I will endeavour to follow your lead and be vulnerable although it is extremely scary. I know I'm an empath and care deeply about EVERYONE even those who don't know who I am or will never know. When I started watching your channel I did see you had a talent. Although you told everybody you are just an ordinary mother, I did notice that you were not the usual beginner in the way many people start their YT career. Look back at old videos of e.g. Mr Beast, or even Sean Cannell and you will see the difference. You were already a big energy ball that was presenting with a certain passion and authenticity. You really loved what you were doing and that showed off. That is at least not what I see when I watch most other people that start a YT channel. This caught my interest. I try to learn YT and I guess I have seen all the usual tips that most channels give. By now I have a pretty good understanding about all the technical stuff and even things like scripting, building a storry etc, is well known to me. My struggle is presenting. Although I am pretty convinced you are not going to teach me very much technical things, you are miles ahead of me when it comes to presenting a story. Later you told us that you have more then 10 years experience in teaching and that explains of course a lot because that is what you do on YT as well, only for YT it is recorded. This time I stopped the video at 9:35 and I was wondering, should I really finish this video. What you were telling is far, far away, what I would usually watch, and I was staring at the paused video for at least 10 minutes, but it could be longer. Then I realized that the reason I was watching your video was not because of the details in the story, but the way you presented the story. The energy was back, the disarming smile was back, the emotion was back, the love for making the video was back. That makes the difference between this video and just another video about talking about profit and click trough rate and those things. I was reading the comments and that is what was resonating with other people. That is the secret sauce in your videos. Your authenticity, your emotion, the energy, and your smile. Everybody can say that you have to believe in yourself, but when you tell it, I believe it. That is your strength. I am pretty sure there are people that you can help with video's about making thumbnails in Canva. I am sure there are people who need advice that is repeated so many times on the internet, but those are almost cliches compared to this story. I am happy that I watched the whole video. Not that I can relate to blobs and cube people, or flying to higher ground on dinosaurs. It is the way in which you tell your story that is interesting. I agree with you that should be the main focus of your channel. That is what gives you energy and that energy resonates with the people that watch your videos. People want to be inspired by you.

@@AlexaSaarenoja Sorry Alexa about the way I sort of misuse your channel, but this way your channel is incredible useful to me. Yes, I use you as a scientist who would observe his subject. You just started and you have some succes, while many others don't have that succes so early in their YT journey. That means you are doing something right that others don't do right or at least not in the same amount. Of course I want to understand what that is. I want to know why that video took off when you were just speaking your mind and were walking up and down that road. The technique was not incredible, the sound quality was not perfect, despite of that, the message clearly resonated with your audience. So, I started to watch your channel and of course I saw videos that were not so wel received and videos that had more views. I think the videos where you spoke out of passion, where you showed your emotion, even if it was just a smile, where you encouraged people to just go for it, were by far the best videos. Your statistics show that I am right. You gave me a long video so I will give you a long reply 😉 My first video is now ready. It is uploaded to another channel, and it is invisible until I have a few videos. I am working now on my second video and it is about the YT algoritme. To understand the algorithm, you have to understand humans but you also have to understand video. Of course you also have to understand that not all humans are the same. That is why we don't like the same videos. You can basically cut up a video in all its elements and everything in a video can be an element. So, to give a few examples (the list can be literally endless) The colors that you use, the tempo of the video, the clothes that you wear, the story that you tell, etc. etc. All these elements could be valued positive or negative. That is of course not an on/off switch, but somebody can really like a video about AI so any video with an AI topic gets it interest. Other people like gardening, etc. Then there are of course also countless elements that are not regarded because the viewer does not care or did not even notice it. So, if I would try to put that in a simple equation it would look like this: Video element x user appreciation => value If you add all these values together you know if that particular viewer likes or dislikes a video and in what amount. This is also why I disagree with statements like "gear does not matter". The person saying that should have said "gear does not matter to me". The technical quality of sound and video does matter. It matters only to some people more than others and it is just one element of the total video and it is most of the time not the most important element. It is however a "free" element. What I mean with that is that the camera and microphone is still expensive, but good quality audio and video is almost never disliked by people so it gives you appreciation points every time (although the amount of appreciation depends very much on the viewer). And as we saw with your audio, it does not have to be expensive to improve the quality. Just speaking at the right side into the microphone gives a great quality boost. 😉 People should also stay close to themselves. IMHO you have a clear talent in motivating people with your heart and your passion. I might have a talent in analyzing things and explaining that. Both useful talents that can result in great videos. If I try to make motivational videos I would most likely fail. If you would try to make videos about very technical stuff, then chances are that you would fail as well. And of course, you can't fail if you like what you are doing, but if you also set a goal to earn a certain amount of income you might fail to get that income. If you stick to yourself, and you do what you do best then I am convinced it will give the best result. Therefore, I would think it is time for you to pivot a little more to motivation and presenting in front of a camera (a lot of people struggle with that) then just answering questions about Canva. But don't just follow my advice. You are a member of Sean Cannell's community, ask people there what they think. It is better to follow the advice of a group of people then to follow the advice of one person. One more personal succes I want to share with you. I mentioned now endlessly that I struggle with presenting in front of a camera but two days ago I managed to make a take and it was good enough after the first recording. Usually, I need a huge number of recordings before I think it is somewhat acceptable, but this goes better and better every day (since I record every day) and two days ago I nailed it in the first recording, so I took my wife out to a restaurant to celebrate that. 🎉🎇🎈

