'Military is really well organized'. Fun fact, the director, Michael Bay, actually gave the combat scenario to the military, and had them respond to it as a simulation.
While I'm really unimpressed by a lot of things he's done with the Transformers series (I still like the first one overall, past that...) I also think it's a crying shame he was never given GI Joe. When he's playing to his strengths he's STRONG.
12:50 believe it or not, this wasn't added for comedic effect, it's based off of something that actually happened. Michael Bay got the inspiration from a story told by a Navy SEAL.
It doesn't matter how many times I've seen the movie, the scene with Optimus and the other Autobots arriving on Earth will always give me the good kind of chills. As a Transformers fan since 2001, I grew up hearing Neil Kaplan voice Optimus. From Neil Kaplan, I heard Garry Chalk's Optimus voice in the Unicron trilogy. I feel a little like a fraudulent fan because it took me until the live-action movies and the series Transformers Prime to hear Peter Cullen as Optimus to truly bask in the glory of the Supreme Commander of the Autobots.
Then becoming romantic that quick made more sense than any chick flick romance film I’ve seen if I’m being completely honest. Two teens being together for multiple life or death situations will probably connect on a deep level pretty quickly
I have always found it funny that the auto bots were surprised that someone called the decepticons betrayed them😂 like deception is literally in the name😂
They weren't Decepticons until they betrayed the Autobots, the Decepticons were actually Autobots on the same side. That is why Optimus Prime called Megatron brother multiple times, same with The Fallen calling the Primes his brothers until he felt they betrayed him.
3 best things about this movie, Optimus Prime, awesome action and Linkin Park 😂. “What I’ve Done” is one of my favorite songs. This movie introduced me to the band and has a special place in my heart
I may consider rewatching the Transformers films again before Rise of the Beasts launches. This first film walked so that the others could run and what a way to start the live action cinematic franchise!
Whilst I'm not a fan of the Michael Bay Transformers, Peter Cullen's performance as Optimus Prime was always the best part to me as he's a legend and will always be one of the best voice actors in the world!
The first Transformers movie is actually not that bad, once you get over Michael Bay’s “special editions” to it. Also, because of this movie, Linkin Park’s “What I Done” has become a meme for if any movie was in 2007.
The night at the museum movies click zoolander zoolander 2 scooby-doo scooby-doo: monsters unleashed and the live action teenage mutant ninja turtles movies❤😊👍
Here's a fun fact, if you don't know: Peter Cullens who voiced Optimus Prime in this movie, has voiced the G1 Optimus in the 1984 cartoon. The cartoon was the first role of Cullens as voicing Optimus, making this his requiring role as it's iteration of Optimus, followed by others after it.
Fun fact: Peter Cullen, Optimus VA, is the one that does the Predator sounds. I hope that both of you continue with the Transformers movies, mostly because the journey of watching the first 5 movies will make you appreciate the Bumblebee Movie so much more (they aren't connected tho), I still have to warn you that the second and fifth movie are really hard to watch, the third one is really good and the fourth one is kind of decent but can be hard to watch at times.
Michael Bay DID direct commercials (which actually includes the first ever "Got Milk?" commercial) and music videos before he did movies, so that's why certain scenes feel like that. Lol
Ngl, ROTF was pretty decent, DOTM is the greatest along with the first one, and I kind of liked AOE, but TLK, that was the epitomy of "hit or miss" but I respect your opinion

