"WHOOOOO! WE'RE GOING TO HOMESTEEEEEEEEAAAAD!!!" As a fan, I've always loved the last win from Jeff Gordon. It gave me goosebumps after those amazing couple laps and it still kind of does.
What many don’t know is that I was in victory lane for Jeff Gordon’s 2011 Atlanta win. Look for the small kid with a big cameo jacket and hat during his interview. I was in the pits as he won and over the weekend my dad I became friends with a few of the crew guys. They told us to come with them. I remember running through the infield with the crew as the crowd was cheering during Gordon’s victory lap. I still have all my victory lane hats to this day. I’ll never forget it
Watching this put a smile on my face. Gordon was and will always be my favorite NASCAR Driver. Glad I got to see him race live so many times and happy I had to pleasure of meeting him at the tracks.
17:36 I was at the 2015 Martinsville race, and the whole track was roaring when Jeff Gordon crossed the line first, and it’s still my favorite race that I’ve been to.
I can think of a couple honorable mentions: 2007 UAW Ford 500 - His last restrictor plate win 2005 Aaron's 499 - the most dominant superspeedway car I have ever seen in the modern era (and probably the most dominant Talladega car he ever had), with a kickass paint scheme on top of it And probably a couple others but I'm forgetting them right now
I was at the 2007 race that was fucking awesome that he won not even leading a hole lap . And I will agree with on the 2005 race I have never seen a car and driver so dominant at talladega and I have been watching Nascar for almost 30 years he didn't need any one to help him pass some one that day his car was so bad ass that day .
Yes! The Pepsi Yoda car was unbelievable! He didn’t even need drafting help to retake the lead. Best plate car I’ve ever seen. His car in the 2004 Pepsi 400 was also dominate!
Any of the six road course wins during The Streak. Six RC wins in a row, and nine total in his career, as of this writing the most of any modern era driver. And he did it while only two were on the calendar in a season.
@@tylermiller4466 You can’t really do that though because after his first championship or two Johnson would use the regular season to test and wasn’t running their best stuff.
What are you’re favorite Jeff Gordon moments? SIDENOTE: This is a list of points races only EDIT: My bad on the editing problems. Been having problems with the editing app I use. It’ll crash and then stuff I edited a day before will be undone.
For me it was his final win at Martinsville as that was the only time I ever watched him win and it was so emotional because you knew it was final his win.
His 2011 Atlanta win came on my birthday. I’ve always viewed it as a birthday present from jeff even though I know he has no clue who I am😂 but it was a special bday and it’s still my favorite. Martinsville 2015 was obviously another special memory too
He didn’t win but one of my favorite moments was my first nascar race I saw in person. My dad and mom had bought us tickets and we made the long trip to Dover and I still remember me and my dad yelling for kesolowoski to run out of gas but it wasn’t meant to be and Jeff brought home second
An underrated personal favorite win of Jeff's was Homestead 2012 because I honestly thought he wouldn't be running that race following that ordeal in Avondale, AZ.
This was awesome! RIP Brickyard 400..... for now. I remember how unpopular a lot of these wins were at the time, it's funny to look back them now as some of his greatest.
My favorite win will always be the inaugural night race at Kansas in 2014. Seeing him win in person was nothing short of AWESOME! That was a bucket list check mark for me. If it weren't for the f@cking playoffs, Jeff would have at least 7 championship trophies. With 93 career wins....its hard to deny it.
Jeff Gordon is one of the greatest to ever do it, but Brain France ruined several championship seasons for Gordon just like he ruined NASCAR as a whole.
I’m right there with ya. My favorite was the 2002 Southern 500 when I was at the start finish line 20 rows up as he crossed it on the last lap P1!!!!!! I admit,I was 29 & I did cry. That was one of the best feelings getting to see him win. I’ve been to 9 races & none of em compare to that one……….24ever!!!!
Dennydelivers I will say though it’s not like he was ever a back marker driver he had a better avg finishing position than jj 48 and that’s even after running over 100 more races than jimmy.
Jeff Gordon is favorite driver of all time. I went to my first nascar race when I was 8. It was the 2007 Pocono 500 and Jeff Gordon won that race. I remember I was so happy that day because it was my first ever nascar race and my favorite driver won
I was at that race, and as a MASSIVE gordon fan as a kid, i was in literal heaven when he passed my dads favourite driver in jimmy johnson to take the win!
