- Power Rangers SPD marks the 3rd time that a season of the show had a space theme. What makes this instalment so cool is the combination of multiple themes from Time Force , Lost Galaxy , and In Space. Most definitely a highlight of the Disney era.

Power Rangers SPD is one of my all time favourite seasons of the franchise
I can see why! So many elements of the show work creatively & the team is cool
In USA, SPD stands for Space Patrol Delta.
In Japan, SPD stands for Special Police Dekaranger.
Both are great shows.

To be fair to Kruger, being a ranger gives people enhanced abilities for fighting and it made Justin big enough to be an adult. so apparently the morphing grid can mess with people's bodies.
Timeforce, RPM and SPD are the holy trinity of power rangers best seasons ever.
If you read the soul of the dragon graphic novel from Boom Studios, you find out that Tommy’s son becomes the new SPD Green.

To answer your questions about how Doggie Cruger can do the things he can do as a ranger in the the most vague way possible, the morphing grid works in mysterious ways...
I mean look at Justin. They turned a child into a fully grown adult in the matter of 3 seconds.

Totally a police drama id watch . If they turned that shit into a real police drama like NCIs but they were power rangers, they'd reboot the franchise in a huge way, pay homage to the old series and get a buncha adults into the show lmfao
The A-Squad turning rogue at the end really threw me off a bit.
Yeah It was kinda quick too. I get the whole inner rivalry thing the writters tried to play up
spd is my absolute favourite season.

I thought SPD had a real great storyline for the characters. Brandon nailed it as Jack and I liked him & Z's friendship. Sky was one of those characters that I couldn't stand in the beginning because of his attitude but started to improve & grow on me as the season continued. I was disappointed that Manx could only last an hour as the Cat Ranger, she was totally badass. I liked each "you want some? It's buttery (wiggles fingers)" when Bridge would eat toast. Doggie was super badass when he became Shadow ranger. Omega seemed to get weaker as the season which is a downer cause I liked him when he first came in. The SWAT mode is definitely one of my fave modes of Power Rangers
One thing I wish PR would do more is keep the colors secret before they get their powers. Maybe even including early marketing. I mean you start EP 1 and you see a guy dressed in red. Oh. He's gonna be the red ranger. I want a season where the guy wearing red actually becomes the blue ranger
Also stop having the pink ranger always be a girl just to fuck with expectations

SPD was a great season; I loved the characters, the concept was interesting, the story was pretty epic! My favorite part has to be Jack; he's a pretty good Red Ranger!
The only thing that prevents this from being my #1 favorite Ranger season (of this era, at least) was Sam the Omega Ranger; yeah, him not having a real actor was dumb, but he still should have been a real character... but he wasn't, as they kept throwing him out of the story and he didn't really do anything... it really sucks because I really liked his Japanese counterpart
Other than that, second favorite Disney series (behind RPM)
Out of all reviews of this series, this has to be my favourite one out of 'em all. Great job!

What I love about this season is it feels bigger universe I like how sometimes is not even on earth I love that Dino thunder came back for 2 episodes

Nawww I wish. The main producer said he wanted to create a new Red Ranger suit for the flash back.
Disney didn't let him due to budget.
So he went and found some older Ranger suits in storage & choose to use the Time Force red. He never knew about Time Force till after everyone freaked out

Jenji? Timeline wise, mystic force was suppose to be a previous series since Piggy mentioned the world will soon be crawling with aliens. You start to wondered where did he come from and how did he get to Briarwood?

SPD Has my fav ranger, the design is just so cool even now it hasn't aged a bit, Im pretty sure everyone knows which ranger im talking about, afcourse its dumb that he's the shadow ranger tho

To be fair, the Super Sentai productions have a much lower budget than Power Rangers. If they'd had the money, they probably would've tried to get something like how Kruger looked. On the plus side, I think the Sentai one was a bit more maneuverable so the morph into Deka 100 is more believable. Also, in Dekaranger, their tech director is Swan (who is meant to be based on a swan; feather things around the ears) but she was changed to Kat in PR - maybe to feed into the love for cat girls? 🤷🏿♂️
The zords were some of my favorite but I agree they forced it putting cruger into that helmet with no explanation
They made a good choice having the rangers capturing the monster's instead of killing them unlike the Sentai version. Because having Rangers committing police brutality might be a bit iffy...

We talk about Doggie being the Shadow Ranger take you out of it makes sense. But having Justin, a child, turn into a full adult when he morphs, in turbo, always took me out of it.
