I know you didn't anticipate the nasty part of the weather, but she rose to the challenge of the sea and wind conditions and kept you all safe. She just keeps going on, on, on and on. A gusty Lady of the Sea.
Nice to see a proper test of a boat. No passing through the wake of the camera boat here. Good to see Hardy has taken on board the thoughts and comments of reviews from Hull no. 1, I thought that boat looked too dark and had the feeling of being cramped. A nice design of saloon etc with comfortable live aboard style sofa's and a very well laid out master. Good job all round.
Thank you for the great review. Love Hardy boats - great design details, but can not get past fiberglass hulls. Thinking rocky shores of Minnesota's lakes and rivers
I believe that it would be very good if you would be able to make your usual test drive with Azimut Magellano 25M as it is superb very modern design trawler style boat. However as always it was pleasure to see you testing this boat on rough seas.
I've seen catamarins take force 10 wind conditions without any problems. And also Nordhavans. Whats the CE rating on this one? Whats the max range going between 8 & 10 knots?
@@MotorBoatYachting something we never find out is the thickness of hulls on boats, GRP ones in particular. Would it be possible to mention them in your videos, and compare stringers between brands?
Can I point out something if my memory is correct? The Prestige 580, 630? Bigger engines, with a SEA-KEEPER GYRO and I think I'm right in saying cheaper? Be great if this boat has bigger engines against its competitors.
The bigger the engine the more fuel it burns. You get a higher speed and a higher burn rate but the ROI isn't worth it. 5 to 10 knots extra per hour but double the fuel costs. Personally I'd stick with the smaller engines and keep the fuel savings in my pocket.

I honestly thought this boat would have took this weather I'm sure disappointed that you could not try as this says to me she cannot handle any kind of weather.not a good start to tell me oh yes it can stay the coarse so for that reason I would not even think of trying or buying this boat brand

A darn Shame they just went bankrupt April 2020 . Boat deserved to be a success but I don’t think they had the money to really promote it , outside of Southampton boat show it never appeared at the big European shows .
I wish there was more clips of the Hardy 65, but there aren't so I have to keep coming back to this one. It's a beautiful boat.

It is a beast of a ship and have beautiful classic lines
Love the layout! Dining in the galley is perfect, well done!👍✌️
well done, nice to see a real test in those conditions, no calm seas like we always see
Hope to see more out of season tests, hopefully the builders will be up for it.
Now that's what I call a proper test...
Love these videos. Please consider doing a "24 hours with the Aquila 44".
I'm no captain but that really seems to be a well thought out boat.... Head height in the engine room is just one that springs to mind....

Hardy really do seem to have come up with a stunningly capable and stylish boat. Could maybe do with underfloor heating on the flybridge though?

Do they still make the 65ft hardy boat and how much cheers mate for a great video thank you
Hardy were one of the victims of COVID-19, sadly - they went bust a few months ago 😞

are you comparing sport yachts with a cruising boat? Hardy is designed to cross rough waters, sport yachts aren't really meant to do that.
The bigger the engine the more fuel it burns. You get a higher speed and a higher burn rate but the ROI isn't worth it. 5 to 10 knots extra per hour but double the fuel costs. Personally I'd stick with the smaller engines and keep the fuel savings in my pocket.

How would you compare this to Nelson Dale or Aquastar? especially the hull is little different from the other two..
You went on the flybridge in your socks..☃️❄️
Mooi schip 🎉
Nice boat. 20 knots cruise and it would be a great boat.
What kind of range are we talking about?
Great post, very nice looking rig. Whats the approx. range with her?
Brits and snow! Best combination for entertainment
I hope he tidied up the lines and stowed the fenders properly!
Should've come to Guernsey, much better and nicer sailing than to bloody Poole! That boat could've easily done that trip
Fantastic video and boat
Great video watching you from san Fransico:-):-):-):-)

that is a good looking boat! This is 2018, any update for 2020/21?
They nearly went bust earlier this year, but have been bought out by Cockwells: cockwells.co.uk/cockwells-acquire-hardy-marine/
Very nicely laid out yacht, boat test a little flimsy, you go outside the breakwater get a little green and run back in :-)

better to be on land wishing you were out at sea, than out at sea wishing you were on land . if was force 8 in freezing conditions