My honorable Top 10: 2009 Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway (snapped a 47-race winless drought and finally winning at TMS), 2000 DieHard 500 at Talladega Superspeedway (50th Cup win), 2012 Ford EcoBoost 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway (wins one week after the Bowyer fight, and finally winning there), 1998 Pepsi 400 at Daytona International Speedway (first night race at Daytona), 2004 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (joined the elite list of 4-time winners at Indy), 1997 Daytona 500 at Daytona International Speedway (first 500 win, 1-2-3 for Hendrick), 1996 Tyson Holly Farms 400 at North Wilkesboro Speedway (last race at the track), 1997 Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway (Won the $1 million joining Elliott), 2011 Subway Fresh Fit 500K at Phoenix Raceway (beat Kyle Busch, and snapped a 66-race drought which was the longest of his career), and the 1998 NAPA 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway (capping off a 13-win season tying Richard Petty in the modern era).
forever my favorite driver of all time. my favorite memory had to be the 2007 season (minus Pocono, we don't talk about that, lol); just seeing him dominate that season and key wins at Talladega, Darlington, and Phoenix was awesome to see on TV. and that 2004 Aaron's 499 race made me not only a Jeff Gordon fan, but a NASCAR fan.
I will never forget the 2007 UAW 500 at Talladega. Listening to the announcers stutter and panic as they missed the pass for the lead on the last lap. Goosebumps.
When I started this video, I decided to pause it and come up with my own list just to see how it would compare to yours. They were very similar, but the 1997 Southern 500 was one that I thought would definitely be on the list due to the historical significance of winning the Winston Million while also being the first driver to win the Southern 500 three consecutive years, and his fierce battle at the end with Jeff Burton.
A lot of these wins gives me chills especially since I'm a huge Jeff Gordan fan since I was a little kid. Actually went to Talladega in 2005 the race that he won which was AMAZING, but seeing the races that he won always put me in a good mood the remainder of the day no matter what happened. I remember when he tied Dale Sr, as a kid almost 10 at the time I was extremely happy I didn't exactly know how special that win was cause at the time I didn't know Dale Sr wasn't around anymore but my parents saw it as a special and emotional win since they we're both Dale Sr fans. Seeing that now does bring emotions out cause of the rival he had with Dale Sr sends me chills every time and imo that's the best tribute. That #1 win though was to special cause of how the year was going for Jeff and the luck they had and with it being his last season, I knew going into the round of 8 that this was probably his 1 and only shot to make the final 4 cause it's his best track. When he won I actually was cheering so loud in my dorm especially from the heart breaking lost he just suffered the year prior and now he had redemption for that 5th title. I always tell people that had it not of rained at Homestead Jeff more than likely would of won his 5th title cause his car was so good in the sun especially when the sun was setting that the championship more than likely would of been his.
If the points format never changed he would actually be a 7x champion tied with Dale Sr and Richard Petty and Jimmie Johnson would only be a 2x champion
You really nailed the top 10. I watched all those live too minus the two 94 races. Honorable mentions to me: 2005 Star Wars Talladega, 2007 CoT debut at Talladega, Wild 1999 Sonoma race, 2005 Overheating at Darlington, 2004 Billion Dollar Pepsi 400.
2007 Dodge Avenger 500 at Darlington. Battled an overheating engine, in fear of blowing it up during a pit stop, Letarte opted to stay out on old tires while everybody else DOVE down pitroad. Restart happened and as Mike Joy said coming to the checkers "Stanley Steamer running just fine, gonna make it to the finish line" as its STILL pushing water out
Definitely agree with the top 2..... but I’d probably put his 2011 win at Phoenix in there too because he was on a 66 race winless streak and beat Kyle Busch to get his 83rd win. It was special to me. Great list!
Never got to see him win in person, still really mad about Kansas 2014. Had a solid shot to go but couldn’t make it. Either way, Gordon will always be my favorite no matter what. Great vid Jaret!
I think my favorites are the Talladega Fall 2007, Martinsville 2015, Homestead 2012, Atlanta 2011, Brickyard 2014, & Phoenix 2007. He’s definitely got wins that meant more but I didn’t start watching until 2007.
