Right now, I am an Amethio fan. His calmness and dark side clearly shows that there is more to him than meets the eye and I think that he will be one of those antagonist/protagonist kind of character and who knows, maybe even a full protagonist soon. I also love the star Pokémon they chose for him. Ceruledge is really meant for him. I know future episodes will be dope.
Maybe it’s the airship, the grandmother, the storm cloud, and the legendary pendant, but it looks like the writers were inspired by Castle in the Sky for these episodes. I still love it. That movie was awesome!! 🤩
I also appreciate that the Pokémon Team are taking a different tone from Ash’s journeys. It will better separate the two stories and give Liko a better chance to experience her own stories. 😊
the airships have a long call back in general to tons of past favorite series and i was pleased to see one.
Amethio is super cold and all but I can tell he likes pokemon ! The fact that he told his accomplice to let go of sprigatito and she was shocked. Also when Ceruledge accidentally attacked that place where those pokemon were, Amethio looked worried?🤔 this character is so intriguing, there’ll be much to him in the long run I hope! Like why is this teenager in this organisation and also the leader of those two… Btw I giggled at how Sprigatito was literally about to kill this man, aiming that huge attack to his face like that 😂

Iam absolutely stunned in amazement with this beginning I love that it is taking a darker approach, all the characters are 10/10 the Explorers actually look like they have really bad intentions, the battles were so cool Animation and writing 10/10 best start to Pokemon anime not even close can’t wait to see what happens next
I completely agree with you. The darker route they choose for this series is perfect it really gives me that XY vibe especially with the clean animation and 3D camera returning even the new OST it all compliments it well making the Pokemon Horizons feel like actual anime which I love. Like you said the explorers also seem like they have really bad intentions which make us see them as actual threats to our characters rather than a villain team who doesn't take it seriously I can't wait to see what unfolds after this!

Breathtaking is right. This was an amazing start to a real promising series
Like I said in the past. Studio OLM can create really good stories when we saw short series like Pokemon Origins, or Pokemon Evolutions. So it's not suprising that the begining of this series is really this good. The old pokemon anime kinda held them all down since they were stuck in a formula where they couldn't do anything to major with main characters. I don't expect that every episode of Pokemon Horizons will be this good, but if they will need to take a break or switch to 24 episodes per year, then I am all for it if this will give them more time to give us better storytelling in this anime.
Ann is my favorite character because of Oshuwott! I hope she remains a strong rival and evolved it all the way up! Maybe even bring out its Hisuian form that would be crazy!
Ayy your Ann fan im so glad to hear that! The fact she got Oshawott was definitely one of the best choices for her not to mention her personality is amazing and I love her friendship with Liko! If she got Hisuian form in the future that would in fact be crazy its certainly on the table

I totally called the pendant's connection to Terapagos! Tho it was a cool surprise to see the baby/low-powered (?) form.
I really like the cast so far. Friede seems really cool and haa a fun personality, and I'm happy we have an adult major protagonist. I enjoyed how perceptive Liko is, not trusting Amethio right off (it's so refreshing after seeing Ash fall for TR's obvious disguises all the time) and running away with the pendant when she gets suspicious of him, and I like that the Explorers group seem like they'll be a more serious threat. (I'm interested in learning more about them as an organization and what Amethio's motives are for joining them.)
Yes it is aplmost predictable that the pendent and pokeball are connected to terapagos and rayquaza respectively

I was kind of on the fence with this new series. Ash's series had no direction in it, and all he did was either fight a gym leader, or fight team rocket. It got stale.
But I'm very glad I did watch this new series. It has the same energy with the Pokemon shorts in RUclips that have very good stories and animation. I have high hopes for this and will watch it from start to finish.

An awesome start to Horizons things are just going to keep getting better for the anime. The new anime reminds me of a mini Pokémon anime series like Generations and Twilight wings. Music was great scene with the Moon in the sky Friede flying on his charizard with Liko. Left me wanting more of Horizons the cliffhangers. The battles of Friede vs Amethio were top level. Captain Pikachu in the house so cool and his expressions crossing it's arms and standing tall on Friede's Shoulder.
Battling against Ceruledge using Thunder Punch and Volt tackle running through Friede's legs. Friede is like an adult Ash so much Enthusiasm would like them both to meet each other but unlikely to happen. Amethio and Friede are top favorites of characters and have a rivalry. Good to know Amethio is the team leader of the Explorers he will be that character you'll dislike in a great or terrible way. Hope we get to see Amethio's full team I think rest of his members will dark representing his personality.
Im suprised that its more effective to attack the owner than the pokemon. Hope they do this for the rest of the episode and focus on the mystery only. Liko isnt the type of battle character anyway so mystery really suits her well

I know that Pokemon company said that Liko and Roy are not related to Ash or Serena (as parents) but Liko herself reminds me of Serena's personality here is some explanation:
After watching it today with the real translation. Liko says she wants learn about herself and know about her goals which reminds me of Serena more than Ash when she started and had the same questions. Liko also speaks to herself alot (inner monologue) which also reminds me of Serena.
I know the Pokemon company said they will keep Ash 10 (however, they say many things and contradict it):
So, what is QUESTIONABLE is that we know nothing about her grandma's name or look and her parents. She only says to her roommate she was given this pendant by her grandma to give her luck and when ann asks Liko why she wont see her parents for the break Liko says her parents are busy. Why would the Pokemon anime hide the identity of her grandma (who we could know by name or by appearance) if it the same as Deliah or Grace? And why the day she travels from her family we don't see her saying goodbye to the family this is such an important event, why would the anime hide these info???? It makes me believe there is 50% now that Ash and Serena might be Liko's parents.
And Roy might be Goh's and Chloe's son (the purple and black hair and Goh's skin tone)....

You still don’t know if Ash round up with Serena or someone else they never confirmed that they needed to confirm this in the Siri or could just be following someone else story and Ash is still still around and not the main focus now person I think it’s different there yet. man i was a little bumed down over ash but only because he has been in my life like 3th grade for me lol with that said i was mind blown at the possibilities and still lots of questions we need ANSWERS FOR SUCH AS how far into the future are we? and dont you think the girl with the oshuat looks like a mini jessie and her attitude a combined mix of jessie and james attitude "live in the moment and spunky yet chilled and friendly" not to mention her hair color red plus blue is purple? i hope i am right lol on my hunch and can we have a gym run with the protagonist please!!! i also like the whole skypirate adventure idea but i hope we dont region hop daily like on prior anime i would like multiple episodes if they are to visit a new region. lets just do this right!!!

Night Slash didnt send Charizard flying back, it actually just straight up got overpowered by Dragon Claw. You can tell because Ceruledge is sent flying backward with it's eyes closed because it's wincing in pain from the Dragon Claw

Liko’s grandmother might be Johanna, officer Jenny isn’t the only one with blue hair meaning her mother might be Dawn. Also the one that looks like nurse joy might have been a nurse joy but something happened that made her stop working there which is why she didn’t want to go in the Pokémon center and send Liko instead.
