    A 12 year old full of surprises - we ARE talking about a boat? Totally a comfortable live aboard with lots of extra room for guests. But, this boat is like buying a pickup truck (stay with me) - somehow ALL your friends know and ask you to "haul stuff" - for FREE (favor). Well, once the news gets out you've got THIS boat, you'd better head for the "Med" quick - or all the bunks will be full all the time (at least you'll know you have friends). Great boat - thanks Nick...

    I think that engine access is pure genius! It allows the ability to check and service without disturbing the upper deck area or having to expose yourself to the elements by entering from the outside. The viewing window is also an important feature as well as a true watertight door. Brilliant!

  • @Mataiodragon
    @Mataiodragon 3 года назад +21

    Thank you for clearing up the range issue. I always wondered why it seemed so low.
    I figured it had to do with how worked the engines were, but wasn't quite positive.

    Mr. Burnham I have been interested in boating on canals and rivers more recently and this as you said looks very suited to that purpose. I appreciate that it has seagoing capabilities as well and thus I also really appreciated the range breakdown. For me the fact that it can go as fast as 25 knots means that you can handle more conditions at sea as well. I really prefer these functional designs over pure style. It does not hurt that the less flashy more practical vessels are more affordable either! Great work as usual Good Sir!

      @@AQUAHOLIC I love the fact you talked through the fuel usage at different speeds, we are on the Thames and have a pair or 260HP Volvo's which sip about 4 litres an hour at river speeds.
      first time we went out past the Thames barrier opened the taps doing 35 knots and used 175 litres an hour and emptied the tanks round to Chatham on the river Medway.
      on the return journey we throttled back to about 22 knots and were using about 80 litres an hour and got back on only half a tank

    Bavaria shipyard has several very nice designed and above all practical boats. They are not attractive as Italian boats but never the less they are of very high German quality and above all their pricing is truly attractive. Nick your decision to use accurate calculations of distance/speed is very helpful because it gives us true picture of what we can expect from boat. Boat owners are usually people over of age and that it means they are more cost concerned than young people who think that boat is for show off which is most of the times very costly. Thank you Nick for this superb presentation and as always you are the best. Take care and all the best from Berlin.

    Mate loved this video. These are the types of boats I grew up around in harbor all day. It brings back a lot of great memories and really reminds me of what a vessel should do. Great job on the range figures. What a great little vessel! Love the wood it really feels like a traditional ship and the rear cabin gives it that pirate ship feel. Love it!

    Your vids are just amazing to see how much fits into otherwise smaller/mid sized boats. On this one I especially like the aft cabin tucked away nice & private, the sizeable freezer & the engine room entry under the stairs. Very intriguing indeed...

    A similiar looking boat docked not far from me this summer and I was curious how the inside might look. Very nice indeed, and very practical as well it seems.

    Hey Nick another great tour and this boat is a real tardis when you showed the second cabin i thought "not bad for a boat of that size" but then you showed us the master cabin and i was blown away and then you showed the engine room (very Harry Potter style with the hidden cupboard under the stairs) but totally blown away by the use of space, Thanks for sharing and peace and good vibes to you and all