I have to say that his 2005 October Martinsville win was a very emotional one and the most underrated victory to say the very least knowing what took place the year prior and their was no celebration dispite Jimmie winning the 04 event. Thanks to my aunt Roseann who works as Burton Smith's accountant at Charlotte Motor Speedway got me the ultimate hookup during the 2002 season between the Pennsylvania 500 and Indy for when I was able to meet a lot of the people who unfortunately passed away on that plane crash in October 2004 like John Hendrick, Randy Dorton,Joe Jackson just to name a few at the Charlotte track while I was visiting my family in the Fayetteville area, which was a dream come true for me and my mom. It's a memory that I'll never ever forget. I usually get emotional anytime Jeff Gordon wins a race but like I said his 2005 Martinsville chase win was the one that really got me choked up the most knowing that I met majority of the people back in the summer of 2002, that were on the plane and didn't make it back home. My only wish was to not only be at that Martinsville race in 05 but to have hugged Rick and Linda in victory lane and tell them how sorry I was for their loss and that I was a major fan of the organization that got me hooked on nascar to begin with back in 93 when I was 2 years old. We'll now that Rick and Jeff are co owners of HMS maybe I'll get my wish to go meet them at some point in the future.
My favorite was the 2007 UAW Ford 500 at Talladega. My favorite paint scheme, favorite track, and my favorite driver in rare form. Jeff Gordon's win were normally from the front pack, in that race he was wallowing in the mid/back-field all race, and when it mattered most he shot towards the front! It was a masterclass. I remember yellin' my little head off.
great video, sir. I loved watching this video. Very nostalgic try down memory lane. My all time favorite Gordon win is impossible to pick, so I just gotta go with the 1998 season as a whole. That summer, I was just about to enter 1st grade, and I can just remember being so obsessed with nascar. Thanks again for the video. Cheers
You nailed every bit of this! I still hate your outro song choice but your videos are amazing. I’m a huge Gordon fan since I was a small child so reliving these moments are great. Ive watched this and multiple videos of yours multiple times! You, BFM, Slap, Eric with out of the groove, make me want to make videos like this. To see guys often just younger than me keeping this sport in the forefront is nothing short of encouraging! Keep it up mayng
I'm not gonna lie as a long time Jeff Gordon fan seeing his win at Martinsville in 2015 was just amazing even if he didn't win the championship I'm so glad his final season wasn't just him fading away and waving goodbye. He went out like only Jeff Gordon could. Then to become a chase Elliot fan and 5 years later see him do what Jeff missed. Win at Martinsville then win the championship the next race. On Jimmie Johnsons last race none the less... It was the true passing of a torch at Hendrick.
7:57 - Nah, the fans that day didn't necessarily want a green-flag finish, they just wanted Jr. to win. If that ruling was the opposite way around with Jr. scored ahead of Gordon, nobody at the track would've complained, I bet.
My 2 favorite Gordon victories were Martinsville in 2015 and Phoenix when he tied the Intimidator... That one gave me chills the night I watched it....I was a Gordon fan from the beginning until the end of his career.... and still am....I don't watch much Nascar anymore for various reasons....
1.) 1994 Brickyard 400 - Indy’s 1st race and Jeff’s 2nd win in cup. Birth of a star type of moment. 2.) 1995 Southern 500 - Spin and Win and held off Earnhardt and Wallace 3.) 1996 Last Cup race at Wilkesboro 4.) 1997 Southern 500 - Jeff earned that million. Iconic moment. 5.) 1998 Coke 600 - A very unique victory and circumstances coming off the All-Star race the week b4 6.) 1998 Southern 500 - 4 wins at Darlington in Southern 500 plus a million dollars. 7.) 1999 Daytona 500 - The pass for the lead late was crazy. 8.) 2005 Advance Auto Parts 500 - epic comeback 9.) 2011 Subway 500 - We just beat Kyle Busch. People forget Jeff got wrecked too. 10.) 2011 Advocare 500 - That race was special. - I have two more I could add, but those 10 were quintessential Gordon moments.
Unfortunately I was a kid who didn't pay attention to most of Jeff's early career success, so most of the wins I would put in the top 10 are after 2001 when I was actually paying attention. My favorite win was the year he came back from 3 laps down at Martinsville. Just shows you how he had that place figured out. The year he won at Darlington blowing steam out of the radiator for like the final 50 laps. A personal favorite of mine was his won st Dover in 2014, because I was lucky enough to have had hot passes for the race that day and spent it making friends with his pit crew, as I was parked behind his pit stall the entire race. The Michigan win that year was pretty stellar too. He kept muscling his way past Logano, and pulled the same magic he did at Indy on the final restart.
