I have 3 Questions: 1) Example: Should I buy 10 pairs of the same shoes and size or 10 units of the same soap fragrance in order to get ungated? 2) If yes. How do I sell shoes of the brand but different sizes and models? Or different soap fragrances? 3) Once the product is ungated, do I need to upload the invoice again if I decide to purchase more units later down the road?

just start sourcing and you'll come across brands you can sell. But once you start making any kinds of sales, that is when amazon opens things up so much easier.

You can just leave it, close it, or delete it. But if you close it or delete it, make sure you're past the return window so you don't get stuck with stranded inventory.

So I’ve heard that using a P.O. Box is not that bad. But what do you do when you ship to your house but that isn’t the address you use on your account?

I got a few invoices for some of the beauty brands from my supplier and I applied for their ungating. Everything on the invoices was similar except for the product description ofcourse. I got approved for a few but not the others so I am not sure what the actual difference was. I met the amazon requirements on the invoices as well which explains why I got approved to sell some of those brands.
I've been denied ungating on 4 brands so far using companies I've used to get ungated on other brands. It doesn't make sense to me. I even got ungated on a product yesterday and when i tried to list a product, they told me they're not taking any more product added for that brand...smh

it depends on the product and the category, sometimes you only have to do one, and sometimes you have to do both. But one invoice can work for both. Reach out to me on IG and I can give you a bit more direction.

I am fairly new on Amazon and I am trying to get ungated in Nike I accidentally ordered 10 of a product that is sold on Amazon, but it is a different color. The color of the product I bought is not sold on Amazon. It is a baby onesie with the Nike logo on it, I ordered plain gray and that particular one on Amazon comes of striped or same onesie but it is striped! Do you recommend I re-order the exact same one that is being sold on Amazon and return the one I got or can I just use it as a variation color? It has already been shipped to me so I could not cancel the order, I do not want to get declined so I am thinking you may say just to reorder the exact one but I wanted your advice...Sorry for this long message Thank you in advance!
Eh you can try it and see if it works but if it doesn’t then you know why. To make sure it works you will need the exact same product that is on amazon.

Hi Marvin, If Amazon accept the supplier or distributor invoice for the product we want to sell on Amazon, then we don't need approval of the brand for the product to sell in Amazon, since Amazon accept the distributor invoice. Am i right?
Correct, but there is a difference from being approved by amazon to sell it on their platform and the brand themselves allowing you to sell it on amazon. That is why it is important to check for any signs of IP issues when doing product research.
So simply asking , can i just buy 10 items from the supplier on amazon or directly off site at orginal product site ? Appreciate it and does the item im buying have to be the one im selling ? Example: We want to ungate Adidas. Buy 10 units of the adidas product, that amazon says you are gated in. Buy it off of Soccer, and submit the invoice they give you.

Yes you are open in the entire category but there may still be brands that are gated within that category. Follow the steps in the video and you can find one.
I did this and received an email almost instantly telling me that I've been approved. When I go check other products, even simply organic, it still reads "approval required". Does it take time to update and reflect on my seller central account? Also, could you tell me/us the difference between approval required and restricted? Much appreciated, thank you!!
Hello Marvin thank you for the enlightenment. We have created a seller Amazon Account. We are listing our skincare product on Amazon with generic and without UPC, which submits. we have manufactured the products already from China. Amazon is saying we need to get Approvals from regulators to sell the skincare product. How do we get Ungated and how do we start selling?
This does not work as of 11/12/2023. The reason that they denied was... "-- You have provided a order confirmation file. We are unable to accept retail receipts, online order confirmations, packing slips, sales orders, pro forma invoices, or sales quotes for approval. Provide an invoice from a manufacturer, distributor, or your supplier that reflects the itemized list of goods that you bought." Appreciate the video but just a heads up Amazon is not accepting the stores invoices that you included in your video anymore.

Hey Marvin, let me get this right... we order our product and THEN request to be ungated using our invoice... what if we don't get ungated? We just wasted money on that product? Or can we keep trying and eventually it will be accepted?
Before ordering the product you want to make sure it is actually gated for the brand/category that you want to ungate. Once you confirm that then place the order. And yes you may not get approved every time, keep re-applying.

Correct, once you ungate "puma" you will be able to sell all "puma" products.

