Ya know, everyone’s talking about their personality types but no one’s talking about this sick animation with a great story hiding behind the psychology? I love it! I would watch a movie like this. 🍿🥤
So me, I enjoy being around people but I also need downtime. Especially when I get continuous interactions, coming home to my apartment feels so comforting. I love eating alone and also love meeting my friends for coffee
For me an ambivert is just a mature introvert who has grown as a person. It`s a bumpy ride that requires getting out of your comfort zone a lot and pushing yourself a bit, but completely doable.
Exactly. An ambivert is also a mature extrovert who has grown as a person. If your personality is healthy, you should become more ambiverted with age. Especially after age 35.
✨timestamps✨ 0:30-you enjoy socializing, you just need downtime afterward 1:06-you’re good at managing people 1:43-you’re easy to get to know 2:16-you work well in solo and group settings 2:48-you’re a good listener and communicator 3:11-you know when to trust people 3:38-you’d rather have your weekends packed hope this helped and lmk if there’s anything I should change!!
I am a INFP or a "Mediator" and I felt really identificated with this video, I feel like I really am an Ambivert!! Thank you for the video guys! It helped me understand me better 😊💖
@@KateJn Sure! It is a type of personality according to the 16 personality test, you search that and take the test to know which type you are. I'm not an expert on the topic but that's pretty much it.
Finally a fellow Mediator, I felt so alone lol coz I couldn't fit into either into/extrovert. My sis suggested I was an ambivert and I kinda held on to it. So glad I came across this video and your comment. I don't feel so alone anymore
@@KateJn INFJ stands for Introvert, iNtuitive, Feeler, Judger. The INFJ is defined by their dominant introverted iNtuition (Ni) and auxiliary extroverted Feeling (Fe). Ni is the gut instinct function, while Fe is the empath function (not to be confused with empathy; empaths can detect what others are feeling without observation, while empathy is the ability to relate to how others are feeling). The combination of these two functions is rather rare, at 2-3% of the population. And together they are extremely potent; moreso than any other combo. Ni-doms (INxJs) sometimes have an innate ability to cold read people. All other types have to actively learn this skill, though it comes easiest to all Ni users. NFJs also seem to be more adept empaths than SFJs. SFJs sometimes question what they're feeling from someone, as it may not fit a pattern they're familiar with. NFJs never question such things.
@@AtarahDerek thanks that's really interesting because I can cold read people and I'm pretty empathetic. I don't really question such things because I can tell what I'm feeling and I'm aware of it the same way I can tell what someone else is feeling by looking at there behavior
Have considered myself to be an ambivert since late highschool, tho I do still lean a bit more on the introverted side. It's probably cuz of my "I don't wanna bother them unless it's okay" mentality. Also, I love the mafia theme of this video lol
🙌🏻same! But.... The mentality you mentioned says that you are an agreeable person. Opposite of this nature is disagreeable. Do google, it's interesting.
This is awesome! The animation is so cool too! As an ambivert I personally love talking one on one but hate talking in groups. Also, I love being with my friends during the week, but I love the downtime of being alone for the weekend. Thanks for making this video!
yeah I am like that, I have learnt at social events I tend to chat to one person for too long so have figured out when there is a pause in the conversation that is the cue to move on.
I'm a major ambivert. I'm an ENFP. THE most Introverted type of extrovert. I love parties, and stay the whole time, but sometimes I just want alone time, or with small groups too.
1) you enjoy socializing 2) you're good at managing people 3) you're easy to get to know 4) you work well in solo and group settings 5) you're a good listener and communicator 6) you know when to trust people 7) you'd rather weekends packed
It's weird. I've felt since I was a kid that I'm introverted but I have a few of these characteristics so I may have a bit of the ambivert. Thanks for this video. I love that you show different types of personalities and where their strengths are.
Yep. I'm indeed an ambivert. Love to socialize BUT need the same amount of time to counteract the lost energy by distancing myself like right away. Also I'm often excited when I'm going to meet people but as soon as I am in front of them, I lose the excitement as soon as I get involved into conversations. I love eating alone and prefer to meet my friends just for a coffee.
