I definitely have seen a change over the last 10 years when it comes to SEO and how its ranked. I've rebranded myself regionally a few times over the years and I still have the old urls with a 301 redirect. Google has seemed to pick up on that and kept the rankings and the DA, at least from what I can tell. I also recommend updating outdated content every so often and keep it fresh. In my industry everyone's posting images of the couples they took images of and we do a different approach and answer those queries that people ask about wedding photography and videography. Seems to work well for us.

Do you provide such tour or it's just you are affiliating. If you are affiliating then it's not possible. If you provide such service, then you can use google adword and build authority.
@@deependradobriyal1450Instead of searching for increasing domain authority search for "how to bring more sales" bringing more sale will automatically build your authority and trust with people, and it will result in increasing your site authority.
Neil you are an inspiring mentor and a game changer! 🙂We love your videos.. Fully constructive and illuminating content. Thank you for creating value to all of us🙏
Sitemaps provide you crawlers with the ability to better understand your site structure; most plugins like Yoast or SEO Framework can take care of this for you easily.
Unpopular opinion but I'm at the end of my tether with Organic...I firmly believe Google rank sites based on ad spend...because after pushing a few sites I work with heavily, with content, getting the builds up to speed, following all the rules for almost a year in each case (and I've been doing this six year myself)...there are still sites which are dominating the first two pages...and there's no way in some cases they should be. Brand is important of course - and one site I work on has built a strong brand (brand terms are great) but of course the demand is for non-branded terms to perform now. The issue is they just don't carry enough volume and long tails are the same. Unless they carry thousands, not hundreds, how are we supposed to get decent traffic through? Especially when Google still rank some sites which are actually quite poor? in comparison, some are terrible and blatantly ignore basic Google "rules" and yet they are always ahead. Branding plays a part but many of them don't have "great content". Unfortunately, marketing gurus think that they can apply the same spiel to every site but the fact is, it's more difficult to write "great content" that people want to share in boring industries - plastics is one, although I've managed fairly well so far. People don't care to share stuff on dull industries and when you spend the time investing in content a lot of the time, it doesn't go anywhere. Also, reaching out - the myth that people will give you links for free...wrong. Many people I have cordial discussions with love the material I send them but low and behold, there's a price attached. And why wouldn't there be? If you can make money from utilising your site to others, you would too. It's frustrating because marketing gurus often give this advice which is recycled everywhere but the fact is marketing and digital marketing is one of the biggest industries, of course you can have loads of content, creatives and material to share because it's a huge sector. And it inherently encourages sharing and advice/tips/communications. Many industries just don't have that benefit but yet the "experts" say to do the same approach for success. Ultimately, some sites I work on are steady but struggle with actual traffic through organic non-brand but the ones that don't are the ones which also have a big presence and spend in Adwords. Convenient but I think we know what this actually indicates. Google give out and always have given out vague rules to follow but it's all mystified nonsense. It's tied to ad spend and generally a random generator. Rant over. Would love opinions - I'm not looking to cause offense, I'm just fed up with the same stuff recycled (and listening for over 10 years now to it) when it just doesn't work like that.
I can see why you might think that, however, I can tell you from experience that these tactics do work! I've been practicing SEO for over 10 years now and I gotten to know more about Google, what works and what doesn't. Although it is harder than ever to rank because of competition, it is totally possible, even without spending a cent on ads!
Neil Patel I can understand your not going to agree with me because that’s your business.. so let’s assume I’m doing it wrong.. a polycarbonate supplier.. pretty dull topic but I’ve written stuff based on the ever present issue on environmental impact on plastics etc. So it’s a hot topic. Pushed it out.. useful for readers.. but anyone that wanted it wanted paying.. to publish it.. not for free but for money. And that’s always the case.. they see an opportunity to get money to use their site for promotion. Fair enough. But you say it’s easy to roll out material based on popular topics and get great links.. I say no, because they won’t do it for free. So what am I doing wrong exactly? And as for paid.. sorry but I have a client that does significantly better than others organically and they have paid campaigns in place. Might be a coincidence but I’m not convinced. Genuinely, simple link building is a myth unless you are a big brand where sites will happily give you a ref link. Otherwise most of them want money.. so what’s going wrong?
What do you recommend for someone who is 30 and knows nothing about digital marketing and looking to jump start a career? Start small and scale big in a long run. Nowadays, resources is not a issue but find the effective one is. If you can shed some light on that it would be great. Thank you!
I would start by taking some online courses and getting some certifications online. Then get some sort of mentorship or entry level position at a digital marketing company to learn in-person.

But when I walk up to people in person and offer my service, they realize it’s a great service and then buy it. How do I get customers to see a service that they don’t yet know they need? Thanks.

Neil. I big question people dont seem to put out there or talk about. Is creating backlinks on PBN sites still safe even though google has claimed to crack down on it ?

@@deependradobriyal1450Instead of searching for increasing domain authority search for "how to bring more sales" bringing more sale will automatically build your authority and trust with people, and it will result in increasing your site authority.

