- The original Saban era continues with a review of Power Rangers Light Speed Rescue. A season of the show I never really had an appreciation for as a child but now as an adult it worked extremely well with mature characters and themes. Though, once and again the villians are an awful part of the show as usual.

Glad I'm not the only one that thinks Carter is the Captain America of the Power Ranger universe. Carter is a awesome Red Ranger.

They revealed their identities as Power Rangers to the public since the first episode. It was an innovation in Power Rangers franchise at that time.
Definitely a big leap. Felt kinda cool separating them from every other superhero at the time
@@MarcusDigital an while the past few seasons were more Sci fi and tried to combine fantasy with military this one brought it back to earth grounding it so kids could look up to these heroes and I think had the best melding of the ideas choosing to be more about humans vs demons then aliens monsters spirits and robots...humans vs demons always sells and can use religion to shape its narrative which is easier to write
@@MarcusDigital while the galaxy rangers were adults too they are seen as new to adulthood, the lightspeed rangers obviously have already experienced adulthood and are made up of regular everyday heroes.

Even though Amazon's rating for this show is PG-13 it still doesn't have inappropriate stuff in it unless you count the action and drama which pretty much is PG-13 level but the only other thing that makes it PG-13 is vypra and the other demonic villains. A show for adults does not have to have dirty stuff in it.
Regarding Vypra, I'm a big fan. She was the coolest looking villain in my opinion. Acting really isn't a major concern when I watch Power Rangers. I love the campiness of it. When I saw Vypra in her Vypari, driving around like a mad person, firing laser blasts from her Vypari cannons, I was like...BEST EPISODE EVER. I'm currently watching all seasons again, as a comparison, but Vypra...man, it's hard to beat her.

i love lightspeed great season ryan mitchel was one of my favorites *titanium power* he and his sister dana was a great plot also ryan completely wiped the floor with the rangers when he first showed up, and i enjoyed the rangers BEING ADULTS no childesh crap no comedy.. The theme song was LIT one of my top 10 theme songs
Lightspeed gave Joel and Ryan great storylines/themes outside of being rangers as just people that I appreciate cause usually they give that stuff to the red blue and pink rangers maybe even yellow..it was a nice change of pace..if anyone says that Joel Ryan and Carter were not their fave 3 in that order from this season outside their morphed ranger forms, they are lying or not good at noticing good writing not to hate on the other 3 cause I liked them and they had moments but they had less depth usually which is less fun to watch on screen heck Carter was dry too usually..but Joel and Ryan were carrying this season on their backs

Great review as always though I kinda wish you had talked about the megazords cause stuff lifeforce megazord was pretty interesting and unique to the entire franchise and its also a another neat case of American original footage

I've encountered some people who love Carter lol. Part of it is my own person bias growing up. Loved the Red Rangers who weren't the typical leader types
i just find it so funny how the firefighter and one of the least martial arts based and most tech based red rangers so far is the one who just chooses to punch headstrong demons in the face before anything else lol..like wtf...thats so stupid and odd but it makes me smile...the writers did not give a f...it makes no sense with his character...he literally just charges in vs these magic based monsters and expects to prevail

the blue ranger probably was recruted for being an martial arts expert. I felt joel wanted just wanted a date, not sexual hassament.
Did he want a date yes, would he put in an HR office for the way he acts. Hell yes. He lifts her medical gown when she was in the infirmary. He's a creep but he does get better by the end but still

I remember watching the shit out of this particular season on a VHS tape I had when I was a kid. The morphs in this were my favorite out of any.

Hey Marcus Digital I’m thinking what would have made light speed rescue better if they had the lost galaxy rangers powers suits, weapons and zords, and vice versa for the lost galaxy.

Light speed rescue had a phenomenal storyline & great potential. The concept was great & the rangers had great chemistry. However the downside was inconsistent plots. Joel was just interested in Ms Fairweather & she liked Joel deep inside. She just didn’t him a shot until the end, Joel taught us fellas to be patient 😂. I’d give light speed rescue a C+ cuz it didn’t live up to it’s potential since the villains were garbage. Machine Empire from zeo were like family Guy. King mondo is Peter, queen machina is Lois, Prince Sprocket is stewie

Joel is funny as hell, flirting up a storm with that female scientist.
Lightspeed rescue had great concepts with the theme of being first aid responders. Carter being a fire fighter was great. They should’ve made chad a Marine & Joel an Air Force fighter pilot turned stunt pilot “sky cowboy.” I wish that the titanium ranger plot was carried out with him being evil for about 5 episodes & his character training with the demons prior to obtaining the titanium morpher.
Lightspeed rescue had potential to be a great series cuz of its concepts. Lightspeed rescue fell short cuz of the villains & poor execution. It had potential to be an A+ show however I’d grade it a B-.

Carter Grayson Is so handsome Because he look alike the prince with that hair and Dana Mitchell Is so beautiful and She look alike a Princess with her blonde hair and Red Pink. Lightspeed Rescue Is very awesome with Mystic Force and in the Last episode when Queen Bansheera tried to capture Carter in the hell, it's remind Mickey Mouse's Christmas Carol where Pete tried to put Scrooge McDuck in the hell because those scene are Orange like real hell and when also arrives Diabolico to help Carter and the Rangers to tossed Queen Bansheera in the hell, her death remind in Hunchback of Notre Dame where the Gargoyle tossed Frollo in the hell

The villains are so cartooney and cheap they work for this series I prefer the villains in time force and wild force
meh the acting was terrible, it was the Disney seasons in my opinion that brought realistic actors to power rangers