See to me that reads as a social introvert- I've always defined introvert as someone who gets drained by social interaction, not specifically someone who is bad/doesn't like it. So you like interacting with people, it's just tiring. (I obviously don't know how you actually feel, just sharing my thoughts).
I'm totally an introvert, I'm clear that my lil' sister is an ambivert because most of the signs that she's an ambivert are: There are times that she is social and times that want to want alone. I'm glad that she has a side of an introvert and that makes me happy because I finally have someone that can relate and understand me.
To me the definition of an introvert is not that you're bad at or don't enjoy socializing- it's that it tires you out. Extroverts actively get energy from people while introverts are drained by it- but that doesn't mean either one is better or worse at socializing or enjoys it more than the other.
Never related to a vid more I never really knew how to explain myself with this so I would just say I was an extrovert but this is exactly how I feel so thanks for this (:
Samee 😌 I was an introvert at primary school & hardly had any friends. When I get into the middle school, I decided to talk and open up more about myself and now I guess I am an ambivert but more to an extrovert hehe (*˘︶˘*)
@@sydneyryan8578 it’s more of a thing you’re born with, or that changes from circumstance, you cant force it. Just be yourself and everything will be fine
❤ thank you soo much😊 I am ambivert, its like 75%Extrovert 25% Introvert , getting an ENFP type and am so happy to get such a mixed nature.😅 And sometimes even I can't understand that whether I am actually talking or acting. 🤣
I think I would've been an full on introvert, but all through my childhood, my father's job made our family change cities fairly frequently, about 4 times in my first 10 years of life. I think that the inevitability of meeting new people, making new friends and having to learn how to adapt to the new environment in such early age built me ambivert. I really enjoy my time alone, but when socially involved, no one sees me as an introvert now at days.
Hello, I've been loving these types of videos ever since. I was hoping you guys would create a video explaining basely about extroverted introvert. I'm still curious if I'm more into ambivert or something else. btw, your videos have helped me in every way. thank you!! hoping to see more
Yeah, i'm still confuse if i'm a introvert or ambivert cause i'm a good listener and Communicator but i don't really like to socialized😩 (i'm more comfortable when i'm alone) I ain't good at english~, hope y'all understand. Struggle is real😳
@@seyoung7830 intro/extro don't exist. Everyone is in the middle. For example I am 60% extroverted meaning that I am barely outgoing. So my introverted friends think I'm fun and outgoing while my extroverted friends think I'm quiet. By definition I'm an ambivert. Take a big five test to see how extroverted you are.
don't worry, except god, nobody can't tell you what kind of a person are you.........so after seeing this video, don't completely decide that YOU ARE AN AMBIVERT, but better to think I MIGHT BE AN AMBIVERT//INTROVERT etc....
Before like a year ago I didnt fall to introvert category neither extrovert I didnt know what kind of personality I had. I absolutely love being with my friends or just with me. I love my alone time. I love meeting new people. I used to think it was bad because I felt like I didnt fit in in anywhere but now I think it's a blessing. Love ya'll

Thank you so much for this! I act like a total extrovert in other places, but big groups really stress me out, and I need down time after being in social settings. I wasn’t sure which one I was, so this is really helpful! :)
I’m mainly a introvert, my social side shows during arguments. I could be sitting in a corner alone for 3 hours, hear a group of people arguing, go destroy the opinion I disagree with, and then go right back to the corner.
The storytelling behind the psychology explanation is just so awesome. The mafia theme makes it interesting lol. And I like the ambivert character for no reason, they just seem so cool xD
Unrelated, but just found out I'm asocial and I'm honestly happy that I found something that describes me well. Especially the line: " An asocial person may have one or two friends, though never have any interest in hanging out or doing anything that doesn't involve chatting online with them." Thanks
I took my mbti test 3 times and one time it came as infp and other times it came as enfp. But I knew that I was not only a introvert or an extrovert I knew I belong somewhere in the middle. This video helped me. Thank you
Try looking into the detailed cognitive functions. The popular 16 personalities test (or any of those that marked each opposing letter by points) is a good start to see where you roughly lie at, but if you encounter this uncertainty, you would need to look deeper.