Hey Neil.. ! Great Content😍.... Could you explain the part of site mapping and submitting.??
Here :) neilpatel.com/blog/xml-sitemap/
Sitemaps provide you crawlers with the ability to better understand your site structure; most plugins like Yoast or SEO Framework can take care of this for you easily.
Always great videos... Thank you so much for the great content
My pleasure!

You're a star Neil. Thank you.
You're welcome!

Thanks, Neil. Live long.

I experienced the same thing. Just started a SEO internship it's been only a month. And am anxious on the results.
Keep hustling :) You got it!
Sir i am following you from last one year i just created a website blog like buzzfeed can you tell me how long it will take to bring traffic like them
It will likely take a long time! Keep hustling and posting consistently! With hard work you'll get there :)
*Great tips Neil!* 👍

Hey, Neil I have a question for you:
What's the point of seeing keywords that your competitors rank for, I mean how would that benefit my website?
Because those are likely the same keywords you'll want to go after if you have the same or similar audiences
@@neilpatel thanks Neil,
YOU ARE THE BEST!😄
So just confirming: the main point is to choose a keyword that my competitor ranks for
And then create better content than him so that I get ranked above him and steal his traffic share. Right???
Again a very informative video neil :)
Thanks again! :)
@@neilpatel yours always wlc... Have learned a lot from you...
Thanks Neil for the great content.
a question: what if the blog & blog post are promoted SUCCESFULLY(it means people like content and interact) on social media/forums. I guess it will take less than 6 munths to send a good signals to google and to rank as well ?
it depends on many different factors. Of course, the better it performs the more likely you are to rank faster :)
Need help. I own a local dog waste removal company. My target market doesn’t know they need my service until they accidentally stumble upon it. They will never search for “dog waste removal near me”. But when I walk up to people in person and offer my service, they realize it’s a great service and then buy it. How do I get customers to see a service that they don’t yet know they need? Thanks.
You need to get in front of dog owners online and create some brand awareness.
I would try promoting some of your content about the services you offer! Try running Facebook ads to start :) You can target dog owners in local areas.
Is it better to build pages around competition sites that are on page one, or from industry keywords, unrelated to page one results?
Around page one, for sure
@@neilpatel which is it?
Yes, very realistic points, thanks again Neil.
Very welcome :)
Neil. I big question people dont seem to put out there or talk about. Is creating backlinks on PBN sites still safe even though google has claimed to crack down on it ?
I don't recommend it. Just try building links to high DA sites :)
@@neilpatel Another thing. I beleive I have found that Google does not really care about duplicate content anymore. If the artical has a different name address and date it the document. It will pass rank.
Thank you . This is great info

Neil, what is your view on adding audio to some of your main blog post/articles ? Does this already / will likely help in the future? One might think it improves the UX as people don't always want to read a long article, instead just click listen and carry on with their activities.
It definitely may help depending on your audience :) Try testing it on some of your posts :)
What should i do for new website. People do not give me backlinks. Should i focus on content

Neil sir, Is it Safe to make a Custom page of 'My Achievements' in our site as a portfolio or achievements page and add Appropriate Certifications? So that it can build trust as you said it becomes more authoritative to Write Article trustworthy?

Curation is gathering facts and statistics, and creating a piece of content from that. Not copying others content.

@@neilpatel Thanks sir for your reply
I've seen new pages rank on the first page of Google in as little as 72 hours, even for some pretty high competition keywords.
Wow, that's awesome
@@neilpatel It doesn't happen often... but it happens. There really seems to be no 'set in stone' rule. Sometimes they take a few days... sometimes a few months... sometimes, although rarely, never at all!
It's 2022, and I'm starting to think that it really takes 2 to 3 years now to see the full potential of a new website, minimum 1.5 years to start seeing anything worth mentioning. I also I think the sandbox duration is increasing, for well over 6 months, closer to one year now. What do you guys think, what is your personal experience with your website?
It definitely takes a long time to see the full potential of a website. I'm still growing my site 10 years later.
@@neilpatel thank you for the insight, here is an idea for a video in the channel. I’m thinking to buy a website to speed up the process, but is it really as simple as moving the content to my blog, and setting up 301 redirects? Or should i announce my services and newsletter straight up on the existing website. I wish there was a guide on how to do this (buy a website and absorb its traffic). I’m afraid to screw up SEO-wise as i’ve never done it before. Thank you and cheers 👍
Sir, Where should I learn SEO and content and digital marketing because these all are the main factors to create and distribute the content and monetization.
My main aim is to generate millions of dollars so what should be my first priority?
There are good online courses through HubSpot or Udemy :)

Is it possible if you knew a company that had no affiliate set up and wanted only you to promote them to set it up that way? What confuses me is how you would differentiate who made sales... you or the company and if that could damage your income..
Yes you can definitely set up your own partnership! There are tools you can use like UTM codes, and pixels to track! Everlow.io is also a good tool for affiliate tracking.
