Hell. Iommi took it one layer further. Tony stated in an interview that his short instruments he played before heavy metal sounds were an expression of the lightness of The Light before the heaviness of The Dark. Light v Heavy. Light v Dark. WOW... they really are Masters Of Reality.
Dio couldn't understand ozzy from the get go. Ozzy might have been cruel to dio for taking his place. How would dio act if someone stole his dream? The fact that dio couldn't understand ozzy is sad.
The documentary of this concert on cable TV was amazing. Watching Ozzy during interviews and such between songs was kind of funny. He walked around in an Ozzy Daze mumbling like typical Ozzy but when he got on stage and began performing he became the Prince of Darkness once again and all those Ozzy antics where you think he's got to be high on something, were gone. The man just knows how to perform
This whole album sounded spot on with their stuff from the mid 70’s. Guitar riff master Tony Iommi was bang on this whole album and Ozzy’s voice sounded great!
That album is fantastic! Especially the way the album ends. So classic. Such a great ending to a fantastic career. OH and Toni Iommi lent guitar riffs to the new Candlemass album! Can't wait to hear the whole album.

I saw Black Sabbath with the Ramones in 1978 or so. Last tour with Ozzy, ("Never Say Die!"). Ramones added after Van Halen didn't appreciate a spot on a legendary tour and bad mouthed Sabbath at every interview. So, Warner Bros. and Sabbath gave the Ramones a shot. Amazing bit of history, as I had seen a show with Van Halen earlier on the tour. I was 14 and got major street cred 'cause at the time, not very common to be able to see a tour like that. Thanks Bob, best older Brother ever! (R. I.P.) Ramones held up to abuse from the crowd very well. I came away a bigger fan of both bands that night.
The MAIN reason I LOVE you two is that you remind me (like I said in a previous comment) of me and my wife. I love watching my wife (back when we first met Oct. 82. She was 17, I was 19) experience things for the first time. I see that in you two. The way it pleases you when you look at her while she listens so intently. But, I digress... Your beautiful wife said she loves these slower, bass driven, heavy metal songs. So... I dedicate this song "The Zoo" by "The Scorpions" to your wife. I think she'll dig the s#!t out of it. Oh, by the by Mate... You asked me if my wife & I were still together? Yes, yes we are. Been together 37 years, married 32. One awesome Son. Peace be with you two! BIG HUGS! This song by the Scorpions never got airplay (around 78-79ish) back in the day. It was the year of Disco crap and heavy rock never made it to radio. It was popular amongst young "underground" headbangers who were mocked at high school because of the way we dressed. A rock (concert) shirt, blue jeans, and high tops. Unlike those glitter, disco, queens that ran around in their platform shoes and bell bottoms, and silk shirts, YUCK! LOL. Very underrated song that if remade today would be a huge hit.
Hi Eric! Good to hear from you and the fact that you are both still very together!!!! The Zoo was my other favourite Scorpions tune that I played over and over one I got the cassette. The first time I heard on the radio, I was just like “what the heck was that?” So I went to the record store and bought both Love at First Sting and one of their other albums for the heck of it (and it was a ‘buy 1 get one 50% off). When Ozzy is in the Band -Geezer Butler The Bass Player writes The Lyrics When Dio is in the Band - Dio writes the Lyrics