As a kid, were you ruled more by your imagination, or more by your methods of processing your emotions? Have you always considered yourself a wide eyed idealist, or have you always been the type who loves to explore all possibilities? Have you always valued knowing who you are, or has your first priority always been exploring what you can do? Which cognitive function you developed first determines whether you are an introvert or an extrovert.
ENFPs most frequently mistype as INFP because their dominant function, extroverted iNtuition (Ne), is by far the most ambiverted of the cognitive functions. It takes its energy from EVERYWHERE, including internal sources. It's only considered an extroverted function because it gets some of its energy from external sources. Fi is more strongly introverted than Ti, so the ENFP is more ambiverted than the ENTP.
This is me, and also WOW 1:06 that is me all the time. In class (I am in 6th grade) all of my group mates come to me if they need help. And in ELD the people around me come to me if they need help, people from other groups some times just move to get to me… on average 6 or 7 people are coming for my aid.
Well that's because many people probably aren't familiar with that term. You can't expect people to know everything in this world, especially when some terms are made up from the ground up. I'm pretty sure there are some things you're unfamiliar with yourself.
Okay I have chills, so I knew I was an introvert, however, I also thought I was an extrovert. I can be sociable, and quiet at the same time, it truly really depends, and now that I have viewed this video, I earnestly believe I'm an Ambivert. This video stunningly describes me, I might as well look out the window to check if someone Is there. Besides the jokes and all, I appreciate this video, and I love every day and every night that comes as I discover a little more about myself with or without people, all the time, it's nice, and quite comforting, seeing new sides to myself, and again thank you.
Psych2Go: 7 Signs You're An Ambivert, NOT An Introvert Every Teenager Ever: Time to see what the hell I am Hi there, I am an Ambivert. Bye, Have A Good Day
So many YT channels present introverts like they're defective, or something. You'd think people would understand that we need both extroverts and introverts. Variety is the spice of life. ❤
*still confused as to what I am* 😅 deffo not an extrovert tho. I love going out and having a good time. No matter where I go, I always prefer it to being home all day. I'm not very chatty and open with strangers, but I do enjoy meeting new people with whom I share some common ground. But being around ppl for too long can drain me. Like.. ?!
This is soo me! I consider myself as an ambivert but just a little bit more to extrovert, because when i took the MBTI test i got 64% extroverted and the fact that i am ENFP-T the one extrovert that people call the most introverted extrovert or the ambivert of the MBTI community just makes it better 😅
Edit: heh, I'm the opposite I thought I was an extrovert, but now I'm debating if I'm an ambivert- interesting... 1. I guess I'd say I'm good at socializing unless I think a group is toxic... I like talking :D And yeah, it really depends on how much I socialize and what I do if I need a break 2. I always like to take that leadership role and force people to do things when they're being lazy and congratulate them when I think fit- I always check over people's work as well if it's not too much for me to do 3. I analyze people before I strick a conversation, but I do prefer jumping right into it (people say I'm a little intimidating though...) 4. I prefer mostly solitude when I work just because fitting everyone's needs in a group can take a lot of effort. It really depends on the group, though. I just feel by myself is most efficient most of the time because people get lazy. I kinda force introverts to speak up in group settings and force extroverts to calm down (they usually don't get too loud though) 👉👈 It's kind of weird I prefer alone most of the time, though, since I'm often labeled as an extrovert- 5. I usually talk A LOT, but also try to listen. I do fairly well with conversations in terms of awkwardness and length I think... 6. I do analyze people before trusting them, and usually it's either "it's going to take A LOT for this person to gain my trust" or "they seem pretty trustworthy, I'll go talk to them and test them" 7. I totally agree with the last one, it depends on how my week went but I HATE just sitting at home on weekends- I prefer at least one activity, depending on how my week went Sorry for the long comment, finally got to watch the video and was super interested in it! Do you guys think I'm an ambivert? I've considered myself an extrovert for so long!
