Silicone and a gasket is redundant. Silicone can let a gasket slid and squeeze a little till it tears. Gasket is totally fine if you remove any burrs. Allowable on some components to use black trim cement and glue the gasket down then let it dry completely before assembly. If you glue it put it on the punkin so it's easy to remove with a biscuit gun. Two flat surfaces require paper gasket OR silicone. Two surfaces with a groove or grip rail uses a DRY cork gasket like most auto transmissions.
@@onetransmission7871 gasgacinch is not silicone. Please pay attention to what I asked/stated. Many top manufacturers and racers use gasgacinch and put it in their install instructions. Where I learned about it, not make it up. Some require 2-3 light coats on new gaskets before the install with cure time between each coat.
From my understanding, a Fel-Pro p.n. 2302 gasket with 1/32" thickness does not require RTV sealant. Anyone use this gasket, and do you use sealant?
I've used all types of felpro without rtv. No leaks at all. They know what they're doing when they design these gaskets.
Ever hear of coating the thin paper gaskets with gasketcinch? Works great and keeps them from sticking on removal. My 2 cents

Hmmm nice video but most regular people would need to R&R the 3rd member when the housing is in the car.
Hey guys, will powder coating the housing cause any problems as far as spacing for the third member?Thank you
Looks like Anthony has done that before.
Just a couple hundred times.
Why is it called a nine inch?
ring gear diameter is 9 inches
RTV WITH A GASKET, WHAT A JOKE. AND WAY TO MUCH RTV ANY WAY. WHAT A JOKE!!!!!!
