That bit with the train made me smile - your passion for boating and trains is heartwarming and really cool to see :)
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@AQUAHOLIC Steamaholic channel coming up! ;-)
Had me yelling at the screen, uhh I wanna see a train, glad you delivered.
@@AQUAHOLIC steamholic
I haven’t seen a steam train many times, but I love them
I'm in love with this boat!
Someone who takes themselves a bit too seriously might have done a second take. I absolutely LOVE that you just rolled with it and enjoyed the smashing distraction...
It was great! Love how genuine he is. Go with the flow. :)
I noticed that, too and thought it was an excellent touch leaving that bit of magic and friendliness in the video instead of editing it out! Before mentioning it, the scene was immediately recognizable from your house video... and the change in perspective -- perfect!
The one thing I dislike about this boat is the lack of mirrors. It means we get less Aquaholic waves 👋.
This boat is seriously nice for the price. I could almost see myself living on it! Thanks for the tour Nick.
Iive where? Mooring it costs how much
Now that you mention it Ethan, I don't think I've seen any rear view or side wing mirrors on any of the yachts that Aquaholic has show cased. xD
4:48 is one! Made me smile
I wait for the finger wave in every video when passing a mirror just right. Makes me smile every time.
When you talk about going away on this for a few months, I'm like, oh no, I'll go away on this for the rest of my life!
I don't own nor do I ever plan on owning a yacht, but I probably spend more time watching your videos than any others. Thank you and keep it up
Great to hear!
Why not tho??
Me too! Watch all of your vlogs Nick.Keep up the good work.
Nick- "'That's the steam train"
Me- Immediately starts a comment asking if that's the one that trundels by the house that was recently showcased.
Nick- Reads my mind.
You are not alone with this... *same here* 😆
Always nice to open youtube to be greeted with a new aquaholic video.
There's been lots of luxury lately but this what I like, real deal ocean cruisers. looking forward to the next Nordhaven
I can't even afford a house let alone a boat, but I still find myself clicking on every single new video Aquaholic posts and watching the whole tour! Another great vid.
Glad you like them!
Same here :) !
I can't get over how nice and polite he is
That's how he gets access to all those superyachts. His manners are impeccable, and he is just an all-around nice man who seems to have a positive outlook and enjoys what he does.
Wow! a mini SPADA Nick? £425,000 ...
Hmmm, if I sell the house, and the cars, and the Caravan, and the motorbike, and Mrs goes on the game ...
Er, I still won't have enough ... Humpf. But thanks for the tour!
I’ve watched all your videos and as soon as I heard the train whistle I knew it was from one of you previous video about that home. I love how you showed the train too instead of deleting it.
The coloring on the outer hull of this Hardy is beautiful. The helm is excellent with the suspension seats (usually see those in over the road haulers) and its general layout; small, efficient and has the perfect cup holders for my mug of coffee and some water. Now this is a boat (even from 2007) that I’d buy if that were possible. Another great Aquaholic style video!
Glad you like it!
My Grandmother was from Dartmouth, and I got to go visit her family there over 30 years ago. Caught crabs down by that harbour with my Great Uncle (my wife loves when I tell people that). Thanks for the boat tour and bringing back some memories.
Check out my River Dart walk video! :)
What a treat. That’s so cool you got to see the steam train.
Now that's a proper yacht. Thank you for the tour.
I really love this kind of ships, it screams "let's go there and everywhere " and not wait for favourable weather conditions in the marinas. The two chart tables make it clear that this is not a typical leisure yacht.
And again an excellent review that only can be done by Aquaholic. A good and interesting review is not only about summarizing the specs, performance and details. There is much more than that in boating, and you show that with a little trainspotting. !
I love the trawler style boats. This one has been maintained and cared for very well it looks like.
That marina looks beautiful! Always love to see a hardy! 👍
It really is!
There we go Nick, a nice hefty boat. 6 knots all day, half way round the world.
When it comes to serious boating, there's nothing like a trawler.
I think I urgently need to visit this idyll.
Beautiful, the place to be.
