Though episode 4 will definitely be a Roy focused episode, I get the feeling episode 5 will be more focused on another confrontation with the explorers (as well as Roy catching Fuecoco by the end). Also, similar to how Journeys had Ash as the main lead & Goh as the secondary lead, I think Liko will be the lead main protagonist of Horizons, while Roy will be the secondary lead. Looking forward to watching every Horizons episodes as they come out.
I really hope Roy gets a ton of focus, even if Liko is in the main spotlight for now! I love them both and want to see them both get the love & focus they deserve! 😊
Absolutely LOVING this series so far. Probably an unpopular opinion, but I actually kinda prefer it over the old series so far! As long as it stays this story based. Like, I adore the original series, but this darker and more story based series is way more preferable to me.

If Pokemon had been an Anime where Ash aged, and they had built on XYZ, where he had the best art style, he still won the championship, and they had made Journeys and Mezase a better finale arc for Ash's depature, then I would disagree...but since Pokemon just had Ash respawning his age to 10 over and over again and downgraded, Imma say you're 110% right.
I think maybe they realized they're potentially being tracked, but it could also be some sort of electro-device that could somehow disable the airship too? Like some kind of over-loading shock thing. (I'm leaning towards that over a bomb.) Imo, given Amethio trying to manipulate Liko into giving him the pendant (at least before she ran), and how he did save Sprigatito (even tho it was advantageous to him) and how he seems to be apologizing to it in the preview, I think he/potentially his group will be the sort to avoid doing unnecessary harm. A bomb might be a bit too risky. Like, what if Liko/the pendant get caught up in the possible explosion?
An electro-device could definitely make sense too! I should've been more specific in my video, by "bomb" I just kinda meant any kind of little device that would damage and disable the airship! But "bomb" definitely gives off the vibes of a huge explosion, so yeah, I maybe should've been more specific 😆 I can't wait to see whatever it is, I love that the villains are genuinely so smart and threatening and dark!
I really like how non linear this series is. There is no end goal for liko like beating a league for ash in each series. She's a new trainer that doesn't know what she wants and is pushed into a situation in which she needs to grow and adapt fast
I'm sure we'll see Ash again someday! 😁 but yeah I'm just so happy that most of us are loving this new series so far! It definitely makes dealing with losing Ash a little easier!

As her journey continues they might make her more confident and completely drop her anxious side, basically making her Ash 2. She likely will become more confident as the story progresses, but completely removing her shy personality is bad writing. I'm very invested in Horizons, and I love Riko, but I'm afraid that they might screw on her character the same way they screwed on Ash's character after the Gen 5 reboot.
To be honest, I do find it impressive that Rica Matsumoto was the one whom stayed the longest throughout the entire series when Ash was the main character. To me that's very impressive to voice the same character from the first episode all the way to the final episode of the character for 27 years. That's something I've yet to see American actors even get close to voicing the same character near 20 years.
sarah created my world of happiness and seeing her voice as ash, the character whom i watch everyday, the charcter that helped cheer me up when i was down, the character that went on a journey with all of us by his side, it makes me so happy. i cannot begin to explain how much pokemon has done for me

It's already really hard for me watching Pokemon without Ash, his friends and team rocket but i try watching, still i have to say Pokemon Horizons have been amazing and cant wait to see what happens next and when we see Roy.

