This 09 class is unbelievable. Leetchie, Hull, Lucky Luc and Yzerman. Leetchie and his family are class acts and in my opinion he is the greatest american born D of all time.
Hockey fans do yourself a favor: check out Brian Leetch & Mike Richter in the ‘94 playoffs & 1996 World Cup of Hockey. You’ll be hard-pressed to find any better clutch performances in hockey history.
so this comment is coming in october 2020. i've been following the game for 40 years (since '80) and imo my dream team (inclusive of best guy for the job regardless of country) top pairing would be leetch and lidstrom. two guys that are not just great human beings but the proper d-man for the job. protect the defensive zone, minimize mistakes, and can help provide scoring when needed. i'm not a ranger fan or hater by any stretch but i really appreciate what leetch did in his career. that '94 p-off's , he def was the correct choice for the mvp. NYR organization and fans, y'all are lucky to have leetch as a representative of the team. so many other teams would suffer great hardship to have someone like him!! cheers from southern ontario, canada 🍁
LETS GO RANGERS! I've been from Massachusetts my whole life and have been a Bruins fan for 30 years and I agree with you. I always felt like borque was just a little bit overrated defensively. Leetch just did not make any defensive mistakes whatsoever. Although borque did manage to put up a shit ton of points which counts for something
Unforgetable player❤️
he has everyone's respect
A great leader yet low key and humble guy ....

I always emulate Leetch every time I play street or ice hockey with my friends
Greatest American born hockey player yet.
So classy! You bet he wouldbe in top pairing on defence!
Class Act , unbelievable skater reminded me of rayo rutsalainin! No cup in 94 with out Brian Leetch!
I thought that he might mention Gretzky
Don't care what anyone says, I'd take Leetch over Bourque any day in their primes.
