I always appreciate seeing this style of yacht. It seems more like a cozy cabin a family could really use versus a luxury home with white carpet and white couches you can't touch.
IF I can ever afford a boat it would be a trawler yacht style, probably a semi displacement hull, and it would be my full time house. With this one being under $500k it looks like a great price for the boat.
This yacht is the definition of classy. Everything in this boat has so much class to it.
During this time of uncertainty, and unease, you bring me a few moments of escape.
You’ll be just fine, Rocket Man! 😂
I always read the name as
'Kim Jog- On'. 😬
It is always a pleasure when Nick has posted another boat review. I never get tired of watching them as here are such a wide variety of boats, and they each bring something different to the table. Thanks Nick for another fine tour.
Thanks for watching!
There is something very comforting and therefore appealing about a trawler yacht. You really feel you and family could live full time on board and travel the world. Great value too.
I must admit, these owner-manageable trawlers are my favourite type of boat. I have watched Mr Fleming's videos on his RUclips channel of all his adventures he had with his Venture and Venture 2 and honestly, I can hardly imagine a life more perfect than being able to take your family for a few weeks to go discover remote coasts. If a couple can work remotely, with internet being accessible via satellite globally, a life like this would be my idea of perfection.
Only discovered these videos a few days ago... but already addicted lol.
It happens to everyone who finds them ~ LoL!
Welcome.
There's no known cure, you can only treat the condition by watching every new video Nick ever makes. But fear not, you're not alone.
Welcome to the club mate!
Yup, you're now trapped forever, no help is coming, just 200,000 fellow Aquaholics, a bag of dreams and a constant yearning for a teasing view of 'Maggie the baggie'. 😁
Congrats on the near 200 thousand subs Nick. Wont be long before 500 thousand. Proud to be part of your journey. Another great boat for us to view. Thank you for Keeping me entertained. Love from Canada.
Thanks for coming along! :)
True, it only seems like five minutes ago we were watching the 10K subs "thank you" vid.
I'm enjoying the late night video releases too. Another reason not to go to bed when I should. :P
Cup of tea, biscuits, and Aquaholic sets my nights up perfectly
For a moment I thought you were going to say “look at this beautiful toaster they have in the guest cabin” 😂
That Crane was a great piece of design and engineering 👍
This ship is a dream . Beautifully built ,quality all the way.
Great walkthrough!
I watched this channel once, forgot about it, found it again and now i'm addicted.
Thanks for the heart! oh and by the way, could you do a review of the AB100 Yacht? i think it's a Beautiful boat, even thought i can't afford even a £100.000 yacht :)
So glad to see a broker that always shows the engine compartment ! unlike so many that are too lazy or afraid to show what is in the engine compartment .
I'm not a broker, but I'm glad you're enjoying the videos 🙂
Ah yes, wonderful tour. My eyes are attuned to see more modern and elegant interiors but this is very vintage and fresh. It's nice to have something a little different.
Glad you enjoyed it!
When you walk through the door into the salon of that boating I only had 1 word for it and that was wow
This is a very excellent boat. A great example of great Grand Banks quality.
Hi Nick. A long awaited tour of a classic American Trawler. Timeless and seaworthy. Beautiful interior. Well maintained. Great video thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice this and the Hardy 50 you recently did are my kinda boats. All that nice wood work and practicality.
Trawlers are my favorite boat style. What a beautiful boat! Thanks for the tour!
My pleasure!
A nice tour Nick 👍 Having always liked Grand Banks as far back as the 60’s I found this especially interesting. A good ‘live aboard’ boat.
Without meaning to sound negative I was surprised there were only two cabins on a boat this size and the differing levels inside with steps all over the shop. She looks a little dated but I think that’s actually part of her charm 😁
it looked a grand boat , very sea worthy , love all that wood inside , makes it look very cosy .
Remind me of the 36 foot GB my dad and his business partner had in the Mediterranean in the late '60's,early 70's. The cabin table used to drop to make a double bed and there were 2 singles in the forward cabin. A double in the master. No TV, galley was in the living area and I think the only electronic screen was on the depth finder. There was a radio and cassette player fitted I seem to recall, mind you I was l4-17 when I holidayed on it and am 62 now. Was a good boat to get seasick on even in mild seas. Nice to see one for the memories though. Thank you Nick.
Now that's a boat with a big reputation, classic styling, I like it.
Thanks Nick, another spot on review.
Glad you enjoyed it
"If it can survive The Grand Banks of Newfoundland - it can go anywhere." I paraphrase an old Grand Banks advertisement. They were the envy of every boat owner in the era. Looks stout enough still, to take on the North East Canadian Atlantic and come out slick as a whistle. Ahoy maties - oops. What a fine boat. Stoutly built. Handily laid out. Well appointed. Seemingly bargain price as well - especially if the rib is included. Thanks again, Nick...
9:09 I'm impressed by the sailboat to starboard - that looks very nice
My cousin has same kind of x sail yacht
Totally not my type of boat, no train today, still compelled to watch it start to finish. How on earth do you make me watch them all? Good stuff Nick thanks.