I think you are an ambivert but more on the extrovert side because you have that extrovert energy when dealing with people and you sound confident enough to be leaning more to extrovert ambivert side
I've considered myself to be an introvert at first but I realized that even if I'm usually quiet in social settings and awkward when I have to talk to strangers, I LOVE spending time with my friends/ family. I always look forward to gatherings and hanging out with my friends but I also don't mind spending time alone. Even after an exam I'd make plans to hang out or visit someone. I like making new friends, but I really hated having to interact with strangers I had no interest in. Social interactions don't usually drain me but I remember once in a gathering when I spoke to a person that I rarely meet and the conversation was so difficult that it drained me so much making me not wanting to go back to the gathering. I never truly felt like an introvert or an extrovert so I think I'm an ambivert
I’m an INFJ. But this is definitely me. Sometimes when I say I’m an introvert, people think Im an extrovert but sometimes when I’m with people who are too sociable or too outgoing I don’t feel comfortable enough. Thank you 🫶✨
As a mathematician I'm always confused when people force things that are so obviously fluid and multifacetted into such rigid categories. Having 3 classes is better than a binary choice but still quite limited. This kind of grouping is fine if it is for quick explaining but I feel it is limiting when it is used to 'define' people. If social behaviour was a line with intro and extroverted at each end and ambiverted in the middle, then I'd be closer to the middle than the limits. But maybe it is not a line (i.e. a spektrum) but a multidimensional vectorspace instead. Maybe we lose information and identity when we restrict ourselves to a spektrum.
I think Im an ambivert, but more on the introverted side. I love working or talking with my friends, but I don’t exactly feel comfortable around strangers, and I would have a hard time starting conversations. I’m a better listener than I am a talker, and at a party I would like to rather stay close to my friends, or just not go at all. I work fine alone, but it would be nice to have a friend keep me company and hold my focus. I would definitely not be comfortably doing a project with a stranger, and would much rather just keep quiet in public and such. I’m not completely sure though! Great video by the way! I had fun watching :)
Could be neurodivergent 🤷🏻 being autistic + ADHD made me always think I was an introvert because of how much I enjoy time alone and how draining I find social interaction to be. Turns out I was just spending a ton of energy to mask and try to act neurotypical. now that I spend most of my social time with other neurodivergent ppl and don't have to put in so much effort, I find that i enjoy socializing more. Could also be a trauma thing now that I think about it, cause that's certainly why I was afraid of intimacy and getting close to people while simultaneously craving it desperately
Saturdays are for social and Sundays are for solo time ;) Ideally, this is how basically all of my weekends would go. Sometimes I will go on a trip with friends or pack a weekend with social stuff, but I also go on love to go on solo trips to the woods or hide away from everyone for an entire weekend pretty often, soooo... it all ends up about 50/50 in the end. Everything else was right on
Yeah, that is totally me! It even showed me in an MBTI test, that I'm an ambivert, and I totally agree with that! :D It's crazy how everything you say here matches up with me
I am an ambivert and a capability that I end up having is joining together the weirdest of friend groups. I end up connecting extroverts with introverts into a complicated and understanding system. Whenever an introvert is uncomfortable, I recognize that and notify the extroverts to calm down a bit. I don't know how but I end up joining different types of friend groups.
A lot of people say I'm an introvert and a few said that I'm an extrovert. I just took an online quiz and according to it, I'm a 7/10 ambivert. Looks like that explains the mix of opinions, I'm in between the two!
I've noticed sometimes that there is a bit of fluidity in my personality when it comes to how sociable I can be. However, a lot of this simply depends on how I feel as well as who I choose to hang out with. I don't care to be around people who are more talkative, and whenever I feel stressed or am struggling with my mental health, I tend to be more reserved or withdrawn. What's funny to me the most though is that while I do consider my friend group to be small, I have a lot of acquaintances or people who say they know me, but haven't taken the time to really get to know me on a more personal level. Such is life, I guess.... I tend to look at these traits not as definitive labels, but moreso as percentages within a very big and broad spectrum. It's honestly easier to say that I am 80% introverted and 20% extroverted, and these percentages can change on any given day.
