- In this video i share with you my method for cheap DIY shifter base bushings. 1$ vs 70$ (Canadian) for the exact same result
This is for 8th generation 2006 to 2011 Honda Civics. The principle is the same for 9th gen Si's, however i have not confirmed if they are the same size washers.
Hope this helps you save some money and improve the shifter feel of your car!
finally had time to catch up on all the videos, glad you’re still going strong on the content!
MDP clutch pedal brace is also worthwhile as the factory plate is known to crack... leading to hard shifting up to and including being locked out of any gear.
I can't seem to find the 7/8 top washer anywhere. can a 1inch OD work? or does it have to be 7/8.
Acuity looking at their sales forecast - 😭
Forgot to mention you need a can of pUrPle anodized paint for them washers
1/70th the cost, 1/70th the PURPLE
Watched this up untill the top washer fell right thru the shifter base mounting hole 😂 for a second i thought he was on to something
The top washer can't physically fit through the hole, there is 3 washers per bolt, 2 smaller ones that are the same as the inner diameter.. so yes, those ones can fall through....
Although edited, it's 'until' not "until" 😅
Where in the video did any washer fall through the 'shifter base mounting hole'?
Timestamp?
Amazing!
Acuity must hate you LOL😂
