Soken is gonna kill me with the new songs... My god, just some previews in this video (Especially Old Sharlayan's theme) already made me want to cry...
While I appreciate everyone else doing job gameplay deep dives, I really love you just goofing off and exploring zones and animations, Jesse. I would totally have done the same thing if I was invited. This is a huge part of why this game is great! That subway in Garlemald looks really cool in particular.

Jesse: "So yeah, first you hit the blue button and it becomes a purple button. Bada Bing Bada Boom!"
And this is why im actually glad Jesse and a lot of newcomers to the scene were invited to the media tour! As a 1.0 vet I absolutely love the different perspective on things and the simple love he has for the game.
@@Raxen95 depends on who you ask honestly cause there is all kinds of players out there. if you and the rest of the party make the decision that you dont care how long the dungeon takes and just want to have fun in your own way you're absolutely right as is a majority of cases. Unrelated but heck i really like going after unnecessary adds on the way to the end just for the sake of more exp while actually in the dungeon to get the most out of it even though i can just run by them. On a personal note though when i stop and consider that other people might not have more than a limited time to play every day i just personally want to better myself not just for my own experience but for their sake to try and make things go even the slightest bit faster for them from proper execution of a job in not just certain content but all content. Naturally later gear obviously makes things a breeze enough as it is in leveling dungeons regardless of the effort involved but still were going into a launch and a lot of things are going to be closer to minimum item level so it will be a little more important at the beginning. That might not be how you play the game nor might it even be a concern of yours ,but i just consider it more of a courtesy just to throw out a "hey how fast do you want to go" really quick at the start. I do agree though to an extent of course and I don't think anyone should fault you or anyone for that matter for wanting to mess around in lower end content and have fun the way you view it as fun with your damage rotation in dungeons or just take it easy even if its not perfect and not worry too much as long as theres at least some effort going on in the long run. its not like its serious business like a savage raid or an ultimate obviously after all where youre fighting the timer as much as you are the mechanics and stuff like that actually matters with optimization and junk. I just also really think there still is value in executing the job properly for dungeons if you care to at least because more damage dealt means faster dungeons which also means fitting in more runs in shorter time with those people who cant play for long and it can also mean quicker exp generation over all from the dungeon spam.
Honestly can't wait for your final impressions once this comes out. Your FFXIV vids are always a great watch, whether its trailer reactions, lore vids or first reaction seeing the end of each expansions.
Everyone else on the media tour: Here are these abilities, the rotation is possibly this, there's some utilitization here Jesse: There's Blue abilities that make me do Red abilities, and then you do Purple abilities
As someone who doesn't care much about the job changes, this was the kind of video that I was looking for. Focusing more on the areas, gears, dungeons etc. Thank you!
sameeee, im also more interested in pvp changes over pve changes tbh, so for pve and raiding im moreso focused on how the classes feel over the nitty gritty details
Nidhana seems to be one of the Matanga who are being farmed for their faith to summon a primal just like we saw happen with the glowing towers and Lunar Ifrit in the most recent patch. Who knows what else they could use that faith power for though. Exciting lore times ahead.
Jesse: "The most important research I could do on your behalf; what do weapons-out run animations look like?" Me, who picked my main classes (MCH and GNB) based solely on weapons-out run/sprint animations: "Yes! YESSS! MY BOY!"
SO glad I found a content creator who plays a (male) Lalafell! It's hard to see how things are going to look on my character sometimes, and your showcase of the artifact sets was perfect!
to be fair, the two lala genders are hardly different from eachother besides voices and the fact its gendered so there could be gear differences(which there isnt for atf gear most of the time)
Had to stop where the ‘potential spoilers ahead’ warning appeared, but thank you for showing how the job gear looks. Kinda struck between rolling into Endwalker as a Gunbreaker or a Warrior now 😂
Hello, Jessie! I wanted to say I highly enjoyed your depiction of the media tour - taking us through the areas as you did with your commentary, made me feel like I was there myself! And I appreciated that, as well as you showing the obligatory jobs and dungeon. I also noticed you chose the (superior, hehe) mid boss music for the boss montage background, which was pleasant to listen to as I watched the gameplay. Well done and as a newcomer to your 14 content, I do hope you continue to make more!
Ah yes Tower of Zot, that was a wall for me as a kid playing FF4. Going back to the game these days, even the much harder 3D version, I realize just how awful at games I was as a child.
Oh God, the Tower of Zot in the DS remake. Almost every playthrough my FIRST FIGHT in that tower is with a group of monsters that one-shots me before I get a turn in. Then I reload and it doesn't happen again. It's REALLY weird. BTW, where the **** IS that tower in the game world? We don't go to a place on the map, we just go straight up.
Don't worry about not having your job optimized on day 1. Everyone will be in the same boat of learning the new jobs and getting used to the changes to the old jobs. The community is very understanding of this learning period. That is why all of the raids and harder difficulty bosses are not released with the expansion. You will have plenty of time to learn the new and old jobs before raiding and extreme bosses get released. If you are ever nervous about going into a dungeon on a brand new job or one that you are still learning the changes just say so in chat. I promise it will be fine.
Thanks for this Jesse! Its the sort of breakdown I needed because you went through the same things I would have looked at and cared about haha. Its making me wish your FFXIV playthrough was on youtube in some capacity, I keep worrying that something is going to happen to the twitch playlist. Not enough streamers/youtubers get as pumped for Nero and Zenos as you and its good to see somebody have the same reaction I do whenever they show up in MSQ. Overall, great video, thank you, so glad you joined the community and went headfirst into it, heck yeah.
I hope you upload your full playthrough of Endwalker when it releases on youtube, also looking forward to your playthrough of Hildebrand quest if you ever plan on continuing it.
Out of everyone who I've seen cover the media tour build, Jesse is the only one who actually knew that the Tower of Zot and the Magus Sisters are from FFIV, and that makes the old gamer in me very happy.

The way Garlemald looks with how devastated it is gives me FF15 vibes for when you finally get to Gralea, the empire capital at the end of the game. It's not really destroyed on this level but it's the same sort of atmosphere, dark and foreign compared to everything else you've seen before. Same sort of deal for when you go back to Insomnia at the end of FF15 and it's utter chaos. I dig it.
Don't worry about not going in depth with the Jobs Jesse, there are plenty of other veteran XIV content creators like Mr Happy and MTQcapture who've got us covered on that front.

honestly its cool having an enclosed hub of sorts where its sorta claustrophobic due to how horrible it is outside