I am definitely an ambivert, although I probably lean more onto the introvert side. I'm quiet most of the time, and like to be alone but part of me still likes socializing with other people, and work with them in groups. I wouldn't exactly say that I can manage people but I do try sometimes. And I also wouldn't exactly say that it's easy to get to know me, because it definitely takes time. It also definitely takes time for someone to gain my trust, because I have trust issues. And I'd rather not have my weekends packed, because I need rest- Most of the people I know are definitely extroverts, though there are some introverts among them. There is this one particular close friend of mine that is probably an ambivert like me. He could be chaotic with his friends sometimes but he's the quiet and reserved type of person most of the time too, much like me. We have some things in common but we definitely have some differences that he and I noticed. Despite that though, we're still close friends :)
I get confused very often if I either an introvert or extrovert because I act like both so i was glad to know that i am an ambivert and i am very happy about it!
it's lovely that people can relate to that label. I stil stick to that explanation: extrovert = gains energy from others introvert = gets enery from beeing alone beeing social is something totally different. So while that description in the video stil fit to me, I'm a full introvert because even with friends and enjoyment the conversation it sucks my energy, so I need to have alone time to recharge. So true ambivalent would from my view be someone who can gain energy from both things. be with people and be alone. Regardless if they are on the more social or the shy side :)
I am ambivert and I also don’t have emotions close my judgment at all and it allows me to be able to work around people and it feels like such a lucky gift. I never feel stressed when talking to people and can get along with almost anyone
Hello an ambivert here! Not sure if some other ambivert relate but my Energy sometimes depends on what environment I am in. For example: In my room, I’m more of an introvert, and I don’t like talking with my siblings or friends at that moment. While outside i want to tag someone along with me. We don’t even need to talk.
YESSS, I enjoy socializing, but tend to be alone. I often lead/manage/make decision to my friends. I love listening and giving advice. i cautious about trusting someone. I make my own rule, etc, etc. I think I'm ambivert to introvert or 60% introvert?
A term I've never heard of until today.... but it would seem to suit me fairly well. I don't mind gabbing, but generally find people boring and too ambivalent. My dearest friends, however, have my undivided attention the entire time we're together. Okay. I'm not so obscure. Thanks for the videos! I watch them all.. whether or not they're relatable.
A concert with thousands of people is something I can’t handle. A small local show with lesser known bands with people I can recognize is a place I can let my shell fall off completely. I observe people and think deeply of interactions other people go through but I tend to avoid social interaction
Otherwise I completely relate to the ambivert... Except for the trust part. I don't have the best sides of introverts and extroverts, I distance myself from good people because of my trust issues, but the second when the person I'm talking to is manipulative, I trust them the most and cause myself even more trust issues 😭
I’m definitely an ambivert. Just for the record, I’m an INFJ who loves to listen to people but isn’t fully an introvert and at the same time doesn’t talk as much to be considered an extrovert. I have a really hard time talking to strangers and I normally don’t go out at the last minute. You gotta tell me your plans in advance, otherwise I won’t go since I’m not mentally prepared. At the same time, I’ve been suffering at lot during quarantine because I wanna go out but at the same time I don’t want to. Depends on the day lol As Frank James once said: you’re an ambivert. You’re both introvert and extrovert, and neither. You’re in the middle.
Most of the time I'm an ambivert, sometimes I become a bit more of an introvert, and sometimes I become more of an extrovert. I'm in the sweet spot of being an ambivert when I'm with a few of my best friends. I'm gonna have to adapt in becoming a little more extroverted when I'm with a lot of people. And I really enjoy being alone or when doing a task.
i knew i wasn't completely an introvert since i dont really always want to be alone but enjoy it most of the time, usually when people ask me if iam introverted or extroverted i dont usually know how to respond and just say iam introverted even tho i feel extroverted sometimes also i never knew ambivert was a thing so its helpful.