Check out my Kingswear walking tour
Seeing and hearing the lovely steam train was an unexpected bonus. Thanks!
putting that heater in the engine room speaks volumes for the owner and the care that has gone into the boat ; we went round a hardy 50 at one of the boat shows in Southampton beautiful bit of kit .
Love you Aquaholic!!! From Aussie😉
What a lovely vessel, nicely Grand Banks-esque.. I really do like the internal F/B stairs, something I wish I had on my boat.
Got a classic style Grand Banks coming soon!
@@AQUAHOLIC really..very much look forward to that!
Every time I think I might have been converted to something fast and more "showy", a video with a boat like this or a Nordhavn comes on and I'm de-converted. The idea of a boat you can fuel up, stock with supplies, then just sail away for months on end is extremely appealing. And this one goes like the Millennium Falcon by trawler yacht standards too!
I love these types of boats, very unique and homey. I think I like these 50’ to 60’ better than the 100’+ ships.
It's amazing that this channel has managed to keep uploading brilliant content during the current times. Keep up the great work!
Thanks, will do!
Lovely boat! - thank you Nick (also loved seeing the train especially after seeing that house!)
Really Proper !! I noticed there were NO squeaky floors !! Great little " fast trawler" !
The Princess beside you man.... thing of beauty, love those boats. Cheers Nick for a great review
Princess 55 I believe - a full tour of one on AQUAHOLIC of course!
One word describes this boat for me, "Class". What a truly beautiful boat. Lovely high back lounge in the Saloon area which you don't often see.
Hardy by name, Hardy by nature. Love this Trawler ticks all the boxes for me. Proper craftmanship, Interior doesn't look like its come from a flat pack, classic lines, just beautiful. Thanks for the vid Nick, Awesome.
I was thinking.....oh, a wonderful little slow speed cruising boat......goes up to 30 knotes......ups. Hahaha
I'm glad you showed the train
Always convenient to have an internal ladder to the fly bridge. Love the woodwork with the blue accents, very shipshape.
“Anna-Momma-tuh” for the windspeed measuring device Nick! (Anemometer)
I knew I had it wrong..! :D
Never thought I would see you here Dave! Although the more I think about it the more it makes sense!
Oh helloo. Wot, getting bored of canals already? I love how all boating people stick together, even though they sail ⛵ in different crafts. All the best to you. Keep safe. Will keep watching your channel also.
Not Anna-Man-O-Meter……….?
Hello mate 👍 🛥
Absolutely brilliant blue water boat! So versatile and perfectly liveable on for extended periods! Loved the steam train and steam boat interludes too! Lovely part of the country.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely love this boat, and it isn’t too expensive (for a 50 footer)!! Also it’s amazing that you are able to get this many tours in these times 😀. Thank you!
wow , what a beauty , that's my kind of boat , old but beautiful, & still looks elegant , & looks a very strong boat too . nice to hear & see the steam train , brilliant . 👍 😉
Many memories of riding on that train from family holidays in Dartmouth.
As lovely as all of the luxury yachts are, there's a rugged charm that boats like this Hardy exude. Somehow I think I'd enjoy owning this Hardy more than a Sunseeker of the same size.
I love an insanely over the top opulent super yacht, but there is something about these "mini ships" that give them a cool factor you don't often see. There's something about the utilitarian, and go anywhere capabilities of these tough boats that really makes them stand out.
"That's is a steam train. Do you want to see a steam train? 'Course you do, who wouldn't?"
The man knows his audience.
Hi Nick. A Hardy definite go out anytime boat, used by lifeboat training and with trawler luxury. Practical, safe and long term, long range boating. Great video. Thanks
Now this is a boat. Seaworthy, practical and strong. Cat A. My kind of boat. I don't really get on with the opulance of the super yachts so I just love this. All I need is half a million quid. Sigh!
A beautiful boat or rather, as you say, a small ship. Perfect for exploring the west coast of Scotland.
I always love this the trawlers and classic boat vibes they have!
The boatiest of boaty boats! What a beauty, i need 425,000 quid now. Thank you for the lovely tour and greetings from Poland, Nick!
Hey there Poland!