Jeff Gordon is the best of the modern era! Sorry but his “4” championships hold more merit than Jimmie’s “7”. But Jeff would have 7 were it not for that abomination we call the playoffs.
All those wins was great, but to me, my personal favorite Jeff Gordon win was at the 2007 Aaron's 499, the reason is the day before the race....I said my last goodbye to my father, who passed away a couple days after Jeff tied Dale Sr. in wins, that win in Talladega helped me like you couldn't even believe, it was something I needed, it helped me cheer up, Jeff was and will forever be my hero
Honorable mentions, Bristol 1997-the first bump and run. The Darlington race when the thing was pushing water out from overheating the last what seemed like 20 laps. Martinsville 2005 coming back from 3 laps down! The backup car at The Winston I believe 2001 or maybe T-Rex in 96? The Winston Million beating and banging with Jeff Burton. The entire 98 season in dominant fashion. Setting the record for consecutive road course victories.
My personal favourite is the 2005 spring martinsville race where he came back from 3 laps down and destroyed the competition. I had that race taped and I can’t tell you how many times I watched it.
Nothing can touch the ‘94 Brickyard for me. I had been to IMS before and several times after, and I still have never heard it so loud as it was when Gordon crossed the line.
watched good ol gordon since the Bush series, knew he was gonna to make a name for himself, 4 championships(a few missing “rings”) 100 total career wins, a hall of famer, and a driver who is tied with Dale Sr as the GOAT. Cried when homestead came around
Great list and definitely 10 big wins. I might of snuck in the All Star race even though it wasn't a real race. I was in Charlotte when he brought a back up car out and went from last to first and the year he won with The Jurassic Park car. Great memories. Very nice job. Thanks for sharing.
This is a great video. The 99' 500...Earnhardt showed his real racing acumen. Gordon, Johnson and Junior Johnson, geniuses. Gordon dominated and drove well but I think that if, and that's an if, Sr and Gordon and Johnson were put on a small asphalt track, Sr would win (and then when you didn't know it, Harvick would destroy them). I hope Johnson wins an IndyCar race and I hope Harvick wins about 20 more. I know Gordon retired because of his back but I wished he were still racing or would do one a year. You should have shown the battle with Irvan. And Gordon and Earnhardt were great friends because Sr knew he could drive the wheels off of a car and he did. What a man to honor Sr. I was there and it was great.
I got into NASCAR at age 3 back in the 90’s. I’ve been a Jeff Gordon fan all my life. I firmly believe Jeff will always be the GOAT of our sport. I’ll argue that point anyday. My favorite Jeff Gordon will always be that ‘07 Phoenix win. Tying Dale and flying that #3 flag around the track will always be the most class act, and the most special moment of his Hall of Fame career. As much as I loved Atlanta in 2011 or Martinsville in ‘15; that ‘07 race is something else entirely. The torch may have been passed in the 90s, but that was the moment Jeff finally lived up to Dale’s memory.
When it comes to the best racing that Atlanta win was amazing.. but I can't argue with your #1 I was losing my mind as a young man watching Gordon win at martinsville what an awesome way to get a final win
That last one will always be special, after how good 24 was in 2014 I wasn't ready for the fall Dover race to be his last win. As 2015 went on, it looked like he wasn't going to win again. Huge shout out to Matt Kenseth for that one.
