Rev up your engine! its time for new brake pads and rotors, now you know what you have to do. By the way are you greasing your front sliding pins or not ?

Later update, the guys from Autodoc answered to my question regarding the sliding pins: "The sliding pins on the front are not lubricated, as they function properly without lubrication. Sincerely, AUTODOC Team."; So basically there is no concrete reason not to help your sliding pins to slide even way more better with some ceramic paste! :D

Thanks Tiffany, don't forget to bed your new brake pads and rotors after the replacement, did you also take your time and paint the calipers?

Nice video, one suggestion, don’t replace your disks & pads with oem parts. In my experience JLR is inferior to specialists like Brembo (and are often cheaper).

I did film a clip to make a video with the brake specs from Dyno with different brake pads mounted on Evoque, from different ranges on a budget, like ATE, FERODO, FEBI, TEXTAR, TRW, and OEM... but I didn't have the time to process the clips and launch it on YT, until now the OEM was the best in performance compared with those ones. Still, on the next worn-out, I will put BREMBO and I check the performance difference because I have too many requests from the shops to try those as well.

Yeah, and trust me the sound of the bolt snapping remains in your head for a long time :)

Pretty scary that you're not using an axle stand!

Its scary if you dont know the whole thing, i am using a 3 ton jack instead of a 1.5 ton specifically not to create that puch pressure on the hidraulic chamber of the jack and when i am geting under the car i am puting a homemade lock and jack stands, you can find them for purchase on amazon but for me it was easyer to weld one at home. here is an example: www.amazon.com/AGM-Products-Jack-Rod-Automatically/dp/B0C7JWZSQS/ Also i am doing maintenance on my jacks after each use so it impossibile to fail.

Is that necessary to use scanner on this case? Any error message?

For the front brake job is not necesary to have a Scan Tool, there is no electronic parking brake on the front side, only on the back side. Also i suggest to use the original land rover brake pads, I also did a comparison between ATE - BREMBO - FERODO - LR OEM and let me tell you from those brake pads nothing beates the OEM at the performance.(Video not released yet - in progress)