Thank you for this special video! I agree with all you say regarding the ‘woo woo’ thing! I am a homeopath and did my dissertation on lucid dreaming so I know that dreams are always coming from ourselves to show ourselves how to be whole and happy. I’m here on RUclips showing people how I do my portrait art, I show people for free, I know that there are many people out there that will benefit from the sheer joy of creating something if only they could find their ‘thing’ . I learned that whatever we do as kids and loved, is our way forward in life to stay happy and content. My viewers are low still but I know the few people that like what I do are benefiting, that’s good enough for me, I know my viewers will grow. I’m not going to fall into the trap of making content that will get more clicks, it’s not what I’m here for, I need to be happy doing what I do and although I could make videos that will attract more people I don’t want to make those types of videos. We all need to stay true to ourselves and our viewers will always feel that, and anyway it’s easier! 😊

I don't see bubbles or auras. I just get a feeling. I can tell, even from a distance, if a person's energy is positive or negative. It has protected me from negative people for most of my life. I feel totally connected with you, perhaps because in part at least, of your positive energy. I'm not a church person, but I am very spiritual. Definitely thought-provoking and inspiring.

I'm a rootworker trying to resurrect my practice/join the 21st century after a series of *massive* (and devastating) life changes over the last 10 years. Last year i went looking for an old friend and colleague, who is a shaman as well as a rootworker, for a professional consultation about myself. I'd become convinced, for reasons i can't explain, that i really needed his help. I felt like, in trying to put all my pieces back together, i found i was missing some, or they no longer fit the way they used to, or something - the familiar "fixes" weren't fixing. I felt i needed a different perspective, and i knew i could trust him, having worked with him before. (I'm slow to trust workers who don't come vetted from someone who's a known quantity to me, because of the insane pettiness and energetic f*ckery that I encountered after i brought my services online and started to meet clients and colleagues from all kinds of backgrounds and places, realizing i could no longer assume we had a common regional/cultural baseline, vocabulary, and worldview, plus i had been naive about how many basket cases and outright scam artists are out there). I had never worked in any kind of shamanic modality before, didn't even know that much about it, but i became convinced that i needed his help to figure this out I was immensely disappointed - honestly devastated - to discover his website was offline and he hadn't been on social media in a while. I poked around and decided he could well be in Central America hanging out on top of some mountain with a medicine man and some goats and no wifi, or something like that, and so i sighed, resigned myself to continuing to fake it until i could make it, and basically gave up on that whole line of inquiry. So I've been spending gobs of time on RUclips trying to learn about it and get a sense of whether this is something i can manage after my self-confidence took such a thorough beatdown and i basically lost the plot. I have been staying on the muggle side, focusing on learning about lighting and niches and the yt ecosystem and such. So i NEVER, EVER expected to see this shamanism business pop up in any videos I've been watching. This is a trip. And now i'm wondering if i gave up too soon once I saw that I wasn't going to be able to consult with my old friend and colleague anytime soon. So thank both of you for opening up about your "woo woo side" here :) i think i might need to hang around a while and check things out.

