Haven't watched the video yet, but I've thought about this recently, and I know in all of the Z portion of the story (excluding movies & filler) the only fights he wins with zero assistance from anyone else are vs Nappa, vs Recoome, vs Burter & Jeice, and vs Yakon (almost forgot that one). It's crazy.
I have a suggestion for a future episode in this series, I figure it’s gonna be down the line since The next couple videos are obvious. Goku in super, Z vegeta. Maybe a whole franchise gohan episode. But after all that. A fusion episode would be cool. See who takes more L’s gogeta or vegito (toss in gotenks for fun)
Vegito fight should have counted. Fusions are described as both parties existing simultaneously but represented as one. Whenever Vegito speaks, it's Vegeta and Goku speaking as one mind. But both would have memory as being the one to have said it. They're both having the experience and Fusions are so powerful because it closes gaps for both fighters involved. A simple example of this is that Vegeta is a tactician, and Goku is not. And inversely, Goku has more raw power than Vegeta. So you end up with a power-riddled, battle-hardened, (think both fighter's experience also fusing), tactician. And I would go as far to say that fusing leaves a permanent imprint, even after separating. Both fighters would remember what they had tapped into and use it later. Kinda like how Vegeta could still go SSJ2 after becoming Majin - since he got to experience what it felt like, he knew how to get there again. Goku seemingly becomes a much smarter fighter after fusing with Vegeta. He took Majin Buu seriously and it's the only fight in Z that he doesn't hold back from killing him. Which is why I found it surprising in Super that Whis had to reteach him to not hold back. But then again, Dragon Ball Goku was relentless and killed anyone. Maybe it's ChiChi's fault? XD
I think Goku v Vegeta should be considered a win for Goku. physically he got utterly dominated, but he was still tactically crucial to beating Vegeta. He’s the one who told Gohan to become a Great Ape. Also, Vegeta’s defeat completely changed the course of Vegeta’s life. So that’s also a philosophical win.
All wouldn't have mattered had vegeta not gotten worker up. If only he had stayed in his base, he would have fodderized goku, who was already cooked with the suicidal kaioken x4
Is it though. The goku vs vegeta fight ended with goku losing. The fightvthat happened after that with an exhausted vegeta, had goku be more of an assisting side character rather than a participant. I would say that's a loss for goku and a win for gohan/krillin. Goku himself acknowledged that he lost
Most enemies that Goku faced where allways stronger than him while Naruto was born Kage level, he was already the strongest of his village while Goku wasnt near strong like Freeza or even majin buu at the start of the series.
Tallying these up myself, I thought that Goku would've had 6 wins and 4 losses since I didn't count and forgot about Goku's solo encounter with Raditz as well as forgot about the Cell Jr. he fought. But yeah, I'd say this tally is pretty fair.
Yo fam hit us up with that Super, GT, movie and even Heroes W/L ratios if you've got it in you. And hell I wanna see Gohan's, Vegeta's, and Piccolo's too. I have to disagree about losing to Vegeta though. Blasting Vegeta away with the Kamehameha counts as a decisive victory to me, when Vegeta comes back and transforms that's a separate encounter. Both sides had a long stop to the action and formed new strategies and preparations that you don't get when there's just a short break. The fight would have gone very differently if it kept going from Vegeta's losing the beam struggle, and I'm not even just talking about the Great Ape transformation, the course of the fight changes drastically if Goku keeps up the pressure and attacks Vegeta while he's recovering from the blast. 100% agree with the decision about their rematch though. It's a draw because they totally agreed to stop fighting before Vegeta hit him from behind.