Nice looking boat. 🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥🛥
LOVE Trawlers. Range + luxury = perfect boat.
This is much more my style than your standard tours. Love the variety that you bring to your channel
Glad you like them!
Can't get enough of these videos.. I long for a boat... hopefully next year I'll start looking for a Jeaneau Merry Fisher.
Incredibly spacious boat for this price! Also I love the helm and steering! I love the fact that it's all so original! Thanks for the great vid!
Glad you like it!
I love the interior on this yacht. The woodwork is quality. I like the cozy layout, esp the Galley being in the same area, but the slightly lower to give the illusion of a seperate area. Brilliant visibility via those huge windows. A lovely master cabin. I like the engine room access inside. A nice classic looking trawler yacht. The flybridge is bigger than I thought it would be.
Beautiful boat. Love the rear owner’s cabin! The table in the saloon looked gorgeous. Definitely a fine boat that I could have fun on. Another great walk through.
Very nicely kept up, and a real beauty! And pretty reasonably priced, too!
OK that’s it.....I’m getting a polo shirt with “ I’m a fan of Maggie the Baggie” yet again another fine performance by her.....lol
Another brilliant and well presented tour Nick. Always a pleasure to watch, and of course the cheeky wave. Excellent.
Glad you enjoyed it
I would love your take on Fleming 58 or 65. Stunning yachts. This one was also nice. Very traditional. Good job as usual.
There is a Fleming 58 tour on the channel
@@AQUAHOLIC I will search for it! Thank you
Thanks for another great video. I've been inside a 47 foot Grand Banks Europa. My only little critique comes from the fact that the basic layout they have in these 47 foot models are extended from their earlier 36 foot models and they work really well on that scale too. So I would think extra 11 foot would give you an extra cabin or a social area. I really love the old 36 foot models. It would be great if they still made those with modern technology.
It’s called a Beneteau Swift Trawler 34....
Nick, These trawlers are nice. I like them. They remind me of the Blue Nordhavn 60 in the boat yard you reviewed a while back. LOVE that boat Nick !
5th aquaholic video in a row tonight
I was almost skeptical walk-in up to this one but man I was wrong...this is a classy feel and has everything u need...turned out loving this one thanks nick
You're welcome :)
They are amazing yachts, the woodwork is always amazing on them
A real classic boat.
Lovely boat with nice wooden interior. Love the cabins. Great helm too. Great tour Nick !
lovely boat , perfect
Beautiful.....Just wish it had a bunk bed cabin for extra guests.
It is always good to Mr Holic tour of something a bit different, I have to say not up to my liking but a good solid boat for the rougher parts of the sea.
Ahhh a trawler, my grandfather had one (not an aft-cabin), thing was solid wood everywhere, beautiful. We were out one night time about 30 miles off shore and a vicious storm hit, we had no weather reporting like they do today. Thing was a tank as we chugged along in zero visibility (using wipers was a joke), even unable to see the wave height but you knew from feel it was plenty bigger than the boat. We were all impressed with his navigation skills to get us back in by compass.
A "feast of teak" indeed. A lovely boat. Keep em coming Nick, including the special houses.
Will do!
Great tour! The mirror waves are becoming standard proceedure.
Wow she is gorgeous, I'm so glad you managed to get on and show us around, as always, great job. 👍. I'm discovering that I have a wide range of tastes for boats lol, from Princess to Nordhavn to MTI to Riva and now Grand Banks. Luckily my imaginary bank accounts means I am able to take them all out on the seas whenever I feel like it. 😁. What an excellent channel. ❤️
I am the same way! Though with Nick's guidance and a lot of watching other videos I have now leaned towards the displacement hulls or semi-displacement (dual mode) hulls since my goal would be full time living and cruising (gotta watch the fuel cost and range).
@@emeraldmorningmist nice goal to have, mine is purely lottery win daydreams and Princess S78 lol. Aquaholic helps with those daydreams. 👍
It would break your heart to have to part company and sell her ... pure quality, Thanks Nick for tour.
You can't beat a good warm wooden interior, decent size to all area's plenty of light coming in, I do like the shape of the whole boat again solid and with good torque from the engines.
Nick very rugged and tough looking has a deadliest catch vibe very well maintained
Really like these trawler style boats..kapow..lots of teak..love the owners cabin ..very spacious on suite..
Very cool, always have a soft spot for trawlers
Lovely craft, we had a Eurobanker very similar to this but a bit smaller. The dining room table also folds out to a perfect chart table size.
Nick fantastic work as always! I am the one that Told you to bring a grand banks yacht hahah. I should say that i prefer the GB EUROPA but this one is beautiful as well! Keep up the good work, we salute you from Venezuela!!!
I do enjoy your tours of trawler yachts Nick. My favourite type of boat. 👍🏻😁
Cheers,
Tom in Canada 🇨🇦😉
Glad you like them!