Started watching in 1999, I'm only counting wins i saw as a fan in my top ten, because those resonate with me the most obviously lol. 10. 1999 Daytona 500 The first race i saw Jeff win, how could it not make the top 10? 9. 2011 Advocare 500, in Jimmie's prime, he was hard to beat. And while 2011 was a different pace for JJ, Gordon showed he still wanted to win. And how could you deny that finish was amazing with them sliding around? 8. 2002 Mountain Dew Southern 500 He was having a horrible amount of bad luck finishing towards the front after his 4th ring, but after a win in the night race at Bristol the previous week, and dominating the second half of this race, and seeing him score a crown jewel event after a rough start to 2002, it left a lasting imprint in my brain. 7. 2005 Aaron's 499 Growing up a Star Wars fan, and then becoming a NASCAR fan at 10, I got to see him pilot a Star Wars car to victory lane, in absolute dominant fashion. 6. 2004 Brick Yard 400 I believe this is the second most dominant Brick Yard 400 behind Kyle Busch's 2016, Jeff was on fire this day, charging quickly to the front from 11th ( I believe), and then leading 124 laps. Just wow. 5. 2002 Sharpie 500 The Bump and Run 4. 2004 Pepsi 400 DEI was stunned in this one, after almost three full years, Gordon got the upset win at Talladega earlier on. But he had a heck of a car this night (also got pole 3 of 4 in a row for this race) 3. 2015 Goody's Headache relief shot 500 The final win for Super G 2. 2005 Daytona 500 The Crown jewel of all Crown Jewels, the first was memorable for me, but this one felt impossible, but he managed to get it done, besting Tony, Dale Jr and Mikey 1. 2014 Brick Yard 400 This one is my favorite of all, because I remember how special this one hit home. Growing up in Indiana, its always special when you see Jeff win here, but this was the first one after Papaw had passed, and he would be the first one I'd call up after a win, "how about that papaw?" And the wins started getting fewer and fewer in between. These were the days... But I've been pulling for Chase ever since Gordon retired. And i must say, I love me some Chase
1997 Southern 500. Jeff had an absolutely dog of a race car that day. The team threw the kitchen sink at it in adjustments to get it right, and they were able to get it to a point where it was manageable. He took the dog and beat Jeff Burton and Dale Jarrett in much faster cars- and most notably took on Burton in that awesome final lap where they went street fighter on the front stretch, Gordon simply out-gutting him to the end. One of his absolutely best driving performances of his career.
I feel like an honorable mention would be the 2004 Daytona Pepsi 400. In a race that was delayed 2 hours due to weather, Gordon ran a Pepsi scheme car (given the sponsor of the race is Pepsi) and Coca-Cola decided to invade the Pepsi sponsored event by running 8 cars all under identical paint schemes to sponsor their new product, Coca-Cola C2. Despite their best efforts, Gordon and the #24 team would cruise to the win by leading 61 laps and passing the Coke sponsored car of Tony Stewart (who was my favorite driver) with 8 laps remaining. Gordon even poked fun about the Coke cars in his victory lane interview
Excellent work. I would have the 13th win of the 98 year. So, Atlanta. Tied R. Petty I would trade it out for one of the Talladega wins. The 2001 Las Vegas race was in February or March close. That is when he said.. "We're Back!!" And they won the 2001 Winston cup championship months later in November.
I am always drawn to the 98 southern 500. It was the feather in his cap with Martin blowing up and also a million dollars bonus. I really miss Winston.
I will always hate myself for missing that Martinsville race. I had tickets. Jeff was always my favorite driver. First race I went to in 99 at Martinsville, Jeff won. Didn't see a race between 2002 and 2012 when I went back to Martinsville to see Jeff win there again. Had tickets to Martinsville in his final season but got sick and puked (for the first time in about 15 years and haven't since then) and ended up not going. Forever a regret.
I also like the 2001 All-Star race at Charlotte when it rained at first and Gordon wrecked but was allowed to get out his backup car and he still won the event!
As a Jeff Gordon fan since 2002, here's my Top Ten: #1. 1994 Brickyard 400- Inaugural event, 350,000 fans in attendance, Gordon himself claims this to be his greatest victory #2. 1997 Daytona 500- First career 500 win. Teammates Terry Labonte and Ricky Craven finished second and third respectively. Gordon was the youngest 500 champion at the time. #3. 1997 Southern 500- Became the second man to win the Winston Million Bonus (Bill Elliott was the first in 1985). Held off a hard charging Jeff Burton to win. #4. 1994 Coca Cola 600- First career win. Won from the pole position, a late pit gamble with fuel only got the 24 Chevrolet out ahead of Rusty Wallace. #5. 1998 Southern 500- Fourth straight Southern 500 victory, beat Jeff Burton for a second straight Southern 500 (this time by 3.6 seconds). #6. 2005 Daytona 500- Won his third and final Daytona 500. Gordon literally beat everyone who was anyone in NASCAR during that era...Dale Jr, Tony Stewart, Jimmie Johnson, Kurt Busch, Mark Martin, and others. #7. 1999 Daytona 500- A classic late race duel between he and "The Intimidator." Gordon also won the No Bull bonus that day. Total winnings: $2,172,246. #8. 2000 Save Mart/Kragen 350- Jeff Gordon's sixth straight roadcourse victory. He beat runner-up Sterling Marlin by over 4 seconds. #9. 2011 Advocare 500- Beat Jimmie Johnson in a thriling late race duel. The race would be his 85th victory, placing Gordon third on NASCAR'S all-time win list. #10. 2015 Goody's Headache Relief Shot 500- Jeff Gordon's final career victory in his final full-time season. Placed Jeff among the final four at Homestead Speedway. Honorable mentions: *2005 Advanced Auto Parts 500 at Martinsville: Cut a tire down early and came back from three laps down to win. *2002 Sharpie 500 at Bristol: Gordon ended a 31 race winless streak at the expense of Rusty Wallace. Thrilling finish. The win would prove to be Gordon's only Night Bristol victory. *1998 NAPA 500 at Atlanta- 13th win of 1998. Tied a modern era number of victores in a season (R. Petty-1975).