Oh my gosh. Thank you so much. I'd honestly been slightly stressing about this for awhile now, especially since this kind of information was becoming more and more important in my psychology class. I had always identified as an extrovert because i love spending time with people and the rest of my family didnt. But then, i got really confused when i heard the definitions: Introverts: social battle lowers when they hang out with people Extrovert: social battery recharges when they hang out with people That really confused me because i cant imagine your battery recharging when your with people?? (If that's your case lemme know! Super interesting) and my battery lowers, it just lowers very slowly when im with people. Like, my social battery can last exactly 4 weeks with no breaks. Onky after 4 weeks will I become exhausted. But this social battery scale was the only thing I knew about that defined inroversian and extroversian, and since there was a part of the scale for ambiversian, i didnt know what to do. So thank you, thank you, thank you so much. This was actually the first video I'd ever seen where literally *everything* on the list was something I related to. So thank you so much, this helped me a lot.
You describe me perfectly. First I though I was an introvert but I can talk to new people and make friends if I want to. I can socialize to everyone but not everyday, I there are days where I want to be alone and recharge and there are also time where I itch to meet new people or my friends.
I like socialising but it depends on the type of people I'm with. If they're really overly competitive who talk way too much with some poor manners; giving me a weak impression, then I don't like to be with them. If otherwise, then I do. I don't speak very much but I know when to speak if it is necessary.
It looks like I'm ambivert with sometime going "full introvert" or "full extravert". I enjoy spending time with mates, but also I need time for myslef, my things and relax after. I am very sociable around close friends and I have no problem with keeping the conversation going, but talking to strangers often is hard, "ice needs to be broken first". I am often the leader in group projects down to my carisma and usually I manage the team well, but I enjoy more doing the thing myself at my own terms.
There's two types of ambivert. The one described in this video is the one that's the sweet spot half way between extroversion and introversion. The other type is more like constant fluctuation between the two. The second type will spend some time as an introvert, it could be a month, a week, a year, or just a few hours, but at some unpredictable point, they'll switch, and they'll spend another unpredictable length of time as an extrovert. These people swing unevenly between extroversion and introversion like a pendulum in a moving car on a bumpy road. I don't know what kind of advice to suggest for how to know if you're that type, but it's a type. (I'm this type) Unlike the first type of ambivert, we can't tailor ourselves to the situation as needed. We're stuck in whichever mode we're in until our brains flip the switch.
Whoa, that is scarily accurate. Describes me to a T. The only thing about weekends is my parents never really let me go out, so I got used to spending a lot of time at home on the weekends. Now I don't like going out as much, even when I get the chance to go out with friends or have them over. I'll still go out with them, but usually on weekends I go out by myself just give myself a break from my family. I'm not sure if any of that makes me more of an introvert or not, but I'm still really thankful for this video! Thank you!
I am an Amnivert. It's my word for someone who doesn't fit into any of those categories. We're empathic, psychic, and internally adventurous. We enjoy nature more than anyone else. We don't do our best in any other settings. Ambiverts are so rare that you guys didn't have a word to describe them. We know what we want, have high intuition, and are full of more wisdom than average. However, we still have those days in which we make huge mistakes. We're known as Chaotic and often fix errors, but we can cause them too. When unaligned, we're inclusive so we can heal. When aligned, we heal others and radiate love and peace. Amniverts don't work well with any one particular path like others. We often have medical conditions such as autoimmune conditions or otherwise that often keep us from doing everything we wish to do, so we instead encourage the adventurers around us to be more ambitious. We're good leaders, but we don't do very much. We are slower than average people, but we are powerful. Often, we see the best in others, but we also learn to recognize when someone is being devious or wrong. We are unsure at first, but later in life, we figure out the difference between right and wrong. Amniverts often come off as a threat, but we mean well! We only want to see you healthy! We're challenging and highly intelligent. We don't understand what it's like to live super limited like Introverts or extroverts. We push ourselves beyond the boundaries and always find ourselves being overachievers. Some may call us Starseeds. However, I decided to explain it to appeal to the logical mindset. Amniverts often find themselves in sticky situations. We're often sought after for our energy and can easily be Kidnapped, harmed, or even murdered for our greatest power. Amniverts are able to empathize with everyone, but not everyone can empathize with us. We don't like to move often, but once we get settled into a place, we're happy. We often bring joy to the plate, but not in a fake way. People often attack us because we threaten their ideal lifestyle choices, no matter how toxic they are. We are the ones who get born to change the world for the best! We can pray harder than others and make things positive for lives to become better. We can cast spells but unlike the others, our spells are unexpected. We do spells to fix Realities and to help align ourselves. We keep an eye open for anomalies and try to fix them. Amniverts don't fit into any society standards. At all. We walk our own paths no matter what. You may describe us as a high-functioning autistic people, but make no mistake. We're much more powerful than you think we are. You will recognize us whenever we speak of the Universe as our own Godly structure because we're a reflection of its greatest assets. However, that doesn't mean we cannot reflect your insecurities back onto you. We mirror other people to blend in. Amniverts can lose their sense of identity in the process, but we often recognize the signs and fight against it.
