Overhead Camera Rig Using Light Stands and a Horizontal Crossbar

I have changed my overhead camera setup again. In my opinion, this is the best overhead camera rig I have set up so far.
The whole setup is cheap to construct and is simple too. You don't need to drill, use screwdrivers etc. All you have to do is slot the horizontal crossbar onto your lights.

Rode PSA1 Microphone Boom Arm

In the past I used to use the Rode PSA1 Boom Arm. It may not suit everyone, but it is a flexible solution that allows you to put the camera into many positions easily.

Yes I used the PSA1 for my boom arm for ages. Just doesn't work well in my room as my desk shakes a lot.

Love this setup! Thank you! What did you use to hold the wires ? Any special clamp or zip ties? I might have missed it on your video if you mentioned it.

That's one part I probably need to tidy up. At the moment I just have it tied at the top using a cable tie. I could probably use a larger cable and feed it from higher up so that it doesn't just hang down the way it does right now.

@@GenXGlam Glad you like it. I still have a lot of things to change in the future. I need to improve my main camera, get better lights, better monitors etc. However I can improve most things over time.

I did think about how I could use something like that, but I only have a limited amount of space on my desk for reviews and unboxings, so a fixed position works better.
