Pokémon Horizon is interesting, I can’t wait to see Fuecoco anime debut. It feels like it gives off a fire type gible vibes.
I am very interested in the rising Volt tacklers and their role in the series as well as why The Explorers want Liko’s pendant.
Overall I think Liko made a good first impression now I just hope Roy can do the same plus the idea of traveling the Pokémon world on an airship is incredible for a plot.
I think this main cast is going to be spectacular. I am really curious what they actually do on their travels though, but I'm sure whatever it is will be highly entertaining
If that pendant belonged to Liko's grandmother, maybe the final boss of Pokémon Horizons will be AI Liko's Grandmother
That would probably be more emotional than Arven's story

That Leafage looked like a Leaf Storm on steroids! My first thought after seeing it was, "Dang, that cat must've leveled up like crazy after beating that Rhydon in the last episode!" 😂
Honestly, I do hope it is explained WHY it was so powerful. Some fans speculate it was kind of like a Tera Grass attack or something. Maybe the pendant had something to do with it. I hope it's more than 'My trainer believes in me so let me unleash my true power!' At least when Pikachu zapped that flock of Spearow, we knew it was a result of Pikachu getting hit by a bolt of lightning that amped it's power to amazing levels.
The battles looking so good could be a result of this series being the first one in the Pokémon anime to have an Action Director.
That could be. I am also being slightly cautious at throwing out too much praise as it is only episodes 1 and 2, which obviously will have been given much more time and energy to make sure they're the best they can be. I'll be curious to see what battles look like when they're slightly longer and take place further away from the premiere of the series
Also the first one having a scripts overseer which means the writing will probably continue to be good since there's an actual structure and story now

Horizon's looking great! Something I like about Liko shown in this episode is that she's perhaps the most level headed character of the bunch, and how she's willing to put others before herself. Also the ships reminds me of those airships shown in steampunk fictions.
It’s good but I really hope you get to meet gym leaders and rivals throughout this story from the game. I have no issue with them doing a free world traveling system when it comes to the series but my main gripe with journeys is them not giving galar enough representation. There was no Bede. Hop didn’t battle and Marnie only got one battle. They added in 3 gym leaders with only 2 of them actually battling. I don’t want that with this series.
I genuinely wouldn't be shocked if there were *zero* characters from the games in this series. I mean, we haven't seen any so far, and it seems like the anime is going away from the typical Gym Challenge story

I think liko is a good character. Might have a similar growth like may and her growth with Pokémon and ash and his battling. They need Roy to not be like goh

maybe I'm bias, but I don't think I'll continue the anime anymore considering there are better animes out there. I actually just liked Pokemon because of Ash being the MC since my childhood years.
yeah, liko is a pretty lame protag in comparison. i dont like it when mcs are "roped into things" for no reason. i like it when they are the catalysts for their own adventure, like ash was.ash was clumsy and made quite a few mistakes at first, relatable for many audiences. but he had a lot of heart and personality. liko doesn't have much really.
The starting episodes were master pieces. Literally, the new protagonist is a relatable one. Like social awkwardness is one of the characteristics I can relate to. They made it good with her, and her personality has some shade of Goh.
The first two episodes have made her character already mysterious and interesting. I'm fkin excited 🙏🙌🏻❤️

7.5/10, the first half of the episode was slow, but the second half picked up the pace with the action and drama.

I’m happy they doing the opposite of ash so we arent repeating but 2 irks j have 1. Why didn’t Anne get a grass type (specifically the gen 8 gorilla) because her design just screams it and 2. Maybe it’s just because I haven’t watched Pokémon but Liko voice kinda just rubs me the wrong way? Maybe I just need to get used to a not so loud mc but idk I can tell the va is excited to be the new mc because how can you not tho