What going on because serebii mentioned that episode 4 is called The Treasure That Washed Ashore which I prefer that title not the other one because Two special items passed down is too much in my opinion! Roy gets the Mysterious PokeBall but what happens if he doesn't know that Mysterious PokeBall is actually Shiny Rayquaza PokeBall if these is true Roy automatically inherited a Legendary Pokemon from his family which would get Fans upset so hopefully Roy's Mysterious PokeBall isn't a PokeBall to catch Pokemon but it's used to unlock something like Roy puts the Mysterious PokeBall into something that looks similar to the Mysterious PokeBall design which is a Ancient mechanical device and Roy has the Key to it!?
I am loving "Pokemon Horizons" so far, especially since these first few episodes are already tackling mature themes. I cannot wait to see Episode 3 this week and Roy's debut in Episode 4 next week.
Coming off of today’s episode and preview trailer, I feel like this Rayquaza is going to be kind of like how Koraidon/Miraidon is in the Scarlet & Violet games, where it’s a recurring character for the storyline but isn’t actually used in battles until a much, MUCH later point further down the line. In doing so, I’m also interested to see what the writers decided to do for Rayquaza’s Tera Type. On an unrelated note, I also have a prediction locked in regarding our two protagonists, but I feel it may be too early in the series to take guesses like that. 👀
I hope they have a dub cast for Pokémon Horizons ready to go soon Journeys only has a handful of episodes left and then Horizons is next. I can't wait to see who dubs shy girl Liko not to mention the high-spirited Roy lets just hope they make good choices.
You know, I’m very curious about what Liko and Roy’s future Pokémon teams will be. I don’t think that’ll happen for a while but still that’ll be quite interesting when they start catching Pokémon. I’m still a bit upset about Ash leaving, mostly because I think his ending series could have been better. But I’m very curious how this series is going to go. The only thing I’m worried about is that the Paldea region isn’t going to get enough attention, like how the last series treated Galar. I don’t have a problem with this taking place around the Pokémon world, just as long as each region gets the right amount of attention.
Remember, he may no longer be the main character, but he'll appear at some point from time to time or cameo somewhere on his travels. Liko and Roy may bump into him at some point, who knows.

Honestly, 5th episode of a region based off of Spain coming out on Cinco De Mayo is a very nice touch. Also, a bit late but congratulations on getting your channel back to the way it was! First of all: voting for Sarah! She and Veronica voiced a childhood hero and I cannot thank them enough. 🥺🥺 Second of all: This entire time, I'm like _THIS IS POKEMON?!_ xD this is such a tonal shift from Journeys that it doesn't even feel like it's from the same cloth. I forget who said it but they basically said: This doesn't feel like a _Pokemon_ anime but an _ANIME_ that happens to have Pokemon in it.
The new villains do seem to be a step-up from Jesse, James and Meowth statistically. But I'm only interested in the Baby Terapoges in Liko's pendent, the Paradox Pokemon and any potential relations the Tera Crystals might have with Shadow Crystals.
I hope it doesn’t end up becoming a filler stuffed making-it-as-it-goes series like what happened with Pokémon since they had a time pressure for each episode and had to stretch it across 3-4 years until the next region.
Pokemon Horizons has a completely different theme and I like it a lot. While watching the episodes, a few moments felt so differently animated that I completely forgot I was watching Pokemon. Although Ash is not present, it is still a wonderful successor to the original 25 seasons. Hope this carries on in the future
It's has to be in the same Timeline because they mentioned that Ash will return in the Future but he'll still be 10 Years old so basically that confirms that no one is going to age in the Main Series!
Interestingly, both Roy and Goh are from Kanto, their starter Pokémon are Fire-type, and caught it on episode 5 on their respective series. Roy and Fuecoco are great duo, and looking forward seeing them battle more.
What's missed on the comment about the 5th episode on the 5th day of the 5th month is that that's Cinco de Mayo and Fuecoco is pretty clearly the most Mexican-inspired starter!
I have to admit, I was weary for the new Pokémon horizons without ash and pikachu but to my amazement after a little hesitation I eventually watched both episodes and I was so engrossed and pulled into it, I completely felt I was part of this experience that liko was experiencing all the way through, I would say the villains strike my interest the most as they’re actually threatening and how villains SHOULD be in the Pokémon world if you ask me. not that I don’t love the OG series, it was hard enough to except the new in general after ash finally becoming champ. I like how the story is going on this so far and I love how it isn’t so linear either, liko doesn’t know what she wants as a trainer yet and being part of the crew on an airship helps her figure it out along the way, it forces her to get out into the world and experience it herself to then decide that way. I applaud them for actually doing so well on just these two episodes alone. I’m impressed and honestly I think it will pull in more fans since this is completely different to what we’re used to with ash and pikachu. in my honest opinion I think this is a direction they should definitely go, I also love the animation style too, the Pokémon and the strategies that are more interesting than just “bonding power” that ash has with his Pokémon. seeing captain pikachu battle was incredible, not only with different moves but with great skill, speed and strategy. personality was much different too. I can’t wait to see more of this

