Great video, thanks. Even though I had a pretty good note taking system with around ten indexed notebooks, organised within a little database on my oPa-mini, moving to a A5X revolutionised my studies. I have one folder called 'Topics' where I have notebooks such as 'Resurrection, hades, hell, blood, authority, the Holy Ghost etc' and another called 'docs' where I have a pdf of the KJV, 1 Enoch, 2 Enoch, 3 Enoch, Jasher etc... and in the enclosing folder, a notebook called "Daily reading". As I go through the Bible each morning, the page is headed/indexed with a combination of the date, day and reference - 01/04/24 - Mon - 2 Kings 23:10 I then begin reading and write anything that I'm led to record, while creating or adding to or editing 'Topics notebooks' in the 'Topic Folder', within which I can add links to other topic as well as PDFs and ePubs in my 'Docs Folder'. It's changed everything, as I am building some very informative 'Topics' as the Holy Ghost leads, notebooks that are invaluable when writing up a study. One current downside is that you can not add links to a PDF or ePub to anything else, not even other pages in the same document my understanding is, that they are working on it as it is in my view, essential. Your newer device is much more powerful than my older A5X ,which can take rather too long once my Daily reading notebook exceeds 350 pages, so at that point I archive it and create a new one, however, I plan to purchase the A5X2 as soon as it is available. Again, thank you for the video, it is very informative.
Thank you! And I do believe the A5X2 is definitely going to be something! For my use case, the smaller tablet was better anyways, so I went for it. I really appreciate the positive feedback and the way you categorize your notes sounds really good, I might even give that a try myself!
@@Graf-XTechReviews Its certainly worth a try, the Holy Spirit speaks to me during my morning study and teaches me _[Jn __14:26__],_ and with the dates as headings in my _"Daily reading"_ I can always find something I was writing about over the past week or so. But when it comes to bible study, the topics that every grow and are being continuously refined, have become invaluable. If you're on the move allot, I can see how the A6X2 would be more fitting, but I'm pretty much static, and like to cram as much text on a page as possible which is why I not only use the Heart of Metal 2 pen, but created a... I think, a 6mm lined template, works for me but I doubt many would prefer it. Anyway, keep up with your devotionals and see you there, in the air!
Love to see your faith on display brother! I just purchased a Supernote today. I've been wanting an e-ink tablet for several years now and can't wait to get it in the mail. Your videos made me decide to go with the Supernote opposed to Remarkable. Thanks for the help. One question, showing your devos for Corinthians made me wonder if you can insert pages between headings. That would be nice. Let me know
This is the platform I long to adopt! Coming from the Kindle Scribe (and the Remarkable Paper Pro, which I promptly returned due to several things I couldn‘t live with), I want the software in the Supernote. Looks stellar for my needs. And I‘ll gladly wait for the larger A5X2. The only thing that is a huge bummer for me is the lack of a backlight/frontlight of any kind. I really wish Supernote would add a model with that, even if it detracts from the writing experience a bit.
Yeah that makes sense! Yeah Supernote just released more details on the A5X2 and it looks really good! I hope it comes out very shortly! I LOVE their software and platform more than any other I’ve used so far
What partner apps would the nomad work best with for IOS devices - ideally for a Mac Air, iPhone 12 and possibly an iPad Pro, to get docs to or off it ?
I can definitely make one more focused on pdfs and how they display. I’m not currently a student so I don’t really have a lot of academic pdfs but if you have a recommendation or even a specific pdf in mind I can get you a contact email and you can send it to me and I’ll make sure I use that one in the video
Thinking of getting this one. I have a question or two. Will this unit have text conversion without needing an internet connection? How is the palm rejection? Finally do you know if the Kindle Scribe pen/stylus will work with it? As always thanks for your help and keep up the good work.
Yes, text conversation can work without an internet connection, and the palm rejection is pretty good, I think it’s at least equal to the iPad maybe better. And yes it will work with any WAYCOM EMR stylus including the Kindle Scribe Pen
@@chrishamilton1189 Personally for what I use it for, I was looking for a smaller device so, no, it doesn’t feel too small. But I know for some it will be too small of a device. Hi I got my supernote not that long ago and noticed that the files are all .note. Before I got the supernote I was thinking that the files will be synced to my google drive as a .pdf, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Ultimately, I want the option to also view it on google drive. Do you know if there is an option for this or is everything just organized on the tablet itself?
Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of experience with using Google Drive with it. My guess is that everything is just going to stay organized on the tablet, I think it only syncs with the .note files. You can export a .pdf version, but that’s the only way to get it in that format as far as I know.
Great video - I've just got my Supernote A6X2 last week and am trying to get used to the tools. One thing that really puzzled me is that I can use the gestures etc in the "notes" but not word doc, am I missing something?
@@Graf-XTechReviews when I create a .doc instead of the note, the whole toolbar disappears, and I can't change the thickness of the pen and do lasso etc like what I can normally do in a note. Is it because of the document type is a .doc?
Hmm, I don’t really use much .doc files on my Supernote, but if it does that for all of that kind of document then, yeah I assume it probably is just because of that document type. I’ll try it on mine and let you know if I find out anything differently.
It’s basically like a pdf file. You can view it and zoom in on the page but you won’t be able edit from there. It still stays in black and white and the note will keep the template you had on it too. Let me know if that answers your question or not!
@Graf-XTechReviews yeah it has thanks. I'm still debating whether I buy this or wait it out. I have a Samsung tablets s8 plus and removed notifications. It helps to focus but can be too big too travel with. Ideally i want something to use in one place for my notes but thats looking more or less like a myth.
@@smaaoYeah I do find like that the size of the device is super portable! Although yeah it is difficult to have everything work perfectly together. I find that having everything sync to my phone is a good middle ground and then usually I can work around anything else.
I am giving speeches every week for my work and after I am done I recieve feedback and answers. Normally I write those down on my printed word document. Is it possible to send my word document to the Supernote and write on it?
If you leave it in the .word file format it doesn't really support handwriting on it. However, it does allow you to do different markups and corrections on the document. But if you send it to the device as a pdf file, it will definitely let you write anywhere on it.
For what I use it for, I like the small size and since you can easily use it in landscape orientation, I don't feel very limited by the size. However, if the size is an issue, I know Supernote is working on an A5X2 which might be a good option. As far as the lag goes, most e-ink tablets will have some lag as their screen technology isn't quite as sensitive, but when you are writing, I have never had a tablet with such low latency. So even if I get the occasional bug in the other controls, while I'm writing it is super smooth and that's what really matters to me.
A6X2 writing feel is significantly worse than A5X. The new screen loses feel of pen on paper of A5X and does not feel like pencil on paper. It is much more resistant to pen strokes.
@@Graf-XTechReviews The A5X is my preferred eink feel. I prefer pen on paper and pencil on paper like my Booxs or ReMarkable. The A6X2 screen doesn't feel like paper. Feels almost like a rough pillow. I hope I get use to the A6X2's new screen because I am looking forward to the A5X2 release.
@@Graf-XTechReviews I think the problem was my A6X2 screen was new and still had some extra rough spots.. The pen was sticking around edges of screen which made writing consistently difficult. I rubbed the screen edges where pen was sticking with pen for awhile and that did help a lot. Still has some spots that cactch the pen nib but I think now it will all smooth out with use. So I am planning on upgrading my A5X to the A5X2 when it releases.
Paper is outdated yet we still have printed books...how long have those be around? Like 10 years? 50 years? No, longer than that right? Like 100, 200+ years. 🙄
