  • Basically, this is the process to export from a prior time lapse object I created in Plasticity and then to bring into 3D Coat to texture and to export out to be used in Blender. This shows a good way to export the OBJ file and then goes through a time lapse of the texturing. The main focus is the setting up of the 3d coat final product and setup in blender to get a good render. This also shows how 3d coat creates a UV map of the file and exporting out with less hassle.

Would it be better to send the plasticity design to blender and use quadresher to fix any topology issues and then send to 3dcoat?

Yes, that is an option for sure but not everyone has that paid plugin. So was trying to show more of Plasticity to 3d coat and texture then back in to blender to render at end. Good suggestion for sure for those that have it.

The models exported from Plasticity seem to exhibit certain imperfections after importing them into 3DCoat. Would it be possible for you to provide a video tutorial to offer us some assistance in addressing this issue? Thanks

Good day Tai, we’re you using my model or your own? Was this exported from Plasticity or another 3d program? Be glad to help with more details.

I’ll put together a more inclusive video from A -Z when time permits without time lapse with this process. Thanks for the comments
