@@bald_phoenix there is still more than just that. And of course, you know how reviews can persuade people to make a decision. Resident evil 3 remake only get 8.4 millions sale and even less than Resident evil 8 with 9.3 millions copies. And resident evil 4 remake sale are 7 millions as in March 13, 2024 Also don't forget re7 is the game where Capcom test new game engine. Thank you so much for watching the video Psychon, I really appreciate it! Village when it was announced felt to have an eerie atmosphere, black magic and cults because of the gothic European setting but playing the game it did feel like the trailers were slightly deceptive and I must commend the editors for tricking me but even though it is not as faithful to the tone that seven had established, yet I thoroughly enjoyed it. I admire that it tries to create an overlap for the veterans and the new players. It truly has something for each Resident Evil fan but slightly falters because it is doing too much at the same time. It is I would say the perfect blend of everything that makes Resident Evil what it is today. It does not disregard the identity of the franchise. Ethan’s arc is perfect, every act has the survival horror elements, puzzles, diverse bosses and enemies, varying weapons with overarching themes also present. The visuals, the soundtrack and the sound design is remarkable too. Plus, it also intertwines with the other games in the franchise seamlessly and concludes on a respectable note. While seven is superior, eight has its own charm devoid of major flaws. It is what five should have done after four back in the day when it launched and it shows that Capcom cares and understands that they cannot repeat the same mistakes. Altering and modifying but sticking to the formula by not significantly detracting.

Oh, my mistake! According to the lore, they met in 2011 in Texas and did get married. By 2014, Mia had taken the babysitting job. So, yes, they were married-I had thought they were just engaged. Even in that case, she would have been his fiancée. I’m planning to remake this retrospective and enhance it significantly. The remake will also include chapters covering the post-launch content. I’ll make sure to correct any other errors like this as well. Thank you so much for watching by the way!
Thank you for watching Aran, I hope you enjoyed the video. And yes, Resident Evil 7 does not disappoint. It may not be the best but it opened a lot of doors.
Thanks so much, that truly means a lot! I’m still working on growing the channel, but I really appreciate your support. Hopefully, more people will find the content soon!
I would say for sure it was the RE Engine that gave new life to the franchise. The thing that makes a game With Resident Evil in the title successful, is how much do we care about the main protagonist. Personally, I could not care less about Ethan, and its funny that he is the only main character in the entire franchise to be killed off. RE7 and Village made an Error going down the First Person view route and not giving us a Protagonist we could get behind.
your editing is amazing, i love your creative mind omg. I hate the re7 intro song it just doesn’t match the game i dont understand why resident evil chose it- am i wrong to think that- i never fw it 😭
This song plays a significant role in setting the eerie and unsettling tone for the game. The lore behind the song is (deeply) connected to the themes and characters of the game. "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" is an adaptation of a traditional American folk song, but in the context of Resident Evil 7, it has been reinterpreted to reflect the game's dark and disturbing narrative. The original folk song has lyrics about the death of a pet goose, but in the game, the lyrics and mood are altered to suggest something far more sinister. 1) Thematic Connection The song is closely tied to the Baker family, particularly Eveline, the central antagonist. Eveline is a genetically-engineered bioweapon who has the power to control minds, and she sees the Baker family as her "family." The song's refrain, "Go tell Aunt Rhody that everybody's dead," takes on a chilling meaning in the context of the game, as it can be seen as a reference to Eveline's destructive influence over the Bakers and anyone who crosses her path. 2) Symbolism in the Lyrics First, Aunt Rhody: This could be interpreted as a figure who represents the corrupted matriarchal figure which is Eveline herself, as she controls and ultimately dooms the Baker family. Second, “Everybody's dead": This line reflects the fate of those who come into contact with Eveline. The Bakers, once a normal family, are transformed into grotesque, violent versions of themselves due to her control, effectively making them "dead" in a metaphorical sense. Now there is a sense of connection to the game’s atmosphere itself. The haunting and melancholic arrangement of the song is meant to evoke a sense of dread and tragedy. It reflects the twisted and decaying world the player is about to enter. As the player unravels the horrors within the Baker household, the song serves as a grim reminder of the consequences of meddling with forces beyond human control. So, "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" sort of serves as a thematic anthem for the game, encapsulating the tragic downfall of the Baker family and the malevolent presence of Eveline, while also contributing to the overall unsettling atmosphere that defines the game.
Re fans: I wasn't any good at the action games but I did well at the puzzles and running around. Re 5 and 6 are bad but we give 4 a pass because it actually deserves one. Re fans that aren't upset at 5 and 6: one of the best action games of all times but can still play the other titles because we don't have stupid fingers. I think action RE titles and puzzle horror RE titles can coexist.
At this point I'd like a live action or 3d animated film that reflects the feel of the puzzle horror instead of the super action of 4-6 because the action part of RE has been sated.
This is quite accurate. There is unfortunately no overlap between The fans of the classics and the remakes, and Pre-Resident Evil 5 fans and Post-Resident Evil 6 fans. To me Resident Evil still seems to be treading on an intriguing path, unlike most franchises which inevitably lose their way. Thank you for watching Q LaSalle. I hope you enjoyed the video!
It is not. I am a huge Resident Evil fan. Since I was 9 years old. The key is the story. And I am aware, that the story telling of Resident Evil is not the best, but my issue is with Ethan, Mia and the supernatural aspect, which ruined the franchise for me. At least the new games. I bought and played every game, I could put my hands on. Except 7 and Village. I will never ever touch those games just out of principle. If they would have another name, I would appreciate and probably love those games. But not when they are called Resident Evil. I just love the legacy characters and am invested in THEIR stories! I have no interest in a characterless and basically faceless guy, who has the emotional capacity of a brick. I have no connection to him or his wife. I do not care how well the horror was written in Village, how spooky it was. That is not the heart of Resident Evil for me. And again, I playe these games since my early childhood. If they will not bring back the original characters more, I will give up on every new game. Capcom won´t see a penny from me. Regarding the Remakes, I buy everything and play everything till I drop. So yeah, this is no rebirth to me. It is a disgrace!
Hey Réka, I am thankful that you watched the video and I can in some capacity resonate with what you mean. Every franchise departs from the established course but in this case Resident Evil created a spin-off. Chris was IN the game at the end. He had his own dlc and played a pivotal role in Village and had his own playable chapter. Seven and eight intertwine with other games in the franchise and connected various dots and answered a lot of questions by also giving an opportunity to tell newer stories. And honestly Resident Evil 4 remake happened because Village was a success, plus they are continuing with the main characters we have loved since the birth of the franchise. They also never abandoned them in their cgi movies. The criticism is valid, and Ethan’s story is now done but if it wasn’t for Seven, newer players might have been hesitant to give resident evil an opportunity after six. I hope you can see some positive things in this game. Thank you once again!
Hey Forrest, I can comprehend why you may not enjoy them but I hope the future games satisfy you. It is truly disappointing when a beloved franchise, be it any deviates from its established course.
I can resonate with that sentiment but the franchise needed a new direction and in my opinion first person seemed more immersive to give Ethan’s perspective. I am glad they did not incorporate it in the remakes though. Thank you for watching buck!
It's a perfect pile of rubbish. It would be much better if RE7 and RE8 were part of a new franchise, and not make the situation worse for the Resident Evil franchise, which was already bad with RE6. RE 6, 7 and 8 are made of the purest diarrhea.
Actually nah, this game is a perfect example how to not "rebirth" some seires. Basically abandoning everything that gave soul into the franchsie in the name of "returning to its roots". Resi 7 its not only the worse re game as its a huge step backwards to the franchise, that the franchise still struggles today to step back to
@@bepohal I do, I followed this franchise for years and played every main resi game. And I can assure thar re7 is really the worse game that doenst get the series essence really well. Its like a mortal kombat game with nothing but violence and forgetting all the other aspects