Because you're a spiritual sensitive weirdo like me 😂 If you hadn't made this video, you would have essentially been hiding behind a mask, and the people who are on your wavelength wouldn't be able to find you! I must tell you that the side of the spiritual world which you are moving in is extremely dangerous. 🥹 my prayer for you is that you will find Truth in Jesus Christ. So many New Age practitioners and shamans, blood witches and all abundance of such are coming out of deception into truth and I pray that for you. Please do not feel offense. Someone told me recently something I was doing was very dangerous for me and I thanked them for telling me the truth, even though it hurt to hear. As a follower of Jesus, I am called to warn others when they are being harmed, something that sadly, you won’t ever hear from the world… You can and would do far more powerful and amazing things through Christ…seek Him and ask that He show Himself to you if you doubt me. I had to show myself over the weekend. Did a video on my car permanently breaking down and my anxiety kicking in high gear. I used my car for my income. Video was mainly for the Twitch crafting communities I am close with and asking for help. Boy, did they come through! I also was able to calm down and form a loose plan to work out of this. Me, the hardhead actually asking for help before it was too late for help. So, yes. Be real and be authentic. Thats what reaches people.

My book is exactly about that. I share my experiences first for half the bill then the second half I teach the reader how to do it. But the basics are - I play a drumming track on my headphones, head to the woods, connect with my heart and then either visit the lower or upper world via mentally imagining myself falling down a hole or climbing up a mountain,tree,etc. I go with an intention in my heart (ask for guidance on this or that) and then I wait and see where it takes me. 💜

You attract who you are. Love it. And there's nothing wrong with that. Being an empath and introverted and having sight. I got a STEM degree to be able to free this side of myself. Plus..even though Finland is less what you're talking about, you did move to the perfect introverted place with such access to nature.

These are all very good points that you learned on your journey’s. For me for RUclips and my husband’s and my husband’s business, it’s normal to go up and down, kind of like riding the waves! Thank you for sharing these words of wisdom. We also need each other to grow, our smaller RUclipsrs need to be able to lean on each other to grow! I really enjoy watching you, you come off so real and authentic. I’m so glad I found your channel Not sure if anyone has told you , please don’t take this as a negative. When you talk and have a transition like slide to the right or left,it’s not beneficial to your video it’s kinda feels out of place. If you want interest change the location of your camera or get a second one so you have a side view ect… Sean on think media is a great example he does it like a lot to add interest almost a lil to much but I find it better then a random swipe transition. I thought I be honest and let you know. I will watch regardless, I really enjoy watching you and can’t wait to watch all your videos ❤️🫶🏻

When I started watching your channel I did see you had a talent. Although you told everybody you are just an ordinary mother, I did notice that you were not the usual beginner in the way many people start their YT career. Look back at old videos of e.g. Mr Beast, or even Sean Cannell and you will see the difference. You were already a big energy ball that was presenting with a certain passion and authenticity. You really loved what you were doing and that showed off. That is at least not what I see when I watch most other people that start a YT channel. This caught my interest. I try to learn YT and I guess I have seen all the usual tips that most channels give. By now I have a pretty good understanding about all the technical stuff and even things like scripting, building a storry etc, is well known to me. My struggle is presenting. Although I am pretty convinced you are not going to teach me very much technical things, you are miles ahead of me when it comes to presenting a story. Later you told us that you have more then 10 years experience in teaching and that explains of course a lot because that is what you do on YT as well, only for YT it is recorded.
This time I stopped the video at 9:35 and I was wondering, should I really finish this video. What you were telling is far, far away, what I would usually watch, and I was staring at the paused video for at least 10 minutes, but it could be longer. Then I realized that the reason I was watching your video was not because of the details in the story, but the way you presented the story. The energy was back, the disarming smile was back, the emotion was back, the love for making the video was back. That makes the difference between this video and just another video about talking about profit and click trough rate and those things. I was reading the comments and that is what was resonating with other people. That is the secret sauce in your videos. Your authenticity, your emotion, the energy, and your smile. Everybody can say that you have to believe in yourself, but when you tell it, I believe it. That is your strength.
I am pretty sure there are people that you can help with video's about making thumbnails in Canva. I am sure there are people who need advice that is repeated so many times on the internet, but those are almost cliches compared to this story. I am happy that I watched the whole video. Not that I can relate to blobs and cube people, or flying to higher ground on dinosaurs. It is the way in which you tell your story that is interesting. I agree with you that should be the main focus of your channel. That is what gives you energy and that energy resonates with the people that watch your videos. People want to be inspired by you.