@@handsomedevil4928 Elliott was fast that day, but was no match for the Hendrick cars at the end. They all ganged up on him. Bill Elliott said afterwards that he was a sitting duck. Gordon made a daring pass on the front stretch very late in the race to pass Bill. The rest was history.
My #3 on the list (I agree with your 1 and 2) is a catchall for all six road course wins JG pulled off *in a row* back when only two were on the calendar.
"WHOOOOO! WE'RE GOING TO HOMESTEEEEEEEEAAAAD!!!"
As a fan, I've always loved the last win from Jeff Gordon. It gave me goosebumps after those amazing couple laps and it still kind of does.
Gotta thank Kenseth for dumping Logano as well
I'm not gonna lie, I thought my phone was glitching when the 1994 Coke 600 clip was skipping. That scared me a little.
Yeah I was wondering what was going on
Same tho, especially since I dropped my phone a moment ago
I thought my phone was hacked
Wut is the time stamp that happened?
U not alone I thought mine was too.
Jeff Gordon was kickass!

Gotta agree with the 2015 Martinsville win. I was really hoping he'd get that 5th Championship.
People have added everything up and if the points format never changed, he would be a 7x champion and Jimmie would be a 2x champion

I was at the 2015 Martinsville race, and the whole track was roaring when Jeff Gordon crossed the line first, and it’s still my favorite race that I’ve been to.
I was there too. My first and only race I ever went too. The fans were cheering when Logano got wrecked 🤣
The Rusty Wallace interview after that Bristol race was pure gold lol
I remember watching live thinking... I can’t wait to see what rusty has to say about that haha

My favorite part of that race was:
Allen: Can Rusty get him back?
Wally: Jeff better hope not!
Puts a grin on my face every time lol
Rusty always cried when he lost to Gordon 😂
I can think of a couple honorable mentions:
2007 UAW Ford 500 - His last restrictor plate win
2005 Aaron's 499 - the most dominant superspeedway car I have ever seen in the modern era (and probably the most dominant Talladega car he ever had), with a kickass paint scheme on top of it
And probably a couple others but I'm forgetting them right now
I was at the 2007 race that was fucking awesome that he won not even leading a hole lap . And I will agree with on the 2005 race I have never seen a car and driver so dominant at talladega and I have been watching Nascar for almost 30 years he didn't need any one to help him pass some one that day his car was so bad ass that day .
2007 UAW Ford 500 was also the first COT restrictor-plate race.

2007 UAW Ford 500 is definitely his most underrated win!
2005 spring Martinsville.. Gordon came back from 3 laps down the hard way.. by far one of his most impressive wins
This is the one that I always think of. I turned off the TV for a while on that one. Never counted him out of a race again after that
@@tylermiller4466 You can’t really do that though because after his first championship or two Johnson would use the regular season to test and wasn’t running their best stuff.

I would of had put his ‘98 Atlanta win
#8- 2014 Brickyard 400
I was there!
I was sitting in Turn 1 and he did a burnout right in front of us (of all places too)
Jeff Gordon: A Man of Culture on Wheels
"It was a joke, I'm gonna come back next year"
Well, Junior certainly helped with that
An underrated personal favorite win of Jeff's was Homestead 2012 because I honestly thought he wouldn't be running that race following that ordeal in Avondale, AZ.
I was glad to see him check that track of the list if it wasn't for Kentucky being added to the schedule he would have won on every track.
Young Jeff Gordon: *Win here, win there, win everywhere*
Old Jeff Gordon: *Spare wins?... spare wins ma’am?... oh looky here, I got a few!*
Time catches every man.
@@aaronb4936 sometimes it gets some harder than others
Dennydelivers I will say though it’s not like he was ever a back marker driver he had a better avg finishing position than jj 48 and that’s even after running over 100 more races than jimmy.
