While hes definitely the next generational prospect in the McDavid/Crosby level, I think its important to note this isn't just another season. In a regular season, while his production will be impressive it won't be 2pts/game level. With that said, this kid reminds me so much of a Tavares/Stamkos hybrid, which is an insane hybrid.

I bet this kid wins a few Rocket Richards in the NHL. He has the best wrist shot I've ever seen from someone his age. The WHL's in trouble over the next 2 years he's gonna be on another level!
I love the way this guy says "scores". A very good commentator for juniors, usually most below the NHL are painful to listen to

Actually most WHL guys are good the only problem is most teams have pretty low quality broadcast cameras and layouts

his ability to start and finish plays is just unmatched at his level
To give context, McDavid was barely over a point per game in his 15 year old season, Bedard is a touch below 2 points a game.
Well bedard has aimbot which is more likely to get him points rather than speed hacks.

Not to mention the WHL is known for its insane defence and old school tough play so i’d argue it’s harder to score in the Dub than the O and Q
I’m pretty sure Mcdavid was playing in a more difficult league, but bedards stats are still impressive. How he does in the u18 games for canada should be fun to watch and should help put his numbers in better context. If he can produce at the same pace in those games, that could be really promising.

Never seen a prospect play this well at this age before in the last many years, none of the other exceptional status players even mcdavid played this well at 15. At 15 Mcdavid has 66 points in 63 games, Bedard scores 28 in 15 games.
Wasn’t Mcdavid in the OHL tho? I can’t remember lol but I’m pretty sure when he was playing at age 15 or whatever I’m pretty sure the league had a good amount of current nhl players that were pretty good, not taking anything away from bedard tho

That curl and drag shot looks very similar to Matthews. Plus he's got the speed and hands, this kid is gonna be special.

Bedard said he liked Matthew's shooting style so he tried to do matthew's style a lot when he practiced.
This kid is next level. His release is already NHL-calibre and his edge work is phenomenal

He is unreal. I still cannot believe that a 15 year old (at the time, he's now 16) won Rookie of the Year, and dominated as if he were a 19 year old playing his final year of junior hockey. This kid is only getting started, and he already looks like Patrick Kane, and Kane is one of the best. So, he is something to watch for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if, given a full year, he can pull off a 70-70 season at least once.
Also let's not forget Wright is next year's consensus #1 pick, and he's more like a Stamkos player. He might not be flashy, but he can sure as hell shoot the puck, and play good defense. Canadian hockey is looking good as usual. Seems like the gap between generational talents is shrinking, as the prospects get better and better more frequently and regularly.

All generational players over the 100 years the NHL has been around have all come from Canada.
When I say generational, I mean the best in each era . Gordie Howe, Bobby Orr, Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux , Sydney Crosby. And now Conner Mcdavid. None of the players you mentioned were better than my list.

What an explosive player! That wrist shot has some Phil Kessel sauce on it.. I can't figure out who he reminds me of but when he skates in space he reminds me alot of Bryan Rust.. quick hands and elite vision

If Pittsburgh gets to draft him, we riot. I don't want the top teams to get another talent like this. But yeah, whichever team gets him is in for a treat (I'm gonna feel sad if he's drafted by Buffalo...)
I just hope it’s a Canadian team that gets him. It would be cool if he goes to Calgary and Mitchikov goes to Edmonton and that becomes the new Crosby- Ovi rivalry.

Major Junior hockey doesn't feel right without fans. That being said, this kid is very impressive to watch.

if this kid gets a better stride to his skating and makes his skating elite-level and top-tier, this kid is gonna be DANGEROUS dangerous. no goalie is gonna wanna see a kid with Nathan MacKinnon type skating and the shot of someone like Ovi or Matthews coming in on them on a breakaway... regardless of his skating, this kid has TALENT. Cant wait to see what he develops into
He makes it look effortless.
This kid has earned his skill and talent, Gretzky was the same way, putting in hours on end shooting pucks.
He should because he will also be able to play the following year and the experience will make him that much better for 2023. Plus he can contribute points now. Question is will he be a risk in the D zone?

Obviously he has great vision, but I expected a more powerful and clean stride. He skates pretty wonky for higher level play. Skating and quick thinking are the two things that prevent translating skill to higher levels. Luckily he has the harder one to lean under his belt. Needs to be hungry and work for it.
Think he's going to be so good but the question is will he be better than Mcdaivd? I doubt it but man is he going to be so good

Happy for all these young men. I think that in 10 years time most nhl ers will be considered over the hill at 30. That probably is one reason in the US hockey won’t eclipse baseball as a national past time.

I mean, he is doing this well underage and against mostly adults, some of who are drafted for the NHL. Confidence doesn't seem to be an issue either. Seems very unlikely he'll be a bust, but you never know.

Yeah what happens when he becomes a star? He will cost so much money, idk if the oilers could handle the cap space. There is no shot he goes to edmonton, probably Buffalo, Coyotes, Ducks, Wings. Those are my guesses for the 2022 draft with wright, and 2023 draft with bedard
