This game is a masterpiece. It has Yoshi, gorgeous 2D visuals, great level designs with many secret exits, best power-up in the entire series the "cape", awesome soundtracks and so on.
Even tho I like 3 a lot more I can't deny that the game is great. Every level has some kind of crazy gimmick and that's an acceptable payoff for the shitty controls, and of course, as you mentioned, the secrets are awesome. I wish modern 2D Marios had more of those.

The chords used are quite melancholic in general but the melody is playful and quite swingy. Also the's a walking bass. So on the harmonic side it is quite melancholic and on the tempo it's cheerful, so mixing both it gives this comforting feeling I would say.

I remember when I was younger and my mother introduced me and my older brother to the "Super Nintendo System" that she grew up with, and I'd always remember this song through out my childhood. Whenever I heard this song I would shed a tear or two just remembering the good and fun days when I never had to worry about school and life situations but all I had to worry about, was me trying to beat Bowser in the classic "Super Mario World" game. Hopefully when I become a father I can pass down my old Super Nintendo my mother gave me along with all these fun and enjoyable memories I grew up with, thanks to my mother.
I wasn't around when the SNES came out, but I got one for my birthday to experience everything.-- Anyway. If you ever do become a father, I hope your children can have a good childhood like you did. (I'm assuming.) :p

I was lucky enough to get introduced to videogames by my mom, this was the videogame in which I learned to grab the controller, and how to play in general. She teached me. I remember the first time I got into this song, that feeling, really hard to describe, I was happy about beating the game, and sad about it, because it was the only game I had back then (anyway I finished it again +30 times afterwards).... Today, I'm 32... My mom is not doing well, her health is quickly deteriorating, and now more than ever I find that melancholy in this song, melancholy of simpler times, when she was ok. This game is a masterpiece. It has Yoshi, gorgeous 2D visuals, great level designs with many secret exits, best power-up in the entire series the "cape", awesome soundtracks and so on.

Even tho I like 3 a lot more I can't deny that the game is great. Every level has some kind of crazy gimmick and that's an acceptable payoff for the shitty controls, and of course, as you mentioned, the secrets are awesome. I wish modern 2D Marios had more of those.

The chords used are quite melancholic in general but the melody is playful and quite swingy. Also the's a walking bass. So on the harmonic side it is quite melancholic and on the tempo it's cheerful, so mixing both it gives this comforting feeling I would say.

i feel like smb3 only gets more praise than new soup because its good for its time when in reaility youll get way more out of playing something like U. but world is something actually great. it knows what makes yoshi good, has an expertly designed world map with swicth palaces and knows what makes spin jump good. i havent finished wonder yet so i am unsure what game will remain the goat in the mario series but this game will always be something special

I remember when I was younger and my mother introduced me and my older brother to the "Super Nintendo System" that she grew up with, and I'd always remember this song through out my childhood. Whenever I heard this song I would shed a tear or two just remembering the good and fun days when I never had to worry about school and life situations but all I had to worry about, was me trying to beat Bowser in the classic "Super Mario World" game. Hopefully when I become a father I can pass down my old Super Nintendo my mother gave me along with all these fun and enjoyable memories I grew up with, thanks to my mother.

I was lucky enough to get introduced to videogames by my mom, this was the videogame in which I learned to grab the controller, and how to play in general.
She teached me.
I remember the first time I got into this song, that feeling, really hard to describe, I was happy about beating the game, and sad about it, because it was the only game I had back then (anyway I finished it again +30 times afterwards)....
Today, I'm 32... My mom is not doing well, her health is quickly deteriorating, and now more than ever I find that melancholy in this song, melancholy of simpler times, when she was ok.