@@AlexaSaarenoja Sorry Alexa about the way I sort of misuse your channel, but this way your channel is incredible useful to me. Yes, I use you as a scientist who would observe his subject. You just started and you have some succes, while many others don't have that succes so early in their YT journey. That means you are doing something right that others don't do right or at least not in the same amount. Of course I want to understand what that is. I want to know why that video took off when you were just speaking your mind and were walking up and down that road. The technique was not incredible, the sound quality was not perfect, despite of that, the message clearly resonated with your audience. So, I started to watch your channel and of course I saw videos that were not so wel received and videos that had more views. I think the videos where you spoke out of passion, where you showed your emotion, even if it was just a smile, where you encouraged people to just go for it, were by far the best videos. Your statistics show that I am right.
You gave me a long video so I will give you a long reply 😉 My first video is now ready. It is uploaded to another channel, and it is invisible until I have a few videos. I am working now on my second video and it is about the YT algoritme. To understand the algorithm, you have to understand humans but you also have to understand video. Of course you also have to understand that not all humans are the same. That is why we don't like the same videos. You can basically cut up a video in all its elements and everything in a video can be an element. So, to give a few examples (the list can be literally endless) The colors that you use, the tempo of the video, the clothes that you wear, the story that you tell, etc. etc. All these elements could be valued positive or negative. That is of course not an on/off switch, but somebody can really like a video about AI so any video with an AI topic gets it interest. Other people like gardening, etc. Then there are of course also countless elements that are not regarded because the viewer does not care or did not even notice it. So, if I would try to put that in a simple equation it would look like this:
Video element x user appreciation => value
If you add all these values together you know if that particular viewer likes or dislikes a video and in what amount. This is also why I disagree with statements like "gear does not matter". The person saying that should have said "gear does not matter to me". The technical quality of sound and video does matter. It matters only to some people more than others and it is just one element of the total video and it is most of the time not the most important element. It is however a "free" element. What I mean with that is that the camera and microphone is still expensive, but good quality audio and video is almost never disliked by people so it gives you appreciation points every time (although the amount of appreciation depends very much on the viewer). And as we saw with your audio, it does not have to be expensive to improve the quality. Just speaking at the right side into the microphone gives a great quality boost. 😉
People should also stay close to themselves. IMHO you have a clear talent in motivating people with your heart and your passion. I might have a talent in analyzing things and explaining that. Both useful talents that can result in great videos. If I try to make motivational videos I would most likely fail. If you would try to make videos about very technical stuff, then chances are that you would fail as well. And of course, you can't fail if you like what you are doing, but if you also set a goal to earn a certain amount of income you might fail to get that income. If you stick to yourself, and you do what you do best then I am convinced it will give the best result. Therefore, I would think it is time for you to pivot a little more to motivation and presenting in front of a camera (a lot of people struggle with that) then just answering questions about Canva. But don't just follow my advice. You are a member of Sean Cannell's community, ask people there what they think. It is better to follow the advice of a group of people then to follow the advice of one person.
One more personal succes I want to share with you. I mentioned now endlessly that I struggle with presenting in front of a camera but two days ago I managed to make a take and it was good enough after the first recording. Usually, I need a huge number of recordings before I think it is somewhat acceptable, but this goes better and better every day (since I record every day) and two days ago I nailed it in the first recording, so I took my wife out to a restaurant to celebrate that. 🎉🎇🎈

