    True, and in all fairness I've never been on a train through here that's gone even that fast. 87MPH behind a King though - That's pretty special. :)

    Oh, sneaky drivers - maybe if Mallard was back on the main line they'd have her soaring at a hundred - it would be too strong a temptation. :P

    Officialy yes, but I've been on many an excursion when the loco "accidentally" goes too fast.
    Last time it was by 12 miles an hour, behind this very loco funnily enough.

    It can't do 80MPH, it's not allowed, 75MPH is as fast as the steamers are allowed to go.
