I saw the four races between 03-05. My dad took me several years in a row for both races in the season. I remember the race in 04 when he was damaged by a pothole. He was able to pit four times for repairs without losing a lap because of lucky cautions. He fought all the way back to finish 6th. I'm so glad I got to watch some of his dominance when I was young.

He should have at least 3 more victories at this track.
-Jimmy Johnson held him back one year
-David Rutimann stopped for no reason and Boyer caused Newman to spin the 24
    - I forgot the other one lol, I think Jr held him up one year

don't forget that time the track came up, and damaged the car. I don't know if he would of won, but I remember he had a good car that day.

Tbh been a huge gordon fan for so many years seeing his last win still gives me the chills and shivers. Honestly he could of had at least more than 9 wins at Martinsville had some issues not happened like in 04 spring race when the track came up had that not happened he might of won. And then in 2012 spring he could of won that too had the caution not of came out and stupid Clint deciding to take him out that would of been 11 right there. I think he could of had between 10 and 15 wins at Martinsville easily.

I agree. He really got ripped off in 2012. That's where I lost all respect for David Reutimann. It was his stopping on the track that led to the caution that led to the restart where Jeff got punted.

I know right!!!! He clearly should of pulled into the pits because he was right there. Honestly it would of been Jeff and Jimmie. One of them would of won the race and I think it would of been Gordon because Jimmie was on the high side so Jeff would of been able to get past him. I also remember Jeff could of won the 07 Spring race too. If he had an extra lap he could of won the race because he was on Jimmie door coming to the line.

Oh dude I was there, it was my birthday Jeff was about to finally win a race with me there and wouldn't ya know Clint dumped him. Happened again 2 years later at Richmond with Joey Logano. I was fuming. The 2015 win in the dark made everything so much better. I cried and hugged the random dude next to me. It was so surreal.

twistedrules1 Don’t forget spring 2010 when there was a caution when he was about 100 feet from the white flag

It's only fitting that his last win would be at martinsville where he has been so dominant that was very awesome to see I miss him on the racetrack 24 4 ever

I miss NASCAR. Not like it was in the past. It's been a few years since I even watched a race let alone go to one. I couldn't care less anymore.

Man i miss that guy. A clean racer on the track and fun personality off the track. The only driver who comes close to him nowdays is Kyle Busch. Jimmie Johnson is way too scripted off the track. None of his interviews ever seem genuine. And Joey Logano giggles like a woman. Kyle Busch will be the closest thing to Jeff in talent and personality.

David Stewart LMAO no Kyle Busch is like a giant toddler in personality wise. He is a talented driver no doubt but he has a shitty personality especially when he loses.

Talent? 😂 he’s not even on top contention with top drivers. When talent drivers retired. He finally be too contention.... with not too many talent drivers 🙄
Quit bragging about Kyle. We all knows. Does he even won championship with those drivers who retired? He doesn’t even compete the season with broken leg. And what more. Took him years till 2019 to “finally” win championship. Ha talent 😂
