Whoever was in charge of casting for Time Force hit some home runs. Vernon Wells and Kate Sheldon were perfect choices for the villain duo, Faunt was an awesome Wes, and Erin Cahill needs no explanation
Not just that. They actually made ransik win the fight. No power rangers show apart from might morphin did that. They teased just how powerful ransik is and fulfilled it. Wild Force comes close to something like this but they beat him in the end through bs morals.
This season had themes of Racism, bigotry, revenge, haves and have nots, bitterness, Romance, personal growth, and change the future for the better, and I was able to pick up on it as a kid. Ransik's change hinging on him nearly killing his own daughter, the one thing he actually loves in the world he understandably hates so much, THAT'S GOOD STORY TELLING!

I just rewatch timeforce. It's easily in my top 5 seasons. Making the pink ranger the leader was great. It's definitely the most adult power rangers series to date. Love the movie madness episode. That finale is tied with countdown to destruction as the best finale in power rangers.

I agree with you except for one point. “Jen is the Leader” is the consensus opinion for the fandom. She is great character, she is a Comanding Officer for Tripp, Lucas, and Katie, but she is not a leader. She learns to be a true leader through her relationship with Wes. She is so lost in her loss and grief that at the beginning it controls her. She first meats Wes when he selflessly saves her ass. But she gets overwhelmed when he takes off his helmet. When she goes to get him to unlock the morphers, she tells him that they are from the future and tells him off because he thinks she’s nuts. Then he tries to help and she tells him off for not being his ass of a descendant. Alex returns halfway through and again she just waits for everyone else to do something even knowing he was wrong and being an ass. She never takes the lead when it’s needed, only when she’s emotionally compromised. Yes, she gets up and gets Ransik to chase her where he blasts his daughter and gives up. That was not leading that was luck. She was the most experienced, the commanding officer of their unit. She was NOT a leader. The series goes out of its way to show that Wes is the leader, the voice of reason, and often the heart. He is the one that talks her down and constantly saves her ass.
Marcus, great review but your favorite Weapon is called “The Quantum Defender”. Also Jen is a great character, Erin is beautiful and Talented, but she is definitely not the leader. Leaders no when to act, how to talk to others, and not lose control. She is condescending, mean, ignorant, and runs off half cocked all the time. She becomes emotionally compromised at the drop of a hat. And Wes does what leaders do, to talk her down, even in one instance when she was being controlled by something an ex-partner sprayed her with, a situation that came about because she was emotionally compromised and went off on her own, he lets her wail away on him until he can get his arms around her and get her to start to think. He is the leader, he is actually everything we are supposed to think Alex is.

The only series I've seen that has handled time travel well is Steins;Gate which I can say its a modern classic and I recommend. So good that it got a sequel series Steins;Gate 0

People keep saying the things such as the conflict between Jen and Ransik is handled so well, but the truth is that the episodes which revealed this arc can be counted by my fingers in once. The conflict between Ransik and venon(I forget howto spell)is even more memorable than this "century classic arc" of Jen.There are just a few arcs for Lucas and Katie, so I feel extremely cringe when I saw their faces. The serie also tried so hard to develop Wes and I really feel that he weighted so much In whole serie..I was just wondering whether I am watching kyoryuger...The only thing I liked about this serie is Frax, who is a very realistic vallin. In fact, the issues stated above are not that bothered me. but it indeed magnified since a lot of fans overhyle it...

I watched Timeranger. But I think this is one of the few times, Powers rangers did better than Super Sentai.

Ransik is one my favourite villains such a tragic backstory I wish more ranger villain had more depth like ransik