I am an Ambivert then, I'm just not good at starting conversations and whether starting off slow and awkward or just letting the other person carry the conversation first, which makes me sound and feel like an Introvert, when really I like talking to others, my body just doesn't let me or it's hard to, but in the same time maybe it's because I'm Autistic, and my autism makes it harder for me to communicate effectively.. :/
No it's the fact that I'm so silent and quiet at first when it comes to things, but then give me like 3 or a week to have me really warmed up, and talking to people!, so I feel like only three of things lined up to me
I’ve realized in a while that I’m not an introvert or extrovert. I fall in between. In group settings I talk BUT I’d rather listen most of the time when in group settings. I talk more to select people too. Sometimes it makes me crazy because I want to be alone but then I also don’t want to be alone lol
Wow... You actually described me lol, I always had problems with myself, thinking I'm an introvert yet never shutting up even with random people, and also everything else that is mentioned fits me, thanks for helping I guess

Why should I, an introvert who LOVES being an introvert, "grow" into an ambivert when that's the LAST thing I want to do?!

I am a INFP or a "Mediator" and I felt really identificated with this video, I feel like I really am an Ambivert!! Thank you for the video guys! It helped me understand me better 😊💖
Hey may I ask a question. What does INFJ stand for ?

This video helps me know more about my social life. I’m not an introvert or an extrovert, but I’m in between.
I’ve always called it being an introverted extrovert. I experience the first sign super hard

This is me, and also WOW
1:06 that is me all the time. In class (I am in 6th grade) all of my group mates come to me if they need help. And in ELD the people around me come to me if they need help, people from other groups some times just move to get to me… on average 6 or 7 people are coming for my aid.

Sounds to me like you might be an ambivert!
Oh, I am a certified Introvert and love every second of it! Lol

Same here!
Ah! No wonder I couldn’t figure sometimes where I fall in a category! Fab animation!
Edit: heh, I'm the opposite I thought I was an extrovert, but now I'm debating if I'm an ambivert- interesting...
1. I guess I'd say I'm good at socializing unless I think a group is toxic... I like talking :D And yeah, it really depends on how much I socialize and what I do if I need a break
2. I always like to take that leadership role and force people to do things when they're being lazy and congratulate them when I think fit- I always check over people's work as well if it's not too much for me to do
3. I analyze people before I strick a conversation, but I do prefer jumping right into it (people say I'm a little intimidating though...)
4. I prefer mostly solitude when I work just because fitting everyone's needs in a group can take a lot of effort. It really depends on the group, though. I just feel by myself is most efficient most of the time because people get lazy. I kinda force introverts to speak up in group settings and force extroverts to calm down (they usually don't get too loud though) 👉👈 It's kind of weird I prefer alone most of the time, though, since I'm often labeled as an extrovert-
5. I usually talk A LOT, but also try to listen. I do fairly well with conversations in terms of awkwardness and length I think...
6. I do analyze people before trusting them, and usually it's either "it's going to take A LOT for this person to gain my trust" or "they seem pretty trustworthy, I'll go talk to them and test them"
7. I totally agree with the last one, it depends on how my week went but I HATE just sitting at home on weekends- I prefer at least one activity, depending on how my week went
Sorry for the long comment, finally got to watch the video and was super interested in it! Do you guys think I'm an ambivert? I've considered myself an extrovert for so long!