The song's refrain, "Go tell Aunt Rhody that everybody's dead," takes on a chilling meaning in the context of the game, as it can be seen as a reference to Eveline's destructive influence over the Bakers and anyone who crosses her path.
2) Symbolism in the Lyrics
First, Aunt Rhody: This could be interpreted as a figure who represents the corrupted matriarchal figure which is Eveline herself, as she controls and ultimately dooms the Baker family.
Second, “Everybody's dead": This line reflects the fate of those who come into contact with Eveline. The Bakers, once a normal family, are transformed into grotesque, violent versions of themselves due to her control, effectively making them "dead" in a metaphorical sense.

So, "Go Tell Aunt Rhody" sort of serves as a thematic anthem for the game, encapsulating the tragic downfall of the Baker family and the malevolent presence of Eveline, while also contributing to the overall unsettling atmosphere that defines the game.

I agree 100% RE7 and RE8 are not Resident Evil games. They are the only two that I had to watch people play because I couldn't finish them.
Hey Forrest, I can comprehend why you may not enjoy them but I hope the future games satisfy you. It is truly disappointing when a beloved franchise, be it any deviates from its established course.
Exactly my reaction when i saw RE4 in 2005. Thus I would argue that nothing after RE:CV was an RE.
Trash take
In my opinion it's not the perfect return to form. Revelations 1 was already a return to form before Biohazard 7, and is in my opinion better.
his character model is so Trash lol but i like the character as a protag
7 just didn’t feel RE to me. First person just doesn’t fit the franchise
I in parts agree with ya, re7 its just not fitting in the franchise while it began the worse phase of the franchise that re4r is trying to revert
Its always a nasaly voice
Actually nah, this game is a perfect example how to not "rebirth" some seires. Basically abandoning everything that gave soul into the franchsie in the name of "returning to its roots". Resi 7 its not only the worse re game as its a huge step backwards to the franchise, that the franchise still struggles today to step back to
😂
seems like you have no certain grasp on that franchise. RE7 is on of the best RE games there are. probably started with RE4 i guess, lol
Oh yea, RE6 was so full of soul 😂
@@bepohal I do, I followed this franchise for years and played every main resi game. And I can assure thar re7 is really the worse game that doenst get the series essence really well. Its like a mortal kombat game with nothing but violence and forgetting all the other aspects
And uh... yeah? Full of soul like any other resi game besides re7@@SirChadofWick
Finally a retrospective video without the corny sense of humor and stupid rap music edited in. Purely just a retrospective video 👌🏽