Ive always wanted to know exactly this for goku since he isnt present in most fights. Would you be interested in doing one of these for invinvible? I think it would be kinda funny tbh
Some of this is subjective due to how one interprets a fight. I feel like anyone stepping in is the equivalent of throwing in the towel. Goku vs. Raditz, Round 1 Raditz one-shots Goku. I almost don't wanna call this a fight, but we've seen Dragon Ball tournament fights with similar outcomes, so Raditz gets the win. 0-1-0 Goku vs. Raditz, Round 2 While Piccolo was charging the Special Beam Cannon, Goku tried to hold off Raditz. Like before, he was outmatched. Although, he put up a better fight this time around. 0-2-0 Goku vs. Nappa This one's a bit tricky. Both are evenly matched. Vegeta, out of frustration decides to fight Goku. It isn't until Nappa sets his sights on Gohan and Krillin does Goku actually inflict serious damage on him, after their fight is over. You could say Goku won since Nappa backed out. 1-2-0 Goku vs. Vegeta Vegeta essentially had Goku dead to rights. Gohan and Krillin interfered, which no longer made it a one-on-one encounter, so Vegeta gets the win here. 1-3-0 Goku vs. Recoome What I think is Goku's first outright win in DBZ, no asterisk. He wiped the floor with Recoome. 2-3-0 Goku vs. Burter and Jeice Another easy win for Goku. 3-3-0 Goku vs. Captain Ginyu A fight that Goku could've won, but he decided to give Ginyu the benefit of the doubt, and the Captain took advantage by stealing his body. 3-4-0 Goku vs. Frieza, Round 1 I'm breaking this fight up into rounds. There was a big enough gap between each section of the fight to justify this. I'm giving Round 1 to Frieza because of Piccolo's interference. Goku was already on the back foot prior to Piccolo jumping in. Gohan and Krillin also attack Frieza while Goku's charging the Spirit Bomb. 3-5-0 Goku vs. Frieza, Round 2 Goku becomes a Super Saiyan and eventually overpowers Frieza. 4-5-0 Goku vs. Android 19 The heart virus affects Goku to the point where he's unable to fight. Vegeta interferes. If not for that, Goku would've most likely died. 4-6-0 Goku vs. Cell Goku gives up. Easy enough. 4-7-0 Goku vs. Yakon Blows up Yakon with his Super Saiyan energy. 5-7-0 Goku vs. Majin Vegeta This one's a draw. They agree to stop fighting and work together against Majin Buu. Vegeta knocks Goku out after. 5-7-1 Goku vs. Majin Buu Goku decides to leave. Whereas, Majin Buu wanted to keep fighting. This one's a forfeit on Goku's end, even if he had the upper hand. 5-8-1 Goku vs. Kid Buu While Goku does kill Kid Buu using the Super Spirit Bomb, in terms of the actual one-on-one fight, he doesn't fare too well. Goku's unable to fight at full power, so Vegeta steps in. Then, Fat Buu fights Kid Buu. Vegeta fights again after. It's difficult to give Goku the nod when he does very little fighting. 5-9-1 Goku vs. Beerus, Round 1 Beerus won with very little effort. 5-10-1 Goku vs. Beerus, Round 2 Even as a Super Saiyan God, Goku was no match for Beerus, but he left a lasting impression. 5-11-1 Goku vs. Frieza Goku had the upper hand against Frieza and then Sorbet struck him down with a laser. Goku wins due to interference. 6-11-1 Goku vs. Uub No one's feet hit the floor and Goku flew off with Uub on his back, or on Nimbus if referring to the Kanzenban ending. This one could safely be considered a draw. 6-11-2 W: 35.29% L: 64.70% Feel free to share your thoughts.
9:00 this is probably why goku has a nearly equal amount of L's and W's in Z, because the way he was Winning in OG Dragon Ball was kinda ridiculous and would probably bore the audience/readers if he won all the time in Z
fun fact. Vageta was ment to lose and die in the beam struggle in their first fight, but he had a massive fan base big enough that toriyama decided to take the storyline we have now.
Kid Goku most of the time just straight up kills his enemies and get things done, thats why he has high win ratio. On the other hand Adult Goku wants to be a martial artist master. He wants to fully master his abilities and learn more. To do this, he intentionally let enemies do their tricks so that he could learn from them. But testing your enemy's best move could easily backfired, thats why Adult Goku doesn't have as high win ratio as his kid self.
I would say Goku wasn’t given enough credit for what happened against Ginyu post body change. He didn’t just jump in front of Ginyu and saved Vegeta from having his body stolen once he did it again when he threw that Frog to intercept the second body Ginyu aimed at Vegeta ultimately saving everyone from taking the L and reducing Ginyu’s danger level to zero by making him a Frog.
To be fair, DBZ was originally not going to be about Goku. It was suppose to be Gohan'a story, which it largly still is. But Goku has many of the bigger fights and is considered the protagonist. Dragon Ball is Goku's story, which is why he has more fights and wins.
People love to say Goku beats everybody even though the people he does beat are people way out of his league and he immediately gets humbled by the main threat. Which most of og Dragon Ball consist of people out of his league, and as seen with Z he lost more than he won at the end.