This is exactly me!
@@abhiramtammana3105 Glad you can relate! I was really interested in this topic 😊
I guess I’m an ambivert then, although one leaning slightly towards introvert. I’ve normally just described myself as a social introvert. Oh well
Is it normal to have bursts of confidence that make you extraverted knowing you’re and ambivert but your conscious make you an introvert?
I’m an INFJ. But this is definitely me. Sometimes when I say I’m an introvert, people think Im an extrovert but sometimes when I’m with people who are too sociable or too outgoing I don’t feel comfortable enough. Thank you 🫶✨
Why nobody is talking about how the green dude fucking gets shot and dies 💀💀💀
Now I know I'm for sure a introvert I do non of this, but everything on an introvert is what I do often.
-"Do you relate to any of the signs above?"
-Yes actually, i relate to ALL of them.

I always thought i was an introvert.
It's crazy how everything you say here matches up with me
glad to know there is a word for it! I always thought I was just a really extroverted introvert but this video describes me so well! thanks
And I'd rather not have my weekends packed, because I need rest-
Most of the people I know are definitely extroverts, though there are some introverts among them.
I get confused very often if I
either an introvert or extrovert because I act like both so i was glad to know that i am an ambivert and i am very happy about it!
it's lovely that people can relate to that label.
I stil stick to that explanation:
extrovert = gains energy from others
introvert = gets enery from beeing alone
beeing social is something totally different.
The song playing in the background is called Smoke Jacket Blues by TrackTribe. I have used it in ny own videos before.
I am ambivert and I also don’t have emotions close my judgment at all and it allows me to be able to work around people and it feels like such a lucky gift. I never feel stressed when talking to people and can get along with almost anyone
I LOVE the mafia - movie style you weebed in this video, it´s amazing
This videos great! Not only the info but also the funny animation!
Hello an ambivert here! Not sure if some other ambivert relate but my Energy sometimes depends on what environment I am in. For example:
In my room, I’m more of an introvert, and I don’t like talking with my siblings or friends at that moment.
I love you guys so much! And OMG, this was so cute. Little mafia-vert trio. Heehee
Depends on the day lol
As Frank James once said: you’re an ambivert.
But then, i got really confused when i heard the definitions:
Introverts: social battle lowers when they hang out with people
Extrovert: social battery recharges when they hang out with people
That really confused me because i cant imagine your battery recharging when your with people?? (If that's your case lemme know! Super interesting) and my battery lowers, it just lowers very slowly when im with people. Like, my social battery can last exactly 4 weeks with no breaks. Onky after 4 weeks will I become exhausted.
But this social battery scale was the only thing I knew about that defined inroversian and extroversian, and since there was a part of the scale for ambiversian, i didnt know what to do.
So thank you, thank you, thank you so much. This was actually the first video I'd ever seen where literally *everything* on the list was something I related to. So thank you so much, this helped me a lot.
This is so me 😂 Especially that going out occassionally. Like when I feel like I'm staying too much at home, I contact my friends to go out.
I am an ambivert, but if it’s between introvert and extrovert, I’m definitely introvert.
I feel like I’m introverted most times, but become abnivert when absolutely needed❤
This was one of the best animation style in p2g videos, please more of this
Awww, thank you. Glad you like it!!
Learning about ambiverts while watching the animation in the background slowly get darker wasn’t how I expected my day to go, but I am better for it.
I remember taking a quiz and scoring 52% introvert, 48% extrovert, which was when I first found out what an ambivert is
Whoa, that is scarily accurate. Thank you!
Had to watch twice I got caught up watching the animation story it went from 0 to 100% real damn quick
When the time of quarantine is really exhausting but I love having a good alone time a break in socializing.
I'm definitely an ambivert! I love meeting new people, but prefer having an intimate circle of friends. I definitely need downtime afterwards though.
I once did the 16 personalities test out of curiosity and I got 49% for extroversion and 51% for introversion. 😂
Ambivert through and through.
i got 51% extrovert and 49% introvert lol
