Alexa, I can absolutely related to what you shared - ever since Joel & I started creating content on RUclips last month, I feel excited to jump out of bed in the morning. I joined! You actually really inspired me to go for it and seek out mentorship and it’s already changing things for me in a big way! You also inspired me to just post more… and I did a 5-day series on my channel that is popping off!! Not only is that series doing super well, but the next video I posted on my weekly schedule - yesterday lol - flew past 1k views in one day! It usually takes a couple days for me to get a few hundred views so this is proof to me that the flywheel is turning and something is working!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I love this, Alexa. It is so what I believe. We are here to share our true lights; when we do, our lives are much better. And yes, being happier does mean that our sex lives get so much better - which is such an indicator of happiness. My life has SO improved since I started doing RUclips, and when people ask IRL, they just don't quite understand why I am so much more engaged with my life. Thank you!

totally agree with you on jumping before you’re ready! I’m starting my press on nail business next week and it’s hard because I’m in my head about them being good enough to sell etc, but if I wait until I think they’re perfect I’ll never sell them 😂 plus I know I’ll learn so much now if I just jump in and get started and get feedback from other people. Now I’m excited to just go for it and I’m sure it’ll all work itself out eventually! ☺️

This is so inspiring! I think that I too was in that kind of slump, just having a hard time to getting motivated.
Slumps seem to represent times in our life where we are in need of change but not taking the leap. At least that has been my experience. Is a sign change is coming or needs to come. 💜

I’m really happy to hear that RUclips is giving you positive results, and it’s great fun listening to you share your journey. Since I started being more active in June, I’ve gained around 400 subscribers. I’m really enjoying RUclips, especially the editing process and seeing the final product come together. Very inspiring! Conversely I think I know one of the reasons I’m not growing my channel as fast it’s because everything is changing around me and I have to deal with the admin of setting up a new business, travel admin as I am in the middle of a crazy “tour” of the US, in fact right now I have to physically go to the bank to get my replacement debit and credit cards because of all this changing counties hassle! 😅😅😅😅😅

I used google sheets. Pretty easy to use, however if you want the spreadsheet you can gain access to it in the skool community (Creator Boost Tribe) it's free to join. Many other freebies in there as well. xoxo

Monetization (hour counting) starts from today and goes back 365 days, so if your older channel or one that you haven't posted on in a while is still getting views. Those hours you have racked up within the past 365 days from whatever day you look at it, goes towards monetization hours. Hope this makes sense.

I wonder what your coach thinks about these sponsor deals. To be honnest I have the feeling they are not paying enough and the most important thing, they are not honest. ( at least the one that you showed the contract from). If they are saying that they want to make it organic, all they are saying is not to mention that it is a sponsor deal, which is illegal in most countries and therefore I think it is violating the terms of service of RUclips. So be careful and discuss this with your coach.
With regard to hire an editor, I am wondering if you already tried out Davinci Resolve. The reason I am asking is that it is not the easiest Video editing software to learn, however it is very productive software. It is designed to work with fast production in mind. There are a lot of ways to save things and use or make templates. So, if you do a talking head video then you nearly only have to paste your footage in the template, do some minor tweaking and you are done. All the repetitive work can be automated. Most RUclips gurus advice you to at least know a bit about editing before you let somebody else take over. The editor will also use professional software like Adobe or Davinci Resolve. So, if you know at least the basics then you can change minor things yourself before you publish.
Yes I agree on the sponsorship stuff. I had a whole 5 min discussion that I edited out of this video talking about how they are not worth it, but the video just seemed too long so it was something that got cut. I will ask him what he thinks about sponsors. 👍 but I have a feeling he will think they are a waste of time. 😅
@@AlexaSaarenoja Well, sponsorships are really worth the effort because for a lot RUclipsrs they are the main source of income. However, the sponsors that you will come across in the beginning of your career are looking for cheap ways to sell their product. They want to profit from you because they know that you don't know yet how much real sponsors are prepared to pay. The real sponsors wait however until they are confident that you have a loyal following that you can convince to buy their products. The real good deals will follow.