Oh dude it's great. Personally I wasn't a big fan of the childy sun & moon era & journeys to me just felt incomplete. I kid you not I haven't felt this good about a pokemon episode in awhile!!! The 1st 2 Horizons episodes reminded me of similar feelings I had with the first 2 episodes of X&Y!
Episode 5 on 5/5 is going to have Tacos in it. That's what's going to make the episode special Tacos, yeah just Tacos lol. Happy episode 5 on Cinco de Mayo everyone.
Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The emergency landing could result from many things, not just a bomb. And like someone else in the comments suggested, the Explorers are after Liko's pendant, but blowing the airship out of the sky is a very risky play cause it could run the risk of the pendant being destroyed. I know there's a Pokemon inside that can make a shield, but we don't really know why it appeared the first time.
I love this new series I wonder whose going to are going to be the new protags of Gen 10 or is it going to be like Ash where he was the protagonist for 26 years. 🤔🧐.
About time the anime took a more mature and serious turn. We haven't gotten something this serious since XY and the stoutland death episode in sun and moon

That’s definitely possible! I just keep thinking about the device that Zir attached to the airship… it could just be a tracker of course, but it seems so coincidental that the airship had to make an emergency landing after the device was attached! 🤔

Honestly, 5th episode of a region based off of Spain coming out on Cinco De Mayo is a very nice touch.

I haven't watched the episodes of pokemon horizons yet but hope pokemon doesn't become too dark where it's not for kids anymore.
The new villains do seem to be a step-up from Jesse, James and Meowth statistically.
But I'm only interested in the Baby Terapoges in Liko's pendent, the Paradox Pokemon and any potential relations the Tera Crystals might have with Shadow Crystals.

Pokemon Horizons has a completely different theme and I like it a lot. While watching the episodes, a few moments felt so differently animated that I completely forgot I was watching Pokemon. Although Ash is not present, it is still a wonderful successor to the original 25 seasons.

It's has to be in the same Timeline because they mentioned that Ash will return in the Future but he'll still be 10 Years old so basically that confirms that no one is going to age in the Main Series!

Interestingly, both Roy and Goh are from Kanto, their starter Pokémon are Fire-type, and caught it on episode 5 on their respective series. Roy and Fuecoco are great duo, and looking forward seeing them battle more.

When you look at Horizon's head writer's past work, it makes sense that the show itself would take some dark turns.
What's missed on the comment about the 5th episode on the 5th day of the 5th month is that that's Cinco de Mayo and Fuecoco is pretty clearly the most Mexican-inspired starter!
I think the anime is going in right direction this time can't wait for Roy's debut in the series and the titles of episodes 4 &5 looks promising

I have to admit, I was weary for the new Pokémon horizons without ash and pikachu but to my amazement after a little hesitation I eventually watched both episodes and I was so engrossed and pulled into it, I completely felt I was part of this experience that liko was experiencing all the way through, I would say the villains strike my interest the most as they’re actually threatening and how villains SHOULD be in the Pokémon world if you ask me. not that I don’t love the OG series, it was hard enough to except the new in general after ash finally becoming champ. I like how the story is going on this so far and I love how it isn’t so linear either, liko doesn’t know what she wants as a trainer yet and being part of the crew on an airship helps her figure it out along the way, it forces her to get out into the world and experience it herself to then decide that way. I applaud them for actually doing so well on just these two episodes alone. I’m impressed and honestly I think it will pull in more fans since this is completely different to what we’re used to with ash and pikachu. in my honest opinion I think this is a direction they should definitely go, I also love the animation style too, the Pokémon and the strategies that are more interesting than just “bonding power” that ash has with his Pokémon. seeing captain pikachu battle was incredible, not only with different moves but with great skill, speed and strategy. personality was much different too. I can’t wait to see more of this

Oh dude it's great. Personally I wasn't a big fan of the childy sun & moon era & journeys to me just felt incomplete. I kid you not I haven't felt this good about a pokemon episode in awhile!!! The 1st 2 Horizons episodes reminded me of similar feelings I had with the first 2 episodes of X&Y!

Let's not get ahead of ourselves. The emergency landing could result from many things, not just a bomb. And like someone else in the comments suggested, the Explorers are after Liko's pendant, but blowing the airship out of the sky is a very risky play cause it could run the risk of the pendant being destroyed. I know there's a Pokemon inside that can make a shield, but we don't really know why it appeared the first time.

That’s definitely possible! I just keep thinking about the device that Zir attached to the airship… it could just be a tracker of course, but it seems so coincidental that the airship had to make an emergency landing after the device was attached! 🤔
Maybe the Pokemon horizons series is a little darker than the old Pokemon, but because this is Kanto, there are still some funny things
