Yeah, in a car accident I believe. It was in 2001. I only found out a couple years ago when I was curious about what happened to all the original rangers. I was super shocked when I found out about her. :(
In the defense of Andrew Gray (the guy who played Troy Burrows), he's actually a really cool and funny guy. It was the producers who made him act wooden and lifeless because... reasons. Gray found himself questioning several of the choices the producers made, such as the inclusion of Sentai who were never a part of Power Rangers into Super Megaforce. Say what you want about Troy, but all the blame for his character should be on the producers, not on Gray.
Well clearly the reason Andrew Gray was on the list was of the acting. He was technically a model obviously so clearly we really didn’t know how his acting was going to be. Second Megaforce wasn’t really the worst season ever it was bad though, I would think Operation Overdrive was the worst because their acting was god terrible. But Megaforce is probably the second to worst season of the Power Rangers history. If I have to rank which Power Rangers series were the best, Time Force would be probably ranked at the top because of the way the writers did it. The only flaw was not having Wes and Jen kiss at the end of the series. Second probably In Space, third Lost Galaxy, fourth RPM, fifth Dino Thunder. Top 5 in my opinion.
Hardwired To Self Destruct in the beginning of supermega force Jake asks why his suit has changed from black to green and that is the response gosei gives but before being able to explain the enemies start attacking and the Rangers have to leave
"There's a simple explanation for that" - Everything about Megaforce, and everything mystical about power rangers. ... Like most of mystic force... or the extremely confusing ending to Dino Charge... Or the weird mutant Mesogog... Seriously the list can go on. NOT TO MENTION THAT HE DIDN'T WAKE UP DURING ANY OF THOSE TIMES (Dino Charge is exempt because it's basically in an alternate universe, BUT WE WON'T KNOW BECAUSE IT HURTS TO EVEN THINK ABOUT) WHEN HE COUL- you know what? This is getting ridiculous. i'm out. I lost my mind trying to figure out Dino Charge's ending. This just hurts
Divatox being petty, sassy, goofy, and yet the only villain (at the time) to ever even succeeding in defeating the rangers is exactly why I loved her as a kid.
Honestly Vypra was a worse villain in my opinion. Hilary Shepard at least played Divatox, competently enough for a Power Rangers villain. Jennifer L Yen's acting makes Tommy Wiseau look like Daniel Day Lewis.
At least he was smarter to not trash any veteran rangers. And claimed pressing buttons isn't part of the Samurai way. Kevin on the other hands was the worst blue in history. Being a dick to Scott and Antonio saying he wasn't a Samurai because Mentor instructed him to update the zords with modern tech. And Kevin had to go anti modern on Antonio. Man Kevin go fuck yourself.
I think you could also probably include the Jungle Fury suits for the core trio, their Jungle Master modes are pretty good, but the regular suits look like pajamas. RJ and Dominic's Wolf and Rhino suits are cool though.
Kristen Stewart has proven to be a decent if not good actress. I have heard good things about her performance in " The Clouds of Santa Maria." She was also good in "Into the Wild." With the Twilight franchise ( I refuse to dignify it by calling it a saga) you could at least say she tried with the material and direction she was given. Not the same with Andrew Gray.
There's a reason sam is like that. His character was added later as stock footage from Japanese version wasn't available and the casting was already done. So when the writers got this character they wanted to cast a new character but producers didn't allocate any new funds. So they had to do away with him being ball of light.
if you pay attention to the storyline in Power Rangers SPD Sam (the Omega Ranger) is from the future from the year 2040 Power Rangers SPD takes place in the not too distant future of 2025 if they showed Sam in his human form it would mess up the space time continuum hence the reason why Sam turned into a sparkling ball
Yeah dino thunder was pretty good and dino whatever was pretty good and that other one with the robot power ranger that's silver was pretty good, I dont remember the name of the show.
I wouldn’t say it’s the best season but it’s up there. I’d say SPD was better the story was more deeper and well thought out with a lot more character growth.
Well to be fair, the actor who played Troy wasn't given good enough material to begin with. But considering how much of a disappointment Megaforce was, the acting was the least of the season's worries. (Coming from somebody who likes both Super Sentai and Power Rangers)
+Chaz Hartwayne Well, the original Sentai was there, practically handed to on a platter. Yet, they managed to botch up the adaptation. When I mentioned it not being "good enough material", I was referring to the poorly written scriptwriting and overall laziness factor that Megaforce/Super Megaforce offered instead of something that could've been genuinely amazing.