Nice looking boat. I can easily see living aboard her for quite a while. And loved seeing the steam train mentioned in the house tour, chugging by a couple of times!!
The only thing I didn't catch in this (if you mentioned it) was an idea of the range? What I love seeing most is the explorer and live-aboard boats, so this Hardy 50 was right up my alley, just like the gorgeous Nordhavns are. But, of course, this one didn't seem as well equipped for duration away from port as many of the Nordhavn vessels, (I always notice their extra capacity for supplies and freezers), so I'm imagining that the fuel capacity and thus range was also lesser?
Keep up the excellent work. Your channel has been an absolute godsend this year. Vicariously exploring boats and dreaming of exploring the world living aboard a boat has been the perfect antidote to isolation and social distancing, so thank you. Your videos have helped keep me sane (or at least less insane than otherwise) when cabin fever strikes.
My kind of boat..... The weather isn't always good and this is the any time of the year boat. Great walk through Nick and good to D see the steam train too 👍👍👍
Here in Atlantic Canada we would call that a lobster yacht.
You go catch some lobsters with it?
@@user-re9gj2zd5e no they turn lobsters fishing boats into yachts.
@@trevorfillmore698 this particular boat? I thought lobster boats were fully displacement.
I never thought I would like a boat like that until you gave the walk around! 👏✌️
How lovely is that place? Marina and a steam railway, that house would be a great place to own
What a beautiful boat man i absolutely adore this ship. She is pure joy for any man. Man i want to sail the world in this boat.
This is literally the harbor from Thomas the Tank Engine on the Island of Sodor,(The Thomas theme kept on playing in my head during this video) I love it, and I want that boat. It's a real explorer.
That is a great blue water boat. 30 knots is an incredible speed for a blue water cruiser. I know you've done a few Nordhavn's Nick but it would be really cool if you could get to do a walk through of a Fleming. You always do great videos.
There's a Fleming already on the channel :)
@@AQUAHOLIC Thanks Nick, I need to go search for that. Funny how I have missed that as I have seen pretty much every video you have made.
Great soundtrack in the background
Love those Hardy's, elegant yet purposeful, like the nordhavns
:-) almost 200k fans/followers! Finger crossed to reach this next goal!
Only 19k left!
Wish you 200k in 3 weeks from now ;-)
Thank you! :)
Love it, love it. The older ones have all the charm and character. You could imagine reading a book or watching an old movie in the living area on a rainy Afternoon.
a very interesting boat with a load of character you don't normally see in the boats/yachts you tour .... but i wouldn't like to sail on here in the north Atlantic in the winter .... thanks for sharing this yacht with us .... and if you living in London and the South of England it's a much cheaper/affordable option than buying a home
That is a lot of boat for the price! Very nice little ship.
Since discovering your channel some time back in January, I've come to enjoy the variety of boats and yachts you show us here. I know I'll never be able to afford any of these yachts, but it's still awesome to get to see them inside and out.
Having said all that, this yacht is truly different from ones you've toured in the past, but still clearly very well-maintained by the owners. I don't know what it is, but the wood, the light carpet and the dark blue pillows all seem to compliment each other perfectly.
On that note, stay safe Nick, and I'll look forward to seein' you again in the next tour video.
Nick, you are a gem of a human. The anometer or whatever it was you were pointing out cracked me up...I have no idea what it is, but you're the person that always points that stuff out, and I'm so happy you do. EASILY one of the best channels on youtube in my opinion.
You’re very kind 🙂
This is one of the nicest layouts I've seen of this style boat. Love how open it all is.
I love these shiplike boats, way better than some modern sportyachts
Boats and steam trains, do Tuesdays get any better?
Thanks for that. Agree with Ethan, this is a nice boat for the money, nice family boat. Nice steam train and boat as well!
Thank you for the tour Nick. That is one serious, fantastic and immaculate vessel. Moored in one of the most wonderful UK locations. Have done the round robin trip steam train to Paignton, bus to Totnes and river boat back to Dartmouth. Takes a while but well worth it.
What a cool place to live. I’ll have to visit when I come to the UK for the first time. 🚂
This is a straight up ship.
Indeed a very interesting boat. For crossing the seas a boat to consider.
