Appreciate the video, but having the cam aimed down on the table as you do the work would be more helpful. If you did that you'd be the premier YT video on the disassembly of the 712.
Absolutely agree. A first person POV looking down at the work table at about a 45° angle and about 2 feet away from the subject is tops....but that wouldn't suit the vanity part of RUclips wherein people just have to be in front of the camera at all times! 🤪 Hey at least he didn't 'film' it in portrait mode.
@@Hjerte_Verke Some YT cams are set up for dialogue, such as that of Yankee Marshall, but when he did a disassembly video he offered a table top view. It's possible this particular YTer is more inclined to offer vids that are more involving discussion and perspective.
I’m still learning here. I appreciate the tips. The purpose of the video was to show what was wrong and how I fixed it. These gun are so easy to disassemble and reassemble I tend to forget I need to show the whole procedure start to finish.
I think this video depicts the 712 Gen2? The Gen3 is out now and there are a few differences. There’s a second nut to retain the barrel, the charging handle is now longer, the bolt release is a paddle instead of a button. I understand that CZ is now using the 1012’s trigger group in the 712 as well.
@@ritesideofthefence5857, Oversized safety on alloy trigger guard at the front not rear, oversized charging handle, oversized bolt carrier release, different receiver profile, handguard no longer holds the barrel on, it is now held on with the action and the handguard snugs up without being an intergal part of the barrel and assembly, also comes with a full set of cast and drop shims for a perfect fit for anyone, longer extended profile chokes based on a .735 bore old 712 was a .730 bore, comes with two pistons, light medium loads and heavy loads so itll cycle anything, also stock and forends and different with nicer checkering, way nicer shooting gun
The great Cornholio!! Another great video Josh, thanks for sharing
LoL 😂 so glad you caught the joke!
Thank you. I like my 712’s but had such a tough time removing the bolt handle.

@@bobg1685 Maybe so, but this video is then basically useless for its stated purpose. I have no desire to see this man's face instead of the shotgun.

Very well done.
Thank you kindly!
Question: Is it normal that the barrel extension which is mounted over the chamber (slides in the receiver) is loose/can be twisted on the barrel?
Thank you. Great video.
Any advice for the 720? Is it basically the same? Any known aftermarket oversized bolt handle and release? Thanks!
Honestly no. I’ve typically made my own. Might check with Brownell’s, Midway USA, or eBay.
@@MastGunWorks I found a 720 G3 that came with an oversized release and handle. It’s fantastic!
That flag is fuckin epic.
LoL, thanks 😂. I actually saw that on another guys wall.
Básicamente es igualmente ala shotgun pointer sts8 es exactamente lo mismo
Can’t figure out for the life of me how to remove the bolt
My internals are different than yours. Good Vid!
That’s very interesting. What model do you have, and what’s different?
@@Jmastffp Action bar and action bar sleeve come apart and are 2 separate pieces. I had to look. :)
Hey thanks for the reply. That’s very interesting. I wonder if that part would in this model/version instead of what’s there now

i have a 712 g2 and there is another screw on nob between the gas block and the plastic end cap nut
1:43 "Gas ring" = Gas piston per CZ parlance.
These guns are made and engineered by HUGLU, the new G3 is 10 times the gun that this G2 is, I own both
How so ? What are the differences B Smith.

On the CZ shotgun you have to get the handle off first. It’s not fun. You have to get the bolt lines up just right
