CD is the only one who gets a new contract .. He's the only one dominating his position as "best in league". You've got a 3 man figurehead/crew who isn't producing Championships ... If they don't produce championships at their current pay - they aren't with a more expensive salary base. You're going to die under the weight of 3 bad contracts and scrubby players around them because you can't afford good ones. Cee Dee was best in league last year=dominant = pay him. Micah was 8th in sacks in the NFL, not so great on the run, Not a heavy hitter during the last 5 games or in the playoffs= trade. Dak is not dominating, 9 years at the job .. Let contract expire and adios in Free Agency Kirk Cousins/style at the end of 2024. Re-tooling at QB and D/E is on the way.

Eagles front office crushes Dallas .. Always seem to have money to pay players, and money to get free agents. Don't seem stuck in bad contracts w players who aren't producing. I am a Dallas fan .. I am not a Jones/fan. I can see other teams crushing it in the front office and I shake my head.

The other teams treat the salary cap as make believe. They will always kick cans down the road. Dallas takes it the same as their personal finances.

I've been saying the same thing for years!!
Cowboys need a General Manager and Team President who knows how to manage the salary 🧢 cap and build a 🏆 championship team.....
As long as Jerry and Steven Jones are running things, Cowboys will never return to the Super Bowl....
Our only hope is some how our coaches and players can overcome this Bad management problem, this is what happens when U dont have A real GM or football operations man, i think with the addition of zimmer running the defense that they can actually do it, i just wish we had a Bell 🔔 cow 🐄 back , like Derrick or hopefully Harris from Pittsburgh, which im hearing is another smoke job again
This is just my conjecture but here are my reasons this is cap:
1. They will never admit that they screwed up paying zeke top dollar early but not Dak. Everyone in the 3 and 4 letter networks are blaming Dak when the Jones' had ample amount of time to extend dak both times.
2. (This one is controversial) The Jones' secretly want Dak to fail. When you pay attention to how Romo was treated as suppose to Dak, you'll start to see that Jerry had no problem paying Romo top dollar at the time. We can all debate who's the better qb, but Dak has had more winning seasons than Romo.
3. (Also controversial) Jerry is setting things up so that he doesn't have to resign Dak but not go into reboot mode (hence the picks to rebuild both lines). Like you LAW, I don't agree with letting Dak go because next year draft isn't good for QBs (Maybe Sanders and Ewers from TX but that's about it). I suspect that Jerry is in some low key way trying to sabotage Dak. I hope I'm wrong, but havng Henry in the backfield would've lessen the pressure on dak
He's not trying to sabotage Dak. They're just leery of giving him 60 something million a year. Every time a quarterback contract comes up it's just going to get higher and higher. Dak is at the level where he's going to demand to be like a top three paid quarterback. That's just the market and the position. He's not worth that now. Franchising him those two years instead sign in him to a contract like Wentz got was utterly disastrous. They could have had him for low 30 million a year but Jerry was fighting him over the length of the contract. That would have given us more cap space to load up with players around him. They fucked the whole thing up from the beginning.
They also should have gone back to Romo when he came back from injury. With that line and running game, as long as Romo could throw, they would have had a better chance to win. After that they should have let them compete in training camp for the starting job if Romo came back.
A 10 biliion dollar franchise dont have money.
Even if dak gives the cowboys a deal and they have 20 m. Cap boy would not spend money on the players

Even if that’s the case then whoever is the in charge of handling the cap should be fired bcuz u should always have room in the cap to make your team better especially when your team is worth more than any team in the NFL
