Aha! Thanks for this. Going to drill it tomorrow. I was definitely sat back and trying to make the back foot do the driving 🤦🏻♀️ Bet this unlocks it for me. Next step: backwards in stagger stance and carving deep edges.
Not at all! I started at 46 and still continuously learning new skills and tricks. It's amazing fun and probably greatly beneficial to my future self's balance and stamina. Give it a shot; you might surprise yourself
Loads of people start in their 40s or later. And there are rink skaters in their 80s and 90s. As we age it’s important to practice maintaining our balance. Skating is a fun way of doing that. Even standing still on skates uses balance and engages muscles. Hope you give it a go.

I like doing this drill because believe it or not (as weird as I am) it helps warm up my feet for pivots...
