I thought I would be all about jam skating but it turns out I feel more drawn to artistic skating "moves", who knew! Thanks Katie for another great tutorial ❤
Something new to try! I’ve been playing with knee and hip placement (tweaking) to get positions to hold comfortably and make C turns move smoothly. I’ve been wondering how S turns compare to C turns … and you answer my unvoiced inquiry. 😁 Thanks Katie!
Well spotted. Yes as pattinaggiojo has said above the axel tends to be a back outside to forward outside entry which would be a c turn but it’s amazing how often skaters use these turns without thinking about the technicality.
Hi, I'm just wondering if there's a lot of difference between 97A (Atom tones, that came with the skates) wheels and 100A? I have 97A and have a lot of trouble getting any sort of slide out of them. I skate at our local basketball court on a timber floor. I have noticed, when the wheels are quite dirty, they do "slip" a lot more, but still not particularly slippery. Thanks 🙂
I’m not sure you’d notice a big difference between the two. It could be the floor is just sticky. You could try some D scale wheels. They go harder. For D scale add 45 to get an idea of what they’d equate to in the A scale.
Hi Katie. Any exercise or tip to be able to hold the closed position? Your foots are perfectly parallel but with some angles my foots cross each other and quite scary. Thanks for all of the contents you create and share. My first to go channel to find a great explanation ❤
Try it off skates and get a feel for the pose. Give a good knee bend should help give your knees and feet some space. Then try it stationery in skates before working up to it rolling. .
omg how are you doing these with toe plugs?!?! i want to use toe plugs when i do figures, but im just too scared of face planting 😭 do you know any tips? i'm just going from normal toestops, then adjusting them higher... then baby toestops, then adjusting them higher - which is still scary to me! And then i guess hopefully i'll get to plugs? i just love my toestop security too much lol
My main advise would be to skate as if you’re not wearing toe stops. So stop using the wheels instead etc. that way you’ll be more comfortable when you do take them out as you’re not relying on them. This might help ruclips.net/video/1N38lm1POyA/видео.html
It’s so normal to skate like this at first. It’s just a matter of practicing weight transfer. Let me send you a video link ruclips.net/video/PgV2IOE7Zxc/видео.html

These are great fun, enjoy learning xx.
You mentioned the spin entrance... Is the usual axel entrance one of these turns too?
that would be more of a c-turn, its an outside edge to another outside edge 🤗

awesome! could uou make videos on more spins and jumps? (maybe one foot spins or simple jumps)
I have a one foot spin video ruclips.net/video/vs-TEb8kfH8/видео.html

@@Skatiethank you for the tips. Off skate is probably best to get the feel and prepare the hips.❤

Also working on toe manuals will help you learn the tipping point without a toe stop too.
Amazing
Hi Skatie, what skates are you using ?
Hi. I skate on a Roll-line dance plate with a Risport Turchese boot.