Was about to go for 40 winks, but notification bell rang and I clicked with a thud on my keyboard, a superb look at this fine trawler yacht. Thanks Nick...
Some yachts have surprisingly bigger interiors than they look like having from the outside. This one is surprisingly smaller than it looks.
Ikr....
yeah it's kind of the opposite of the Nor-tech 80 video 😂 still nice though....
So true. For 47 feet I was hoping to see a small third cabin lurking somewhere or at least a killer engine room but got neither. Nonetheless a beautiful boat that is built for heavier weather than the average human can take.
It has a big saloon and a big galley. You can get another option with a smaller salon and a smaller galley up with 3 state rooms. Not many yachts in this class have a master aft cabin as big as this one as well. Grand Banks definitely centered this one around the aft cabin with the big closet.
An interesting boat with some beautiful features. With such big engines, it's a different philosophy to Nordhavn and I think Nordhavn would make a better go anywhere adventure vessel however I can see why these boats are so popular with people more interested in sailing and exploration rather than speed and posing.
Traditional look isnt my preferred style but still a work of art. Thanks, Nick for the great tour.
Thanks for watching!
Have a safe blessed night! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
20-25 knots? I never would have guessed that speed. I bet you get 1000 mile range backing down to 10 or so. Another great look!
If I do manage to get a boat I will give you a ring, you make all boats look and feel so special I love your videos!
Thank you :)
What a beauty.
good to see you getting sponsors
Would be awesome to see how boats like her take on angry waves at sea. They look like they would take a beating and keep on ticking.
Great tour again, as always, Nick! Lovely bit of kit and looking forward to the next one!
Always liked trawler-style yachts. There's just something more serious about them. Don't get me wrong, I love the styling of say a Sunseeker 52, but to me, a fun weekend on the boat is about leisurely roaming the coastlines, not about getting there as fast as possible (although impressed with the engine specs on this one). Great review -- thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching
Don't forget this is a trawler style. It can still push 25ish knots. At least on most of them.
Very nice traditional boat. The crane is clever.
This might be the perfect full time live aboard boat. That's my dream.
Great Tour Nick, one of my favourite Boats so far!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love the way they maximise every bit of space under stairs etc
Really love your videos! Thank you for all the great tours!
Hi Nick and Maryanne.
Love a good trawler yacht. More of this style if possible!
Finally early to one of these bc normally its 4 am in Los Angeles :)
Really enjoy these tours Nick - the sunshine in Devon always cheers me up and your relaxed nature makes them easy to watch. Nice boat, definitely a more classic design and sharp contrast to the high glitz of modern super yachts and quite possibly all the better for that.
Glad you like them!
Hey! I just love your guided tours on different yachts, but I would absolutely love to see more sailing yachts in your show such as CNB, First, Swan, Najad,, Hallberg-Rassy, and maybe even a Mirabelle. Please try to cover more sailing yachts in the future.
Sincerely.
Very nice.
Lovely boat Nick, it reminds me of the faster Hardy only finished at a much more pleasing quality.
It's massive. Fantastic.
I really love the whole trawler yatch style, it really appeals. I find it odd though that a boat with such off shore pretensions has such a low range. That is the style of yatch I'd want to explore the oceans in.
Anyway, enough of my deluded dreams, and my 'can't afford a oar' bank account. Awesome tour, maybe a little light on engine, generator, tech stuff. Awesome back drop. Thanks Nick. You are the best 👌 💓 xxxx
Very much reminds me of an old Moonraker I knew in a previous life.
2:40 "we'll come back to the aft section AFTerwards"
how fitting
Great tour Nick beautiful old lady this is very well looked after for sure thanks for sharing this 👍👍🇨🇦
Glad you enjoyed it
excellent stuff, more trawler yachts and long distance cruisers please
Je ne me lasse pas de ces vidéos qui font rêver.
This beauty reminds me of a fishing/ lobster boat.
Quite like these trawler yachts, interesting little boats 😀 (the Swift Trawlers are nice aswell) Great tour!
Great tour as usual Nick, Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it
Another beautiful classic looking yacht. You're hard pushed to beat a wood interior like that.
Only thing I didn't like were the lack of windows in the forward cabin level with the bed,I'm guessing they would be below the waterline?
That wouldn't stop you having some serious cruising in great comfort though.
Great tour as always, thanks for sharing.
wow love it i see why you have so many fans
Thank you :)
Great classic trawler! Still trying to figure out the toaster in the forward cabin. Great tour as always! Bravo!
It's great to see how especially the friendly people tend to thrive with their youtube channels. Keep on keeping on good Sir!
Thanks, will do!
You almost managed to sway me away from a Fleming, but only for a minute. 😁
I have a fondness for trawler designs/grand banks boats, and their solid build which can last forever if well maintained, and have friends who travel the globe on one...no problem! Not a huge fan of the aft cabin layout on this model, but it does have it's advantages in more northerly climbs. Really enjoyed this review Nick, keep them coming!
Aquaholic at midnight is a great combo
