We just got approved! Only took 3 days. I watched your video of how to file the trademark myself and did registry right after. Took 24 hours for Amazon to accept the serial number and we were approve 48 hours after that.

@H2LYB You applied the trademark by yourself and Amazon took the pending application? I thought Amazon only accepts pending trademarks if filed through their IP accelerator law firms.
@@raingrimm3929 correct, I did it myself and Amazon took the pending trademark. You don’t need to use the IP accelerators firms. They are just an option. You’ll save $750 doing it yourself.
@@raingrimm3929 no! The way they state it makes it sound that way. The # is from the USPTO office, whether its you, another freelance loaywer, the IP, etc
This needs to be updated Camron... This registry process got a whole lot more complicated since you created this video. They're requiring proof of a relationship with your supplier, proof of your order etc. and these documents are required. It's way more challenging now and this is apparently a very recent change.
I'm gong through the process right now and noticed the difference.

The trolls come out during a full moon apparently. Very random and unnecessary. Lol. Anyway im going through the process now and was unsure of what I needed to provide. This change is recent as of just 2 months ago and there's no videos or information about it. I dont have any proof of being a "qualified manufacturer" but fortunately that part is optional. For the other of sourcing or supply invoice, I make everything by hand so I wasnt sure what to include. However, i found out it means you can include an invoice of anything you do source like parts or materials. In my case, i make candles so I used an invoice for the purchase of wicks and candle jars. Hope that helps.

@@reymondrey7187 Yes. I upload the document which are required. I asked my manufacturer to send me invoice and contract which is almost same thing. When they send me documents I redacted price information and attached that documents. Yesterday I got email from Amazon and they accepted my application.

It looks like Amazon has since added more requirements on Manufacturing and distribution information. It now asks for manufacturing information for third-party manufacturer which manufactures majority or all of the products under your brand.

What if I have a unique product and no listing yet? So I have no ASIN … do I have to create a listing first ?

So it's the IP Accelerator program now obsolete? Do you still need them to do the trademark registration? Or can you do the process through other attorneys and once you have the pending trademark you can enroll to Brand Registry?
Hey James, how am I supposed to get the ASIN if adding a product requires my brand to be registered? I did it throguh IP Accelator, then I am assuming I would have to apply for Brand Registry and then create the lable last (so that my brand name shows up)

Each state has their own options for registering an LLC. There's also a host of services that can set everything up for you. For example, Legal Zoom.com

I remember when I first signed up it had were you brand registered so do you just go back and change that? How does it show up on your Amazon seller page? My best recommendation is to keep trying. Sometimes it's just the luck of the draw. I know that might not sound helpful, but that's the best option if you get stuck on this step.

Great video, Camron! I believe there is a mistake in your video. You cannot use pending trademark application to register. Amazon does not allow it unless you apply for trademark through their IP acceleration program (very costly for beginners). I did not managed to get it through. Very curious if anyone here did it by yourself successfully.
Yes you can use pending trademark application to register.
@@mauricioguzman449 yes. You can. But the application has to be submitted by a lawyer through IP acceleration program, which is extremely costly. This is the information I got after inquiring Amazon. I don't know anyone has different stories.

Great video. Does Amazon require proof of trademark for each product you add after you're already enrolled in Brand Registry? For example, if I get approved for Brand Registry with a product trademarked in class 28, do I have to show proof of trademark to add a future product that is in class 16 even if I'm using the same brand/logo?

We submitted a picture of a box with a stamp of our brand name on it and our brand registry application was rejected. The stamp had our brand name in all caps and the trademark is technically not all caps. Do you think this could be the reason why it was rejected?
