I have a Boox Lumi 2 to complement my Supernote, it sits in a stand on my desk and with its power and access to the Play Store, offers things the Supernote just can't [Browser, Bible App etc], and I say that knowing that my A5X is my mainstay, and if forced to chose to keep one or the other would let the Lumi go. But I get your point, because as with BigMe, Boox could come unstuck if Apple slapped an e-ink screen in an iPad... because it appears to me... that Boox are trying to be just that, build an iPad with an e-ink screen.

I currently have an iPad Pro 12.9, a box tab ultra and recently got the SuperNote Nomad. I feel that every device has its purpose. For me less eye strain is a huge plus. I spend most of my time working on the computer and for that I even got an eink monitor. The tab ultra c is my productivity device. When I want to just write. I use my Nomad and my less used device is the iPad for those instances where I need to have an lcd screen You can make the boox quite minimal too

I bought both but 11 was too small for my eyes sight thats why I gave it to my father on his birthday as he loves reading book.

What is CES?

I have tried all 3 of the major cases and they have their pros/cons. Magic keyboard is toooo frig'n expensive and top heavy plus offers no protection and tends to fall over. Logitech is nice and priced a 1/3 less than the magic. I like how it wraps around my ipad giving it the protection that magic lacks plus it pairs instantly. I reluctantly purchased the ESR and have to say am pleasantly surprised. Yes it is somewhat heavier than the others but gives a good level of protection and the keyboard action is nice especially with the cool back lights. The inconvenience is needing to pair via bluetooth and that it needs to be re-charged separately but the price makes up for those.

in your opinion, how will feelwrite2 keep up without a folio? In and out of my bag without babying it, they market it as self healing.

Despite all fuss over Supernote's half folio, I don't like it at all and security of Manta is more important to me that the look of it and I think there are many people thinking like me. So in addition to pen loop and dust plugs, making a full folio for Manta might be a good idea as part of your business.

Very informative review. I was not even thinking about buying the Magic Keyboard b/c I really liked what the ESR was for the money. I think the sticking point for me is the battery life of the ESR. I’m use to keyboard cases that had a battery which meant I never had to worry about charging the keyboard cases. If I go with the ESR it may need to be charged before I would have to charge the iPad. Don’t have to worry about that with the Magic Keyboard. I don’t like the idea of spending the extra money but I may just have to so I can have a little more confidence. Otherwise I really like the ESR case.

I have the push up pen for my Nomad and really loved it, but now the mechanism is starting to fail and sometimes doesn't go back alone or goes out too far and is pushed into the right position at first contact. A bit annoying so I think I will go for the Lamy pen now, thanks for showing the pens on both devices!

Just get the pencil pro... as a person that tried alternatives, they just end up being a waste of money too many missing features.

Had this on BOOX and Bigme. Excited to have it on my Supernote. Makes Navigating my Bible during church much easier and faster.

Even on my 5K display it was hard to see a difference between the 3 examples. Maybe a close up photo posted in the community tab instead of a shaky cam might be easier to see? or maybe I need my eyes checked lol

First off Happy New Year ! Excellent comparison/ review and having just forked out a small fortune on an iPad Pro m4 I’m. I’m now in the market for a decent keyboard -case add on. I appreciate the apple version is £300 ish here and the esr model is less than 1/3 of the price I don’t want to waste money on features I wouldn’t miss but it’s only been your review that highlighted it the fact that the esr won’t let you have it connected with the bumper fitted . protection around the edges is very important, but it seems whichever model I go for won’t allow any form of edge protection whilst it’s magnetised to the stand. Very very odd . Weight, bulkiness aren’t an issue I can offset that against reassurance it’s protected although from what I see that’s not an option regardless of price point. Once again thank you. Well Apple Pencil nibs are replaceable so u can get finer ones and it barely takes time to charge maybe 10-15 mins

I feel like the cap that makes replacing the Logitech crayons tip harder provides protection. My old Apple Pencils tip broke off with the inside completely making my apple pen useless even with replacement tips. The cap may be the reason it offers a 4ft drop protection.

I don’t get it. If you want the bigger size you might as well get a MacBook. The whole point of an iPad is the portability.

Lets be serious, Wacom still has both of these beat latency-wise and feature wise.

its a matter of the tool and the software in this case so theres no way to really compare them you would have to find out how many levels of sensitivity they have from the manufacturer

Apple needs to go the way of the dodo. The way they're completely anti-consumer is atrocious. No at home repairs, upgrades, etc. Proprietary hardware/software. SHIT build quality. Get anything else, just not an apple product.
