That’s great! I’m really glad my experience was not the regular! Thanks for sharing that, I’m gonna pin this comment so hopefully it can help any others who are wondering about it
I think you are spot on with this review. When I saw your first review I purchased this device. As far as side loading apk. I used the “old fashioned “ way. Put the apk on my laptop and then drag it to the Penstar. Worked with no issues. My thoughts are that this is a digital replacement for a paper notebook. Instead of needing a separate notebook for each class/project/client I just need a single device with all the notes properly organized. I have found the text conversion to be very accurate and at least on par with other devices. At $369 US, it’s fairly priced. Although I really think all E-Ink devices are overpriced. By the way, just as you need an external light source for a paper notebook, you need one for this. But keep up the good work I really enjoy your style of reviewing tech products.
That’s great! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Just out of curiosity, which apps did you install to this device and how do they work for you? Also, I completely agree that all E-Ink is a little overpriced as well, but it’s also a great tool and convenience for being that ultimate notebook like you mentioned! Thanks for sharing, I really appreciate it!
It fell on the concrete when the German Shepherds crowded around coming home in the dark. The back, which is glass, shattered. It still works. Now I am looking for repair or parts if i can repair myself. And, i would like an Otterbox or similar case to protect it.
Wow! Yeah that’s unfortunate! So you’re sure the back is glass? It seemed more aluminum to me, but that’s interesting. Yeah I like the half folio for some things but another option that is more protective might be good as well! Let me know how that process goes. In my experience, Penstar’s support is incredibly helpful but keep me posted if you’re able
For writing notes, I stay away from pressure sensitivity. It works to distract you and adds another dimension you don't need for this specific purpose. Pressure is better for artistic purposes (which could include calligraphy). The variation in line thickness detracts from readability. Of course I can only speak for English, and maybe it is important for some other languages? Don't get me wrong, pressure is fun for writing, but that is more about when I am treating writing as art, instead of writing to record text.
That’s totally fair, I understand your point. I don’t usually like it too much for myself, but I found this one actually intriguing on how it worked, but I totally get your side as well!
Kindle was no problem to load and it worked well. Reading works fine.

Can the handwriting to text function detect and convert math functions like sin cos, multiply divide symbols and greek letters like theta?
I don’t think it does, but I will test it for you and if I find out it can, I will let you know
@@Graf-XTechReviews Thanks for your quick reply. 🙂

What part isn’t working?