I think Linkara said it best when he pointed out that Justin as a character wasn't bad, it's just that the concept and execution failed. See, Justin was created to attract the kids who watched Big Bad Beetleborgs, as in that show the heroes were young kids. But unlike Power Rangers, Beetleborgs worked because that concept was the basis for the show. Power Rangers using a kid as a ranger just didn't work because the rangers before him had all been teenagers, and thus he felt like he didn't belong.
lol Linkara is a joke. Claiming that Overdrive is trash but Megaforce had it worse. My god the producer Jonathan LazyTzachor is the reason why the writers hated working with him. At least for Overdrive the at least tried. Megaforce had no fucking effort.
But it gave us a Titanium ranger with a cracked helmet. No storyline development. Even the actors said the way Tzachor handled things awful. Andre Gray said in an interview that Tzachor made his character with no character development. And Megaforce gave us Jake the WORST Green ever.
Divatox was funny because she was supposed to be utterly cringey and ridiculous. She doesn't belong on this list with the others, who were unintentionally awful characters.
For the record, none of these characters were intentionally awful. I could go all night about my gripes with Troy and Gosei, but I doubt they were designed to annoy most of the audience.
Tbf in the dimensions in danger 25th anniversary episode of Ninja Steel Wes does explain that a lot of the different ranger teams are from different dimensions (funnily enough its the Disney ones that are all different dimensions) so Gosei wouldn't have been there if it was different dimensions.
Fun fact, Justin is one of the few Rangers that should still have his Powers after the end of their season. So imagine if Justin returned as some sort of Master Class Ranger in a season. Extremely unlikely I know, requires the right writer who could give the right pitch and figure out a way around the Sentai Footage. They could even get by one difficulty by using another actor to play Justin sense it has been so long.
Nova Ranger was in Sentai, but the reason why Nova Ranger likely wasn't included up until the last moment was because her Sentai counterpart (Dekabright) literally only appeared in one episode (the 40th episode of Dekaranger) - she doesn't appear in any of the crossovers that Dekaranger was in, and she didn't appear in Gokaiger's Legendary War.
Rio Kamichika Yeah. I can see Tetsu saying that if he knows his counterpart is just a ball of light. Also, the ball of light thing? Apparently Disney was too cheap to hire an actor for Omega Ranger/DekaBreak.
I gotta say Rocky in all honesty. After his introduction in the series, he didn't really get any character development. He was just there. Not to mention in ranger lore, rangers are given special abilities that allow them to take a great deal of punishment, & yet he has to give up his position as a ranger cause of a back injury, that's later revealed he could easily heal from. The actor himself said he wasn't happy with his direction in the show.
That's what I would had said too and it would had make a lot of sense. Would had also been nice if the rangers incorporate those suits later on in the second season instead of reusing the Zyuranger for one more season.
It’s most likely for marketing, the mmpr suites became a pop culture icon that it would be a bad idea to change the suites early and kept the brand strong till they changed to ZEO
oh yea Mentor Ji Is a bad mentor he only taught Jaiden EVERYTHING He Knows , Gave important Lessons to all the rangers and helped them discover some of the biggest samurai mysteries
I don't think it was sarcasm. Mentor Ji is one of the worst mentors in Power Rangers history. He acted like an asshole for most of Samurai, he took away Antonio's morpher because his daddy ran a fish market instead of being born into a Samurai. I don't think even Master Ji was willing to train or test him... he was not born into a Samurai family and that was that. He thought Jayden "everything" by depriving him of his childhood and he contradicts his teachings with Jayden. He first told Jayden he should not pushed himself too hard and then later in the same episode he doesn't think Jayden is pushing himself enough. Then here comes the situation with Lauren where Master Ji believed he need to help Jayden to find the strength to lead the team when Jayden walked out of his team and instead of explaining things to them to fight beside him. Then he proceeds to take away Mike's morpher believing he was not ready despite several victories. Bulk acted as a better mentor than Mentor Ji ever did...
