Think most of us remember the Fairline Targa 34, that’s what they should have built , a new version of that, they would have sold bucket loads of those
Hugo would it be possible for you to get your camerman right into the bathrooms and accommodation more clearly when doing these short takes. Would be nice to see more of the internal bits and pieces! Thankyou
What would a boat like this cost to run and maintain? I feel like this is something a pair of working professionals could afford after a bit of saving, but, what's the untold story you know... On a side note, money no object, so to speak, if they made a roughly 37 or 38 foot version of this boat, I would be willing to give up a bit of performance for the extra space and potential for it to be a proper weekend boat for a couple of couples.
Lots of people saying this boat is overpriced etc. It's only over priced if you can't see the value in it for yourself. I don't appreciate jewellery so never buy it. It's ALL overpriced to me. I'd spend my money on a boat over a car every time because I'll use it at least 3 days a week all year round loving every moment.
Why in the name of Christ would you not put cabin windows in but make it look like you have? Thats literally the worst of both worlds. Each to their own I guess, but that boat does absolutely nothing for me
@@Attitude-Media thanks brother. He had a sense of humor about it and would do some funny things with his prosthesis. Such nice folks around on RUclips today. Brought my spirits up some.
Really don't see the point of this boat. Get fried in the sun with no roof. Rocks about at anchor so having a bbq in the sun on a rocking boat has little appeal. And you definitely would not sleep on it. Why bother? If you want speed, agility, turns and jumps ... get a jetski.
@@deadbydawn2249 How did your critical thinking deficiencies take you to that conclusion. I bought a boat with a roof ... it just wasn't that lame, poorly thought through boat. Clearly you're not a boater.
John Smith: Sadly the other purchaser is a piss taker, a much appreciated British trait... My boat has a cover-ish but yes our next one will have a lid on it. I have to say it really is a monumentally expensive (and large) Phantom 21 (if your memory goes back that far).
Beautiful design outside, helm area questionable lack of view and support especially when standing up and using the fabulous performance if your looking for a sustainable 45/50 knots . The cabin area is extremely disappointing. Who would want to sit inside with no natural light. questioning why the design to look like and not have the option? especially with a price tag of around 400k .
Did you just say £400,000? Actually, that's not the surprise, what is the surprise was the use of the word "attainable" in the same sentence. I'd better put in a few more shifts of my £10 an hour job.
Don't see why it looks like such an issue to you. It is all right for occasional overnight stay. Outside of sleeping I would not spend much time on the lower deck. After all it is a day boat not a cruiser.
@@bobnator1102 If it's a day boat why does it have sleeping for 4? My point is that I would be uncomfortable, claustrophobic and also concerned by lack of outside visibility.
@@robc3863 sleeping for 4 is just a result of being able to fit a separate cabin, so why not give an opportunity to transform the dinette table into another double berth just in case, I doubt it will ever be used. I also probably just a bit more comfortable with enclosed spaces, so I see no difference between a small porthole and nothing.
To be fair it is a highest possible spec as fa as I could find out, and price goes down a lot with smaller engines. More reasonable spec with diesels and without the drop down platform is around 300k. As far as somebody I know closer to the project explained to me the idea is to be able specify anything between high quality mid-range day runabout to all-in statement piece. Also much controversial absence of portholes may change with model year upgrade although not confirmed just yet.
It is. Think if you and your spouse were both say engineers making 80 to 100k a yr which is perfectly reasonable, if you save 15k or so a year between the two of you for a a few years you'll have a solid down payment, finance the rest, and have the boat of your dreams, so to speak. I do think 400k is a lot for this size boat. 270 seems much more reasonable, but, it is attainable. Think of like a 2 or 3 million dollar yacht, even working professional couldn't hope to buy something like that. That's more than most couples would make in a lifetime.
Helm seat looks crap. Need to go back to their older Designs. I think builders should not get reviews done until they have finishing building it. Hearing this still need to make mods means it was a rushed project. You need a gimbal on your camera. Bring back Nick you boys have lost it. Not a great review at all
You could get a nice cruiser for 400k even then 400k could buy you a cigarette a lot more fun for your money. If I'd seen this at a brokerage wouldn't want to spend more that 20k even at 20k you could get a nice cruiser..... You really aren't getting much boat for your money fairline you're just paying for the badge unlike a few years ago I think today I would rather buy a princess.
Thanks so much for this review, Hugo. I can feel the enthusiasm. What a thoroughbred!
Good job you mentioned the sad lack of missing windows! Thumbs up on that!

Nice boat, great performance okay a bit pricey but can see this doing well in that niche market

You have a hard job Hugo lol.
Superb styling, who designed it?
I feel sea sick just by looking at this and the water is seemingly calm :D
No windows in the cabin. Bad chairs and bad view in the cockpit.
Easier to write that than the long list of things you loved yes?
Shorter hair looks good ! Nice boat yet it rolls a lot.
Those who complain have to check up the price of Princess R35 and Riva Aquariva

Good luck getting to the bow to handle lines without falling overboard
There is an optional railing system.
if you lean on your back, can you reach the steering wheel?
Sorry lads I’m getting old! Did he just say 400k shit, that’s may to much!
Yeah it's pretty up there for a 33 footer. I mean it's top of the line luxury and build quality, but that's still a hard pill to swallow.
He said 400 pounds that's more like 550K US
We should back British boat builders with any new models is ok with me

400k seriously, no person in their right mind would pay that.
Ian Shelton why?
Richard Territt because it’s a weekender with no windows?..
The kind of people who buy this probably don't worry about the cost. Looks like fun boat to own and probably not your only boat.