Wait, we're not counting Goku fighting Uub ? Like, it IS part of Dragon Ball Z and not GT if i'm not wrong, but feel free to correct me if it's not the case.
To me goku win/loss rateo in z makes very sense, from the start to the end of the cell saga the story is paving the way for Gohan to take the mantle of Goku, even in the buu saga there is a bit of confusion on who is supposed to lead the fight against the enemy
im suprised Ichigo beat out Luffy, he has a habit of losing his powers and getting bodied at the beginning of an arc. but luffy doesnt think till hes in combat so i guess it makes sense
I think he make luffy win ratio a bit higher as luffy loss to kaido alone like by 4 times and he was taking multiple L in marine ford left and right. He even loss to ceaser where he has no business of losing, lost to crocodile 2 times, Magellem 2 times etc. His win ratio should 40%-50% being generous.
I disagree with the fat buu vs goku being a win for goku. There are two fat buus, post-split fat buu and pre-split fat buu. Post-split fat buu managed to hold down kid buu in a life ir death situation as a regular human managed to walk up and carry vegeta, his hostage, out of the spirit bomb range. That means pre-split fat buu is should be double that power and wouldve likely beaten kid buu. Meaning if goku continued to fight fat buu, he wouldve lost. Heck pre-split fat buu did way better against a stronger vegeta than kid buu. Only getting a bit hurt because he was busy letting himself get hit. And for people want to argue gokus saying he can beat fat buu mean he could, youre forgetting he said the same thing about kid buu and look how that turned out. He didnt even have the ki drain at the time because he was dead, so alive goku wouldve been in an even worse situation against fat buu. Goku only figured out that he needed one super powerful attack to kill buu when he used alot of ki, and i see that as a softer biccolo-raditz situatuon where buu healing was too fast but with enough charged ki, he can win. But in normal setting he wouldve lost, the same situation goes for the fat buu he fought
Goku in DBZ won against Snake way Queen, Nappa, Recome, Burter, Jace, Frieza, Trunks, Yakkon, Majin Buu, Kid Buu, Uub (12 wins) ... Goku in DBZ lost to Rattiz twice, Vegeta, Captain Ginju, Android 19, Perfect Cell, Cell Jr, Majin Vegeta (8 loses) ... Total of 20 fights resault W12: L8.
Sorry anyway you slice it, I believe Goku took a loss in both Raditz battles. He couldn't defeat his brother after Gohan's blitz, got worked 90% of the fight and had to sacrifice his life while having Piccolo clean shop with his Ultimate. He assisted in saving the world yes, but he got dragged tbh. L for Goku
The reason why Goku won so often in OG Dragon Ball is because he was a Big Fish in a Small Pond, he was a kid Sayian against a lot of humans, most of them just soldiers who used only guns, tanks and other weapons. But the second fighters his level arrived, he stared taking L's
We all know goku vs the big 3 goku wins… but what if we take peak big 3 and figure out at what point would goku lose to each of them. Sure ssjb goku DESTROYS gear 5 luffy. But what about ssj1 goku, or piccolo arc, or episode 1. I think this would be cool and no one is talking about it yet

It isn't about whether or not he could've gone 3, but more so the fact that the fight was basically over. Goku and vegeta stopped fighting. Hard to call it a win when you knock put your opponent AFTER ending the fight.

But Goku never give ki to Gohan in Father-son Kamehameha against Cell, he did do is he basically emotional supported and guided him during the beam struggle
It’s stated he did
@@lonkstakes I double checked and no he didn't I might be wrong but if u tell me what moment goku give ki to gohan?
Haven't watched the video yet, but I've thought about this recently, and I know in all of the Z portion of the story (excluding movies & filler) the only fights he wins with zero assistance from anyone else are vs Nappa, vs Recoome, vs Burter & Jeice, and vs Yakon (almost forgot that one). It's crazy.
Do this for Yamcha for both DB and DBZ
EXCELLENT WORK. LONK'S TAKES DRAGON BALL Z GOKU VS VEGETA
Nope.
His team gets a win, he himself gets a loss.
" if you consider everyone vs Vegeta a 1v1, then goku wins!" Crazy cope
Most enemies that Goku faced where allways stronger than him while Naruto was born Kage level, he was already the strongest of his village while Goku wasnt near strong like Freeza or even majin buu at the start of the series.
