After admiring the action on screen the first 10+ times I watched this, I finally started listening to the music directly and damn, it sounds like the dungeon boss theme likely playing in the Garlemald section is pure fire, let alone the (maybe final boss?) boss theme during the Zenos section. They just threw in choirs for both for the heck of it!? Damn, Soken!
Okay, so I just downloaded FF14 a couple of weeks ago, and I was NOT expecting that pig costume. My man, you never cease to put a smile on my face. Endwalker looks AMAZING. I'm gonna have to test out the benchmark and see how my computer handles it.
Zenos upon seeing his frienemy in the pig costume: "Ahh, such a exhilarating sight. I see you come before me in your true form. Mmm, yes. I can smell the grandiose feats within that tough exterior, like sizzling meat upon the stove. And what quality of meat it is."
I'll be honest ... if they could show such level of animation, camera work and everything in a benchmark cinematics.. imagine what can they do for the in-game cutscenes Q_Q
There are examples of that already in the game, but it's probably incredibly time consuming and expensive, and this game has an incredibly agressive patch schedule so it's pretty much impossible to do more than 1 or 2 of those per patch. It's the same reason they aren't able to have voice acting for every cutscene sadly, too litle time.
@@TheRayzorOne They actually recently changed their animation framework specifically so they can put in more dynamic cutscenes, So you can absolutely expect there to be more stuff like this in Endwalker.
Having the freedom to save the world in your underwear or a goofy animal costume is one of the best things about this game. The developers really understand that what's fun is different for every player.

I can confirm the character can make a massive score difference. I went from just below 10k with a male Viera to over 11k with my main (a female Aura).
This thing reminds me of the intro movie editor for dynasty warriors 3. You could set who was doing the cool action sequences vs each other but also set it so guan yu was sexy dancing under the moonlight.
What a coincidence, I just cancelled my WoW discription to hop over to FFXIV today. Hopefully this time I can manage to get past the vanilla stuff that feels a little slow...
It takes roughly 24 hours to get to 50 watching the cs, after 50 you want to see them all. Just make sure someone carries you through coil before you hit 60.
@@ZinoDavidoffXIII I meant more in a story/gameplay loop way - I've heard that it picks up significantly with the expansions and I didn't even know that a new one was coming out until having bought the game... Honestly, I think I'm switching games in a large part to avoid the endgame race and have some stories thrown at me :)
Yeah, it's just you said it wasn't your first time so my advice is just to smell the roses and like if something catches your eye like side content, just do it and take a break from just story. I know the starting gameplay is unimpressive but I think even in ARR the world building and little details are great. Regardless, do what you feel is fun and forget about how anyone other than yourself enjoys the game.
@@ZinoDavidoffXIII Most of the world building *is* in ARR. Pretty much most of the dramatic payoffs in the other expansions comes from stuff they painstakingly established in 2.0+.
Really hope Jesse does a retrospective on the story of FFXIV once Endwalker comes out, as long as Square keeps true to their word and this will be in fact be finishing the main story that started since ARR.
I feel like of the WoL had just worn the pig outfit when he beat Zenos the first time he would have been so broken by the "THIS is who beat me???" of it all that he never would have bothered with anything he did afterwards. He would have retired.
I had no idea they were coming out with another expansion but it really explains all the sponsors this game has been beating the internet over the head with.
I'm a bit sad that I have seen no one comment on the fact that the beginning music is a remix of the Tower of Zot theme from FF4. This is more poignent considering there are many callbacks in the marketing of Endwalker to FF4.

@@OhNoTheFace Yea Scholar used to be fun, but they turned it into completely braindead in Shadowbringers. No idea why, they had 3 healers to mess with rotations with should just cater to each crowd. (One with ez rotation, one with hard rotation, one with normal rotation)
Nah, they always do something like this in the benchmarks, putting a bunch of bosses that have nothing to do with each other in an arena that has nothing to do with them. For example, in the Stormblood benchmark, they showed us fighting Susano, Yojimbo and his dog in the last boss room from Shisui of the Violet Tides.
@@HiddenEvilStudios Typically the beast tribes have a slightly different name to differentiate the friendly ones from the aggressive ones, though as a whole they're still the same species. So they'll probably be called something similar to Matanga, but they're still technically Matanga as a whole.

Just take it at a leisurely pace. You'll finish before Endwalker comes out no need to rush. If you focus on endgame the burnout is much more likely.

Story arc though, the story is continuing so any video will immediately be outdated when a patch hits.

It at least looks very offensive with its Totally not fin funnels so hopefully its got a more interesting dps rotation.

I couldn’t tell but did Zenos have to strike lower to hit you as a Lalafell? With other races I think he would aim higher but I don’t know for sure.