@@aaronb4936 he was still really competitive more often than not he just had some really shit luck from '08 on
@@aaronb4936 Yeah I agree... Jeff Gordon during his final years was still a lot better than some others...
I looked up at 1:48 and I thought my phone had grown a mind of its own

I actually was in the stands for his final win. It was an amazing moment.
2015 Martinsville has entered the chat. As a Gordon fan I was pumped up for that win. The greatest win of his career.
Heres an idea if it hasn’t been done: 7 potential Gordon wins that could have gotten him to 100
2014 has a few that’s for sure
Yeah he could have had more than that if not for GWC finishes due to phantom cautions over the last 10 years of his career.
Robby Gordon punted him at one race in late 2001.
Just wrecked him for the win.
19:43 Jeff: "It was a joke I'm coming back next year, I'm just messing."
Next year: "And there's Gordon in the 88..."
Jeff Gordon is favorite driver of all time. I went to my first nascar race when I was 8. It was the 2007 Pocono 500 and Jeff Gordon won that race. I remember I was so happy that day because it was my first ever nascar race and my favorite driver won
Also would add 2007 Fall Dega. What a finish to that one
Led one lap all race...the one that mattered.
I always appreciate your Jeff Gordon videos, I miss him racing so much..
forever my favorite driver of all time. my favorite memory had to be the 2007 season (minus Pocono, we don't talk about that, lol); just seeing him dominate that season and key wins at Talladega, Darlington, and Phoenix was awesome to see on TV.
and that 2004 Aaron's 499 race made me not only a Jeff Gordon fan, but a NASCAR fan.
As a Jeff Gordon fan I’m so glad you made this video
My favorite win will always be his 2007 Ford 500 win, amazing paint scheme and amazing last-lap pass.
The 1999 500 was unironically one of the best 500’s in history
Watch that entire race. Very very entertaining
Yeah. So action packed and underrated
Jeff can see the future. In his marrtinssville win he said it was a joke im coming back next year. And he did for dale jr
I really dig the 2011 Atlanta race. Loose cars, high speed and facing off against his student, Jimmie.
I liked the Martinsville race when Gordon's car was steaming...They were calling it the Stanley Steamer...
19:44 Well. He wasn't lying.
2007 Dodge Avenger 500 at Darlington. Battled an overheating engine, in fear of blowing it up during a pit stop, Letarte opted to stay out on old tires while everybody else DOVE down pitroad. Restart happened and as Mike Joy said coming to the checkers "Stanley Steamer running just fine, gonna make it to the finish line" as its STILL pushing water out
My first race was Sonoma 04. I watched Jeff dominate the whole race. It was so awesome watching my favorite driver win in person
That was Jeff's most dominating Sonoma performances, if not one of his most dominating performances at any race ever.
I remember he won the first Kansas race in 2014, I forgot what happened in the 2nd Kansas race that year
I think my favorites are the Talladega Fall 2007, Martinsville 2015, Homestead 2012, Atlanta 2011, Brickyard 2014, & Phoenix 2007.
I was at Indy in 2014 it was awesome watching Gordon winning in person. He is and was my favorite driver.
Cheers
Most of these I remember exactly where I was and how excited I was when he won. Martinsville 2015 was the first time I had ever been so happy I cried
His win at Texas in 2009 was special!
Love it!!! Great list! An honorable mention is 2001 win at the inaugural Kansas that was a prelude to his final championship
#7 was the first race I ever watched and here we are 16 years later
His last win was definitely his best IMO. I wasn't a Jeff Gordon fan, but I cheered just like a Gordon fan when he won that race.
My favorite Gordon win is probably 2011 Atlanta because it really shows that you can't teach an old dog new tricks
Great video! Please do more of these for other drivers.
17:41, I never doubted that it was 2015 Martinsville. I've never seen such a rowdy celebration.
Just kidding, Im coming back next year!😂 he ended up coming back in 2016
When I heard that live for first time I cheated one more season! one more season! So he did kind of.
We are all still wondering how his retirement season was ranked #6 on your last video? Anywho, good upload
If he strictly ranked retirement seasons instead of final seasons, Gordon's 2015 season would be higher.
Dale earnhardt was far better 7 to 4 cry all you want
The Martinsville win where he came from laps down to win was a good one that ill always remember.