Naruto was nowhere near the strongest in his village for a long time.
He wasn't THE strongest in the village but Narutos hax get out of jail free card, made him at least jonin level any time he was about to lose a fight
I knew something was up when you didnt mention OG for most of the video lol
I would like to see more videos like this
Tallying these up myself, I thought that Goku would've had 6 wins and 4 losses since I didn't count and forgot about Goku's solo encounter with Raditz as well as forgot about the Cell Jr.
That might be hilarious actually
@@lonkstakes imagine the invincible writer, who claims his character beats superman, saw this. Bro would be in tears
What’s funny is the Bigs 3s W/L ratio isn’t even accurate
Some of this is subjective due to how one interprets a fight. I feel like anyone stepping in is the equivalent of throwing in the towel.
Goku vs. Raditz, Round 1
Raditz one-shots Goku. I almost don't wanna call this a fight, but we've seen Dragon Ball tournament fights with similar outcomes, so Raditz gets the win.
0-1-0
Goku vs. Raditz, Round 2
While Piccolo was charging the Special Beam Cannon, Goku tried to hold off Raditz. Like before, he was outmatched. Although, he put up a better fight this time around.
0-2-0
Goku vs. Nappa
This one's a bit tricky. Both are evenly matched. Vegeta, out of frustration decides to fight Goku. It isn't until Nappa sets his sights on Gohan and Krillin does Goku actually inflict serious damage on him, after their fight is over. You could say Goku won since Nappa backed out.
1-2-0
Goku vs. Vegeta
Vegeta essentially had Goku dead to rights. Gohan and Krillin interfered, which no longer made it a one-on-one encounter, so Vegeta gets the win here.
1-3-0
Goku vs. Recoome
What I think is Goku's first outright win in DBZ, no asterisk. He wiped the floor with Recoome.
2-3-0
Goku vs. Burter and Jeice
Another easy win for Goku.
3-3-0
Goku vs. Captain Ginyu
A fight that Goku could've won, but he decided to give Ginyu the benefit of the doubt, and the Captain took advantage by stealing his body.
3-4-0
Goku vs. Frieza, Round 1
I'm breaking this fight up into rounds.
3-5-0
Goku vs. Frieza, Round 2
Goku becomes a Super Saiyan and eventually overpowers Frieza.
4-5-0
Goku vs. Android 19
The heart virus affects Goku to the point where he's unable to fight. Vegeta interferes. If not for that, Goku would've most likely died.
4-6-0
Goku vs. Cell
Goku gives up. Easy enough.
4-7-0
Goku vs. Yakon
Blows up Yakon with his Super Saiyan energy.
5-7-0
Goku vs. Majin Vegeta
This one's a draw. They agree to stop fighting and work together against Majin Buu. Vegeta knocks Goku out after.
5-7-1
Goku vs. Majin Buu
Goku decides to leave. Whereas, Majin Buu wanted to keep fighting. This one's a forfeit on Goku's end, even if he had the upper hand.
5-8-1
Goku vs. Kid Buu
While Goku does kill Kid Buu using the Super Spirit Bomb, in terms of the actual one-on-one fight, he doesn't fare too well. Goku's unable to fight at full power, so Vegeta steps in. Then, Fat Buu fights Kid Buu. Vegeta fights again after. It's difficult to give Goku the nod when he does very little fighting.
5-9-1
Goku vs. Beerus, Round 1
Beerus won with very little effort.
5-10-1
Goku vs. Beerus, Round 2
Even as a Super Saiyan God, Goku was no match for Beerus, but he left a lasting impression.
5-11-1
Goku vs. Frieza
Goku had the upper hand against Frieza and then Sorbet struck him down with a laser. Goku wins due to interference.
6-11-1
Goku vs. Uub
No one's feet hit the floor and Goku flew off with Uub on his back, or on Nimbus if referring to the Kanzenban ending. This one could safely be considered a draw.
6-11-2
W: 35.29%
L: 64.70%
Feel free to share your thoughts.
Please do Vegeta or super Goku
9:00 this is probably why goku has a nearly equal amount of L's and W's in Z, because the way he was Winning in OG Dragon Ball was kinda ridiculous and would probably bore the audience/readers if he won all the time in Z
fun fact. Vageta was ment to lose and die in the beam struggle in their first fight, but he had a massive fan base big enough that toriyama decided to take the storyline we have now.
