after you have your pinion in check the preload , then adjust the preload on the side bearings , checking with the pinion nut again , add 7.5 to 10 inch lbs to the initial preload of the pinion..thanks tom..
very easy ! check preload on the pinion after its in the 3rd. install the carrier and again check by using the pinion nut , how much higher the preload was than the pinion is the preload on the carrier.. piece of cake..