Shia was just amazing in this movie.. He made the movie so much fun😂.. When this movie was released, i wasnt old enough to watch so I first saw it in 2014 and I loved it.. Still love it.. Thanks so much for bringing it back❤
Being an 80s kid, when this movie came out ofc I ran to see it. Transformers was an amazing toy line back in the day. The movie hit me right n the nostalgia bone.
I’m not going to lie but my favourite scene from this movie is actually the A-10 thunderbolt airstrike sequence when they fight scorpionik in the desert. Anyway the action is going to get even better from number 2 onwards so look forward to it 😃
so remember how the Autobot Jazz got ripped in half by Megatron, and couldn't be revived by Ironhide and Ratchet? Well, alongside the movies were a bunch of tie-in comics, and in one set after this first movie, we're shown Jazzs' funeral, where his corpse/halves were dumped into the ocean inside the trailer of Optimus' truck. And standing by, watching it happen and mourning him, were soldiers that had their lives saved by Jazz during the battle in the city. Just a cool thing to point out
THAT VOICE IS THE ICONIC VOICE OF PETER CULLEN WHO PLAYED THE ORIGINAL OPTIMUS PRIME IN THE 84 cartoons!!!!! He has continued to voiced Optimus Prime in series, games and especially the movies
I was recently watching a behind the scenes, Optimus prime alone has 10,000 moving parts that needed to be done. Talk about taking things to a new level, let alone having to make thousands of parts move per robot! Talk about mind blowing!!
THIS is the movie that let me give huge respect to Shia LaBeouf as a movie actor after leaving Disney behind to join big budget films. 2007’s Transformers by Michael Bay proved to be a fun thrill ride of a movie. Glad original voice actor Peter Cullen reprised the role of Optimus Prime in this live-action adaptation. I await when you cover the other two installments after this one!
"Who is this?? '...He's.....MY advisor.' ......He comes too." I love this lol It shows what it's like when someone actually competent has power. He doesn't know what's happening, so he wants the person who discovered it. When he asks about someone that seems meaningless, but is then told that they HELPED the Discoverer, nothing else matters. They come too.
The Autobots defiantly caused much more destruction on their arrival than the Decepticons who landed years before the events of this movie and remained hidden with no one having a clue till now. The fact the Decepticons actually land near a military base shows just how little destruction was caused at that point.
31:09 I used to wonder this too, why everything on Earth that got brought to life by the Allspark was always automatcially evil, then I read a theory that made perfect sense, if you remember when S7 is talking about what they've been doing with Megatron since bringing him in, they mention how just about every single bit of modern technology was reverse engineered from Megatron's own body. So almost every machine on Earth has a little piece of Megatron in it, no wonder they're all born evil.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but the voice of Optimus prime is done by Peter Cullen, who also voices Optimus prime originally in the cartoon series back in the 80s. They wanted and managed to get the same voice actor to continue.
10/10 Everything I could have asked as huge fan It's August 9th 2020. I am watching this again for the 100th time. Never thought about reviewing it until now. As a massive fan in the 80s I was obsessed with the Comics (have them all) the toys and the tv cartoon. When I learned this was being made I had zero expectations except the trailers making it look something special. It really did not disappoint. The CGIof the robots is brilliant. The story is something that falls in line with the source material which okay isn't the most amazing of stories however it's a modern twist with elements of subtle comedy a real babe in Megan and a badass Megatron. I know people were upset with the decision to scrap Megatron turning into a gun but how would it have worked? This is by far the best of all the movies made so far. If you are a real fan you'll appreciate the efforts made I know I am.
Barricade is the only one to display the Decepticon insignia in this movie. It's located in the police patch next to the front doors. Not even Megatron shows his in this movie. The Autobot insignia is seen on Bumblebee on the steering wheel on Ratchet in the FD/rescue patch on the front doors and on Optimus Prime.
I remember when this film first came out and I was so excited! I was so amazed by the visual facts of the robots as well as the storyline that coincide with them. The only way I could tell if the other robots were good or evil were the eye colors. Auto bots were blue while Decepticons were red. 💛🖤💙💜❤️🚙🤖
Also btw, when agent Simmons tested Sam for radiation, the dosimeter showed that Sam was exposed to at least 1000 Grey (lethal dose of radiation is 1000-5000 Grey, inner bleedings especially around the abdominal area because of artery membranes getting thinner will cause death in about 1-2 weeks since initial exposure) Have fun imagining it 😂
Hey Timothee! You’ve got to react to the Transformers: Prime animated series! Many would argue it does more justice for the franchise than even the movies!
Y'all guys are awesome and I'm not just saying that, it was one of the most fun reactions to this childhood classic.I must confess that in the first half I was looking a lot at the lady there, couldn't help it, I'm sorry haha
I remember seeing this is as a kid in theaters. It was good, but my favorite has to be Transformers 1986. Also cool fact, Steven Spielberg was the executive producer of the live action Transformers films.
Fun fact the music is this good because Steve Zablonski composed it. His mentor was Hans Zimmer who collaborated with Michael Bay in the 90s and essentially passed on the composer mantle to Steve for these movies. He is a good composer and I like to see more of him.
Hasbro owns the Transformer franchise. The catch phrase that has existed since they first appeared in the 80's was actually said a few times in the movie "More than meets the eye".
Very awesome movie cause the decepticons are made for military use, and autobots are made for civilian use which is really cool great reaction Tim and Malbread

(Yeah this is a lot more than what I intended to write...)
1:34 Couldn't have been a better way to open this movie. They've got Peter Cullen back as Optimus Prime after 20 years; of course that's the first thing they show off.

These are my favorite Transformers from the movies: Autobots - Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Ironhide, Ratchet, Sideswipe, and Hound Decepticons - Starscream, Barricade, Megatron, Shockwave, Blackout, and Bonecrusher Not aligned with either - Lockdown
This movie(and most of its sequels) its such a good time watching a movie, altough a lot of things dont work(like plot and characthers) but these movies are pure action and cool soundtrack, this movie was so big during my childhood and i have such a great memory of that time and thats why dispite everything bad about it i love this movie
It has occurred to me that if you have no experience with transformers at all, the begging of this movie makes it seem like a horror film. With that idea the opening with blackout becomes even better and cooler cause that would be the first thing someone sees for a transformer , a humongous beast of a machine capable of nuking an entire military base all on his own. I definitely need to give props for that.
I didn't overly care too much for this movie, but the scene where Bumblebee reshapes itself into the new Camaro always gets me. Mind you this was in 2007; when you DIDN'T see any of those Camaros and Dodge Challengers on the roads like you do nowadays. They were still practically concept vehicles.

This movie(and most of its sequels) its such a good time watching a movie, altough a lot of things dont work(like plot and characthers) but these movies are pure action and cool soundtrack, this movie was so big during my childhood and i have such a great memory of that time and thats why dispite everything bad about it i love this movie
The worlds greatest car commercial ever🤣
14:27-14:34 him yelling at his grandma reminds me of Andre and his grandma in victorious 😂😂
Tim....I apologize for nagging for this for so long but BOY AM I EXCITED!!!!!