When it comes to the best racing that Atlanta win was amazing.. but I can't argue with your #1 I was losing my mind as a young man watching Gordon win at martinsville what an awesome way to get a final win
Jeff Gordon’s 2001 Vegas win was great
That last one will always be special, after how good 24 was in 2014 I wasn't ready for the fall Dover race to be his last win. As 2015 went on, it looked like he wasn't going to win again. Huge shout out to Matt Kenseth for that one.

Started watching in 1999, I'm only counting wins i saw as a fan in my top ten, because those resonate with me the most obviously lol.
10. 1999 Daytona 500
The first race i saw Jeff win, how could it not make the top 10?
9. 2011 Advocare 500, in Jimmie's prime, he was hard to beat. And while 2011 was a different pace for JJ, Gordon showed he still wanted to win. And how could you deny that finish was amazing with them sliding around?
8. 2002 Mountain Dew Southern 500
He was having a horrible amount of bad luck finishing towards the front after his 4th ring, but after a win in the night race at Bristol the previous week, and dominating the second half of this race, and seeing him score a crown jewel event after a rough start to 2002, it left a lasting imprint in my brain.
7. 2005 Aaron's 499
Growing up a Star Wars fan, and then becoming a NASCAR fan at 10, I got to see him pilot a Star Wars car to victory lane, in absolute dominant fashion.
6. 2004 Brick Yard 400
I believe this is the second most dominant Brick Yard 400 behind Kyle Busch's 2016, Jeff was on fire this day, charging quickly to the front from 11th ( I believe), and then leading 124 laps. Just wow.
5. 2002 Sharpie 500
The Bump and Run
4. 2004 Pepsi 400
DEI was stunned in this one, after almost three full years, Gordon got the upset win at Talladega earlier on. But he had a heck of a car this night (also got pole 3 of 4 in a row for this race)
3. 2015 Goody's Headache relief shot 500
The final win for Super G
2. 2005 Daytona 500
The Crown jewel of all Crown Jewels, the first was memorable for me, but this one felt impossible, but he managed to get it done, besting Tony, Dale Jr and Mikey
1. 2014 Brick Yard 400
This one is my favorite of all, because I remember how special this one hit home. Growing up in Indiana, its always special when you see Jeff win here, but this was the first one after Papaw had passed, and he would be the first one I'd call up after a win, "how about that papaw?"
And the wins started getting fewer and fewer in between.
Winning the All Star race with a backup car has to be up there.
Tied R. Petty
I would trade it out for one of the Talladega wins.
The 2001 Las Vegas race was in February or March close.
That is when he said..
"We're Back!!"
And they won the 2001 Winston cup championship months later in November.
I am always drawn to the 98 southern 500. It was the feather in his cap with Martin blowing up and also a million dollars bonus. I really miss Winston.
I don't really knew much about Jeff Gordon, but I can agree these wins are awesome, and his last one was the best
For selfish reasons Jeff’s 2014 Michigan win is my favorite because it’s the only win of his I got to witness
Ohh,
I remember listening to the 2002 Bristol win at home on the radio!
Night race.
Forgot about that !!
Great year. GTA Vice City came out.
Kenseth brought a whole new meaning to Dive Bomb at Martinsville in 2015
I also like the 2001 All-Star race at Charlotte when it rained at first and Gordon wrecked but was allowed to get out his backup car and he still won the event!
Ngl seeing that Martinsville win in 2015 and seeing how happy and excited Jeff was he got a chance to drive for 5 made me tear up.
I was there to see his last win at Martinsville in 2015..... what a great day. I was in turn 2
2012 Pocono was another good one. The top 4 take themselves out and then it rains
I really thought that win at martinsville after the plane crash was... Just amazing.
1:48 Lol
My bad on the editing problems. Been having problems with the editing app I use. It’ll crash and then stuff I edited a day before will be undone.
I don’t know why Rusty was so bent out of shape. That was just a classic bump and run for the win plus Jeff was clearly faster than him that night.
Cuz rusty was on a winless streak. I'd be pissed too
As a Jeff Gordon fan since 2002, here's my Top Ten:
#1. 1994 Brickyard 400- Inaugural event, 350,000 fans in attendance, Gordon himself claims this to be his greatest victory
#2. 1997 Daytona 500- First career 500 win.
Honorable mentions:
*2005 Advanced Auto Parts 500 at Martinsville: Cut a tire down early and came back from three laps down to win.
The rest was history.
thank you for this video
My #3 on the list (I agree with your 1 and 2) is a catchall for all six road course wins JG pulled off *in a row* back when only two were on the calendar.