Yes if you get ungated in the brand you are ungated in all the products that fall under that brand.

Just find the gated product and use a reputable supplier.

Yes it is possible to ungate in multiple brands with one invoice, assuming the requirements for the ungate are met for each brand.

that ungates the grocery category but there may still be some brands that will need the additional ungate.

if you're doing wholesale, you'll get them from the brand or a distributor.

I got a few invoices for some of the beauty brands from my supplier and I applied for their ungating. Everything on the invoices was similar except for the product description ofcourse. I got approved for a few but not the others so I am not sure what the actual difference was. I met the amazon requirements on the invoices as well which explains why I got approved to sell some of those brands.
You'll just have to reapply, and explain how it meets the requirements. Sometimes amazon can be finicky with ungating
I've been denied ungating on 4 brands so far using companies I've used to get ungated on other brands. It doesn't make sense to me. I even got ungated on a product yesterday and when i tried to list a product, they told me they're not taking any more product added for that brand...smh

it depends on the product and the category, sometimes you only have to do one, and sometimes you have to do both. But one invoice can work for both. Reach out to me on IG and I can give you a bit more direction.

yes, you will be ungated in the entire category but there will still be specific brands you come across that you'll need to ungate as well.

You would find the invoice in your account on the site, if not email support and ask them for a copy.
On the Selling application for Brand -- I've been seeing ASIN on the list that requires it "Dated on or before Nov 6, 2023 (within 180 days); does that mean perma-ungate due to not being early?
That means the invoice needs to be issued within the last six months
Should the name on the invoice be the shop name or my personal name when trying to get ungated?

just make sure you're purchasing from good sources and keep your receipts.

Amazon has gotten much stricter recently, id recommend using an actual invoice to not waste time.

I am fairly new on Amazon and I am trying to get ungated in Nike I accidentally ordered 10 of a product that is sold on Amazon, but it is a different color. The color of the product I bought is not sold on Amazon. It is a baby onesie with the Nike logo on it, I ordered plain gray and that particular one on Amazon comes of striped or same onesie but it is striped! Do you recommend I re-order the exact same one that is being sold on Amazon and return the one I got or can I just use it as a variation color? It has already been shipped to me so I could not cancel the order, I do not want to get declined so I am thinking you may say just to reorder the exact one but I wanted your advice...Sorry for this long message Thank you in advance!
Eh you can try it and see if it works but if it doesn’t then you know why. To make sure it works you will need the exact same product that is on amazon.

If Amazon accept the supplier or distributor invoice for the product we want to sell on Amazon, then we don't need approval of the brand for the product to sell in Amazon, since Amazon accept the distributor invoice.

Correct, but there is a difference from being approved by amazon to sell it on their platform and the brand themselves allowing you to sell it on amazon. That is why it is important to check for any signs of IP issues when doing product research.

Example: We want to ungate Adidas. Buy 10 units of the adidas product, that amazon says you are gated in. Buy it off of Soccer, and submit the invoice they give you.

Not sure, poke around the site and I'm sure you'll be able to see what they accept.
This is the problem I had with Frontier Coop… they cancelled my order and said they are not taking orders unless you provide a business license.

Yes you are open in the entire category but there may still be brands that are gated within that category.

I did this and received an email almost instantly telling me that I've been approved. When I go check other products, even simply organic, it still reads "approval required". Does it take time to update and reflect on my seller central account? Also, could you tell me/us the difference between approval required and restricted?

Provide an invoice from a manufacturer, distributor, or your supplier that reflects the itemized list of goods that you bought."
Appreciate the video but just a heads up Amazon is not accepting the stores invoices that you included in your video anymore.
This is actually what I'm helping people avoid with this video. The sites I mention provide actual invoices and one is a wholesaler.

Do not buy from Alibaba, to ungate or to resell on amazon unless you are doing private label.

Hey Marvin, let me get this right... we order our product and THEN request to be ungated using our invoice... what if we don't get ungated? We just wasted money on that product? Or can we keep trying and eventually it will be accepted?
Before ordering the product you want to make sure it is actually gated for the brand/category that you want to ungate. Once you confirm that then place the order. And yes you may not get approved every time, keep re-applying.

You won’t see it if you’re doing PL, which is what you’re doing. This video focuses on what you’ll run into if you’re doing wholesale or arbitrage.
