Flip's FC has turned out great. sounds fuckin sickkkkk as hell. Hope we get to see him shred it a wee bit once his break in is done with. He must be so stoked. I would cry tbh haha. Keep it up yall! Still one of my favorite car vlogs on the youtube.
For sure man! Looking forward to the day we can cruise together in the 86 and the FC! Hopefully this year.

just finished replacing the engine in my rx8, ive fallen in love with rotaries, there's something so raw and pure about how they buzz and how simple they are in design yet how much care they require and how. every rotary car is special but by god that FC is mental
Yeah man it’s a certain kind of care with these engines and cars, hearing flips car reminded me there’s nothing else like it
I love mini pick ups. I remember people used to hot rod the Morris minor trucks.
They have a certain charm, loved getting a good look around these.
There is so much to admire in this video! Flips rx7 is sooo good it looks and sounds amazing! Josh's e30 is so sweet with that s50 swap! Sounds so good and of course both those little trucks are incredible! I'm jealous of how perfect they both are!

Down here in South Africa they called it a Nissan Champ or alternatively a 1400 , last ones were produced until 2008 due to its popularity, the Nissan NP200 replaced it ...
That’s incredible, such an insane production timeline for this chassis
The Champ had a slightly taller cabin, rev counter and two seats with handbrake in the middle. The Nissan 1400 did not have the rev counter, it had a bench seat with the handbrake at the drivers door that would stab your leg everytime you got into the cabin.
Come to South Africa, you will see on of these every hour while on the road. They were manufactured until 2006 here. In our street alone, 3 of us own these and different generations too.

Those are called backies in ZA, you can pick them up for about €500, very common truck out there.

I was in Nairobi, Kenya in 2008 and saw more of these utes in 2 days than I have ever seen before or since.
they had the long and standard wheelbase you showed here but there was also a high roof version that had an extra 6 inches in height just in the roof skin

I will say, when I went to a rotary car meet, each and every wankel powered car made it's presence with the motor running even in idle. Avoided walking behind one because I figured I'd get the Dorito burn. Nonetheless, you can feel every wankel rotation with each *brap* down to your bones. My friends keep advising me from getting one because of blown apex seals and they're stupid expensive in the states so... It's a dream car.
There’s a certain type of commitment to an rx7 but that noise alone is worth it. You are dead right the thump almost rattles your whole body.

We have the Nissan champ in South Africa. Such awesome cars. Unfortunately I dont fit in them very comfortably 😄

in south africa we manufactured the sunny truck (Nissan 1400 Champ) until 2008. most parts are available

These were called Nissan 620 in Australia. The Nissan 720 was the 4x4 version. I loved our old 720. It would do a maximum 90kmh and had no radio but it went anywhere!
They were called Datsun 1200's in Australia

I skip every intro cause its soooo long and all the best bits of the video. Its like being shown what you're getting for Christmas then waiting a month to get it.
When I first drove my mini with its turbo engine on the road I felt like Flip. Its loud, obnoxious everything I wanted it to be and I also dislike it as well.