Kings wear beautiful place would love to live there
I can't afford a house, let alone a boat, or even a car, (at the moment) but if i were to receive a lump sum of serious money, this boat/ship/yacht would be my retirement home. Go see the world, and enjoy my journey to get there. Love bit of kit indeed. Absolutely love it, and very practical for the "what's the weather like, who cares, I'm gone" type of sailor. I want it. Thanks Nick for a lovely tour. 😉
couldn’t had enough yacht tour videos, you’re absolutely the perfect man for the job. Your video is indeed the most interesting one to watch for buying references. I can’t find any yacht review videos that are as thorough as yours. keep up the great work :)
Glad you like them!
I see aquaholik - I like it.
Great to see you're sponsored!
Wonderful presentation amd a great boat as always
Thanks!
I'd have this one but I'd change the name if I could haha. In my perspective, I want to say it's kinda similar size-wise and in other ways to the Broom 450 you did, but just more of a fishing vibe version. Also, good to get to know about the semi-displacement hull and that it's in between the two, I think that's probably the kind of boat ride I'd like - I'm a compromise man with many things.
I love just how liveable this boat seems. I could easily imagine living on it full time.
Haha nice timing with the scenic view a steam train and a boat tour to top it off
The old fashioned towns of the English Riviera + a stream trains creates a wonderful setting.
Edit: Christ, the size of those engines.
Always rated Hardy there is a distinct shape to the hulls. Another solid one very seaworthy and comfortable liveaboard.
Oh no, what a beautiful ol`school Yacht. I get down on my knees, by this beauty, so very much wonderful! Fore this 425K´s is it almost a gift. Spezial thanks 2 you mate for the explanation this beauty♥
Was a couple of weeks in Australia, much 2 do there, smile. They don`t whant me with 59 years to live there.
Some of the charms of these videos, is Nick showing other nice things that happen to pass/drive/float by.
Laurel would like that boat immensely. Joking aside what an awesome vessel. Norwegian Fjords here we come. As an aside, and not surprisingly, when I looked at the estate agent site, the Magical house was under offer. (An Anemometer...Try saying that after a few bevies.)
Great review as always Nick. One side note, these boats have a DC generator which feeds the domestic batteries and in turn, the three inverters. This provides a higher AC current output than an AC generator could of that size. Making it easy to use the electric oven/hob even at anchor as there is no gas onboard, very clever by Hardy. It also means you can draw more AC current onboard without overloading the shore power, which can only take 16 amps when docked.
I always love trawlers, thanks Nick
Oops, steam train! I love how genuine you are and explain the sound in the background. Lovely. And this is a lovely boat and affordable. Would be a perfect boat for "normal" people. :)
AWESOME - My Kind of Boat - Thanks for presenting us this Beauty
Glad you enjoyed it
Great to see a Hardy on Aquaholic. She is a fine vessel.
I really like the semi displacement boats you have done. You get the low fuel consumption of displacement and if you need to hurry back to port you can rev the engines and go planing. I would love to see you do a Nordhavn 59 coastal pilot if possible. One of the things I love about the 59CP is the engine room access and getableness of everything, even for bigger guys.
Well, geez, now I want a tour of the steam train _and_ the steam boat! This is definitely a boat for someone who isn't afraid of rough weather. :)
Absolutely without a doubt my favourite boat! The timber inside made it feel a bit dated, but I wouldn't care. I fell in love as soon as I saw the outside...I've been waiting for something like this and you haven't disappointed as always. Thank you so much.....mind running the engines for 10 minutes would empty my bank account, hehe.
Pasiphae!...your presentation style is much more fluid now. :) Also found this, must be terrifying to see this thing coming at you like a gun boat! ruclips.net/video/C22CoV2Gzj0/видео.html
You know you’re an Aquaholic when you check the page every day to see if there is a new video! Great video as always.
Great again Nick. I just love these more traditional craft. You'll now be having people wanting you to ride the train and point out the sights of interest on the way.
I just can't help but think of Poirot when I hear a steam train.
Otherwise, very nice boat and tour!
LOVE this boat. The design and layout is wonderful
