@@carpentert1964 Partly my fault; I thought that if I kept trying, I would eventually find a way of getting the Ozempic. I hadn't been on insulin for about 12 years - I had to read the instructions to remind me how and when to inject it. :(

I was on a stall so I did try Ozempic by drs request and I gained 5 lbs and got pancreatitis from it. I should’ve known better 😢 well I found a way to break my stall finally by doing psmf diet a couple days a week. 🎉

Til this day I started from the 2.25 mg and it is April 2024 and my doctor started me on just started on 10mg. I have been down 23 lbs since my last months visit so I have been feeling more confident in how effective my A1C has gotten and the onus of some much needed weight loss. I haven’t been down 23 lbs since 2013. And went from a women’s pant size 22 to I can fit into an 18 (last time I fit into an 18 was in high school! I am almost 38!) My doctor put me on Mounjarno injection once a week and also 500 mg Metformin tablets twice a day due to my lab work coming back as pre diabetes at my 3 and 6 month appointment. He said he wanted to use it for weight loss to bring my numbers down. Today 10/20 was my second injection and I literally have no appetite at all. I have to force very small amounts of food down. I told him I as very happy and comfortable and confident as a plus size woman and sis t want to lose a drastic amount of weight. But I understand his concerns about my health due to my autoimmune disorders/severe chronic pain and my multiple herniated discs in my back and neck ..it’s an effort to also take pressure off my spine as well.

You can't just get the card for the $25 copay. Your insurance company has to approve the medicine. I'm pre-diabetic and HAP will not cover it because I'm not fully diabetic. My only option is to pay full price out of pocket at $1000 per month.

There are several tiktoks on how to go about it, but it’s in the fine print of the card too. Pharmacists just don’t always know and most coupons don’t work this way. Mounjaro does tho!
Obesity creates other long term health issues For me diet and exercise only goes so far. I have been exercising and controlling my eating since March. I have lost maybe 8-10 lbs depending on which day I get on the scale. I recently inquired about this medication but as indicated it is not available in the USA as a weight loss injectable. It will be amazing when it is as the video compared the weight loss to gastric bypass surgery in terms of results.
Suppose the key trick is constantly having your mind occupied with everything but food, working, cooking, cleaning, shopping, gardening, visiting friends and relatives walking the dog, sight seeing.
It has done nothing for my A1C but I am down 60 pounds and still loosing weight I’m currently at 235 so at this point I’m just using it to loose weight not controlling sugar as it doesn’t do that for me. It did when I first started using it for about a motor two then it stopped with that I’m hoping if I get down to 190 it will help with the sugar control

I would recommend exercising like cardio if you want to lower your sugar in your blood. But, if you want to lose weight you need to have diet plan. And do more strength training. Strength training makes your body looks healthier and it helps with the metabolism.

Im.on zepbound 2.5 wk3 and the slow stomach emptying is REAL! Not only can it delay or stomach BMs when you do have the urge to go you have to push soft stool out. That tells me that the meds are causing some type of paralysis of the colon. Even when I took milk of magnesia AND 3 colon cleansing pill I had to squeeze the first 2 times I went. Then I could stop going until about 9pm which is unusual for me because laxatives only make me go 1 or 2xs max. I don't know if I'll stay on it. I need to poop naturally.
Semuglutide-Ozempic has worked wonders , I lost 30 pounds but now the side effects are gone and it’s more difficult to stop eating or it’s easier to overeat. I guess your body gets used to the medication over time. My doctor switched me to this medication or also called Mounjaro, stating it might work better than Ozempic but I have noticed any changes. 😢 I really need to lose Like 50 more pounds. Now I need to work harder to continue losing weight. It’s not easy anymore as it used to be.

You don't want more insulin in your blood. Insulin causes fat storage. Which is why it's hard to lose weight with diabetes. You pretty much have to not eat any carbs, and drop your insulin intake down to nothing.

People always think diabetes is for fat people but my dad was chubby and soon as he got diabetes he lost all the weight he's like a walking skeleton right now
Type 2 is usually brought on by over eating there's not a singular cause related to sugar, but stomach fat increases the insulin resistance that's why Type 2 are usually overweight. Type 1's is where you usually see differences in weight and that is more genetic though some people have onsaught later in life with type 1. Though most people should read about it more. My dad was a type 2 and I volunteered in the diabetes education center of my moms hospital for a bit.

Most diabetes can be cured quickly with fasting. For those with extra pounds, fasting cures many ailments, and is the closest thing to a panacea. Don't ever go more than a day or two without eating fresh vegetables. After fasting, make sure you are eating primarily organic fresh vegetables, and little or no refined sugar.
Funny.. sounds like the reverse engineering of the opiate Wheat hunger response. Right down to the nausea for a day or two. First, make the products addictive, then sell the fix for long term pharma sales. Sounds like the usual gameplan.
I understand your skepticism, but that's not a fair comparison. While it is at least partially centrally acting, there is no physiologic dependence or withdrawal symptoms. Granted, you may gain weight back when stopping, but that's different from physiologic addiction.

I've tried Ozempic and it made me so sick! Some people did well and some had great the same results I had🤢🤮

Just push your pancreas out 30 min 3 times a day once a week youll gain weight but be careful what you wish for😉

Where does metabolism fit into all of this?? Anyone can just eat itty bitty bits but how does that affect your metabolism and doesn’t mess it up over time??
I lifts weights and that had made my metabolism even better on it. I plan to continue weight training even when I come off of it.

My doctor told me that shot is $1200 a shot. Once again weight loss is only for rich people while the poor just keep getting fatter and keep it until they die. As of 3 months ago it is available.
Untrue. I have Cigna and I am what America calls working class poor and I pay $25 a month for Zepbound. So if your insurance covers it is affordable.

If eating habits change to eat whole, healthy low GI foods, there will be no reason to remain on this drug.
I think insurance shouldn't cover this, u got obese and need to pay out of pocket. Also if this obesity causes an iisur the person should buy out of their pockets for knee surgery, etc.

You don't want more insulin in your blood. Insulin causes fat storage. Which is why it's hard to lose weight with diabetes. You pretty much have to not eat any carbs, and drop your insulin intake down to nothing.

People always think diabetes is for fat people but my dad was chubby and soon as he got diabetes he lost all the weight he's like a walking skeleton right now
Sounds like he has type 1 type 1 diabetes is different from type 2.
Type 2 is usually brought on by over eating there's not a singular cause related to sugar, but stomach fat increases the insulin resistance that's why Type 2 are usually overweight. Type 1's is where you usually see differences in weight and that is more genetic though some people have onsaught later in life with type 1. Though most people should read about it more. My dad was a type 2 and I volunteered in the diabetes education center of my moms hospital for a bit.

Most diabetes can be cured quickly with fasting. For those with extra pounds, fasting cures many ailments, and is the closest thing to a panacea. Funny.. sounds like the reverse engineering of the opiate Wheat hunger response. Right down to the nausea for a day or two. First, make the products addictive, then sell the fix for long term pharma sales. Sounds like the usual gameplan.
I understand your skepticism, but that's not a fair comparison. While it is at least partially centrally acting, there is no physiologic dependence or withdrawal symptoms. Granted, you may gain weight back when stopping, but that's different from physiologic addiction.