Goku is such a great character! Truly a legend
You should do the other series
Kid Goku most of the time just straight up kills his enemies and get things done, thats why he has high win ratio. On the other hand Adult Goku wants to be a martial artist master. He wants to fully master his abilities and learn more. To do this, he intentionally let enemies do their tricks so that he could learn from them. But testing your enemy's best move could easily backfired, thats why Adult Goku doesn't have as high win ratio as his kid self.
Do Vegeta next!
id love a video like this for super ngl
Do it again please.
they brought gowasu into super just to remind everyone of the W
Goku clearly lost against his brother
Yeah. And he counted it.
I'm guessing Goku will be 88% win rate through the entire series!
Goku never beats vegeta and yes we count their rematch as a vegeta win goku shouldn’t have let his guard down, that’s the Biggest lesson all his sense’s try to teach him and it’s the key to unlocking Ui the technique he’s been trained to use since og ball
Why he didn't need to let his guard down, if the fight was stopped and meanwhile Buu demolished Shin?
@@ОлександрШишкін-м5р according to who?,if this was anyone else he’d be dead. That’s his biggest weakness and is the same reason he’s put in near fatal positions at certain points of the story
@@zayzillions7319 bc there's no reason to watch on Vegeta, since he didn't know, that he will knock out him
@@ОлександрШишкін-м5р not the point (he shouldn’t have let his guard down) the fact that your advocating for him means you don’t want him to change
@@zayzillions7319 why he shouldn't get his guard down against Vegeta? Just bc? And I wanted to stop being that dumb to doing same mistakes (I'm talking not only about "getting his guard down").
Quite frankly luffy from 1 piece can’t be counted as a part of Big 3
Instead Saitama should be given that honor
Why skip OG Dragon Ball? Thats a part of the “DBZ” manga.
Watch the whole video
You also forgot to count the w on the otherworld when he participated on the grand Kai tournament.
Goku knows how to take make a more fun fight
Wait, we're not counting Goku fighting Uub ? Like, it IS part of Dragon Ball Z and not GT if i'm not wrong, but feel free to correct me if it's not the case.
It’s part of Z. And you could count it as a win, but again it ultimately barely makes a difference…
@@lonkstakes Wouldn't the W there make his Z-alone rating climb to 60%?.
Ah yes the good old "Dragon Ball Z" manga. The original work that Akira Toriyama wrote and was never originally published with that name :)
A video about Vegito's winrate would be %0 since he doesn't actually win any of them.
5:20 - Brother, it's good "conscience" not good consciousness.
Not only that but kid Goku literally comes back and defeats the enemies that beat him beforehand, not even after that long of a time span!
Goku in DBZ won against Snake way Queen, Nappa, Recome, Burter, Jace, Frieza, Trunks, Yakkon, Majin Buu, Kid Buu, Uub (12 wins) ... Goku in DBZ lost to Rattiz twice, Vegeta, Captain Ginju, Android 19, Perfect Cell, Cell Jr, Majin Vegeta (8 loses) ... Total of 20 fights resault W12: L8.
in goku vs majin vegeta I think it was pretty fair considering goku had the advantage of a dead body and vegeta with his babidi power up
Angel body is objectively a worse boost than Majin
We shouldve counted dragonball as well
Imagine making a Goku win rate without including OG Dragon Ball
Kid Goku literally destroyed an entire army, several demons and send a rabbit to the moon.
Goku's win percentage in Dragon Ball OG should be 70-80%
Not only does kid Goku win a lot, but he kills a lot too.
Who does adult Goku kill? Yakon and Pure Boo. Am I missing anyone?
There’s a website I seen that had win/loss records for all the dbz characters cant remember what the websites called tho
I’m convinced now that Kid Goku could beat up DB Super Goku😂😂😂
Do Vegeta now
Nah man the moment you said goku vs vegeta 2 doesn’t go on the scoreboard I decided that this isn’t accurate, goku COULD have gone 3 but he didn’t on purpose, goku essentially threw the fight, and wound up face first in the dirt, that’s a GOKU L
It isn't about whether or not he could've gone 3, but more so the fact that the fight was basically over. Goku and vegeta stopped fighting. Hard to call it a win when you knock put your opponent AFTER ending the fight.