Thank you for this special video! I agree with all you say regarding the ‘woo woo’ thing! I am a homeopath and did my dissertation on lucid dreaming so I know that dreams are always coming from ourselves to show ourselves how to be whole and happy. I’m here on RUclips showing people how I do my portrait art, I show people for free, I know that there are many people out there that will benefit from the sheer joy of creating something if only they could find their ‘thing’ . I learned that whatever we do as kids and loved, is our way forward in life to stay happy and content. My viewers are low still but I know the few people that like what I do are benefiting, that’s good enough for me, I know my viewers will grow. I’m not going to fall into the trap of making content that will get more clicks, it’s not what I’m here for, I need to be happy doing what I do and although I could make videos that will attract more people I don’t want to make those types of videos. We all need to stay true to ourselves and our viewers will always feel that, and anyway it’s easier! 😊

I'm a rootworker trying to resurrect my practice/join the 21st century after a series of *massive* (and devastating) life changes over the last 10 years. Last year i went looking for an old friend and colleague, who is a shaman as well as a rootworker, for a professional consultation about myself. I'd become convinced, for reasons i can't explain, that i really needed his help. I felt like, in trying to put all my pieces back together, i found i was missing some, or they no longer fit the way they used to, or something - the familiar "fixes" weren't fixing. I felt i needed a different perspective, and i knew i could trust him, having worked with him before. (I'm slow to trust workers who don't come vetted from someone who's a known quantity to me, because of the insane pettiness and energetic f*ckery that I encountered after i brought my services online and started to meet clients and colleagues from all kinds of backgrounds and places, realizing i could no longer assume we had a common regional/cultural baseline, vocabulary, and worldview, plus i had been naive about how many basket cases and outright scam artists are out there). I had never worked in any kind of shamanic modality before, didn't even know that much about it, but i became convinced that i needed his help to figure this out
I was immensely disappointed - honestly devastated - to discover his website was offline and he hadn't been on social media in a while. I poked around and decided he could well be in Central America hanging out on top of some mountain with a medicine man and some goats and no wifi, or something like that, and so i sighed, resigned myself to continuing to fake it until i could make it, and basically gave up on that whole line of inquiry.
So I've been spending gobs of time on RUclips trying to learn about it and get a sense of whether this is something i can manage after my self-confidence took such a thorough beatdown and i basically lost the plot. I have been staying on the muggle side, focusing on learning about lighting and niches and the yt ecosystem and such.
So i NEVER, EVER expected to see this shamanism business pop up in any videos I've been watching. This is a trip. And now i'm wondering if i gave up too soon once I saw that I wasn't going to be able to consult with my old friend and colleague anytime soon.
So thank both of you for opening up about your "woo woo side" here :) i think i might need to hang around a while and check things out.

I had to show myself over the weekend. Did a video on my car permanently breaking down and my anxiety kicking in high gear. I used my car for my income. Video was mainly for the Twitch crafting communities I am close with and asking for help. Boy, did they come through! I also was able to calm down and form a loose plan to work out of this. Me, the hardhead actually asking for help before it was too late for help. So, yes. Be real and be authentic. Thats what reaches people.

My book is exactly about that. I share my experiences first for half the bill then the second half I teach the reader how to do it. But the basics are - I play a drumming track on my headphones, head to the woods, connect with my heart and then either visit the lower or upper world via mentally imagining myself falling down a hole or climbing up a mountain,tree,etc. I go with an intention in my heart (ask for guidance on this or that) and then I wait and see where it takes me. 💜

Not sure if anyone has told you , please don’t take this as a negative.
When you talk and have a transition like slide to the right or left,it’s not beneficial to your video it’s kinda feels out of place.
If you want interest change the location of your camera or get a second one so you have a side view ect… Sean on think media is a great example he does it like a lot to add interest almost a lil to much but I find it better then a random swipe transition.