Troy has two sentai counterparts, and though I can't say anything about his Gosei ranger version, I can say that he is so far departed from Captain Marvelous from Gokaiger
I read that his Goseiger counterpart was also a far cry from Troy: He had a lot of emotion. TOO much of it, though, so he was also catching some flak from fans.
I actually like alata sure from i what I seen his positive attitude might be annoying to some people but he’s still friendly to everyone he wants to help out
Critizising Andrew Gray's acting as if he was responsible for the final product is forgetting that there was a director who he had to hear and follow his orders, all the Megaforce cast said that they tried to rescue their characters through a good interpretation, but Andrew Gray wasn't allowed to smile, I believe he's a good actor and the portrayal of Troy suffered due to the executive producer, not to him.
yeah the teams working on Neo Saban needs to be all fired and hire people who respect power rangers and it's fans. Why did it take a movie just to give us good characters and mature storytelling in power rangers..? you'd think RPM DINO THUNDER SPD TIME FORCE AND IN SPACE NEVER HAPPENED
They did got fired after Mega Force. One specific one is Jonathan Tzachor, he ceased being the head writer and producer of the show and then Judd Lynn was hired back. I am glad Tzachor got fired after how he handled Megaforce... he clearly had no more passion, creativity, or respect for the show anymore. A bunch of good ideas were presented to Tzachor, but all were rejected by him. One of those idea was having Billy back to specifically mentor Noah, but Tzachor believed that to be "too boring". That one really pissed me off since they brought back Jayden and Casey, but not Billy... one of the original Rangers. I think fans would love to have one of the original Rangers back over Casey... and especially Jayden any day.
Exactly, this is the same issue the Star Wars Prequels had. A lot of people hammer those movies but they do not realize that there is a director in the back giving them these directions and actors put a lot of trust in their directors. All the big names from those movies are amazing in their own rights so can you really blame Samuel Jackson for his performance as Mace Windu or Hayden Christensen for his role as Anakin? Hell, the scenes in which Anakin does not speak are powerful moments, yet the awkward dialogue that was not checked because Lucas was a household name and not questioned ruined them. Megaforce and Super Megaforce had bad direction was all. I liked the concept from seeing the Megazords from the Super Sentais, but they were poorly brought over with terrible decisions plaguing them. Thankfully Dino Charge is much better and even though I have yet to watch Ninja Steel, I hope it does well too.
to be fair saban would have never gotten david yost to come back and there never was a zyuranger focused episode in gokaiger so stock footage would have been another issue
Yeah the whole "bringing back Billy" aspect wouldn't have happened even if Tzachor agreed. On his Twitter David Yost wrote this: "Megaforce=No 4 me. They lost me when the offer started "Dear Power Ranger" & had several grammatical errors. #donewithabusiverelationships"
I don't blame the actor that played Troy. I blame the writing and lack of direction given to the actors that season. He had moments where he showed some emotion and range, but it was very brief.
maybe, but she's EASILY the worst villain. Even some later villains have SOME good qualities to them, or are just bland and boring, but Divatox wasn't merely bland, she was ANNOYING. I did like the underwater theme of her gang though, and thought the skull-faced henchman looked cool.
I will personally defend Sam. He might not have had much in the way of character, but he at least had more personality than Troy. He should at least not be listed as worse than Mentor Ji. I'd put him at #10 and move Norg up to #9.
Man, someone must've binged Linkara's History of Power Rangers series. Most of this sounds like how he put things in his review series for the seasons.
The production team just didn't do their homework and heavily modified the Samurai seasons from their Super Sentai counterparts to make it more desirable to the American and International audiences. Many of the Super Sentai seasons we're better than their modified International (Power Rangers) counterparts. The in Space and Wild Force we're the only ones that weren'too heavily modified.
" the concept of a younger kid being a ranger in a sea of teenages is pretty stupid." They literally took the idea from the Japanese version, the white ranger in the Japanese version is a play by a kid.
@@mistresskixen6142 Im guessing you didn't see the quotation mark. I'm jabbing at watchmojo said "the concept of a younger kid being a ranger in a sea of teenagers is pretty stupid." I am pointing out that reason is stupid because they got that idea from super sentai. The white ranger that Jason David Frank aka Tommy plays, his japanese counterpart is play by a kid similar to the blue turbo ranger. Hence them saying a kid being a ranger is the only reason why he's bad, that reason by itself is stupid.
It's done for completely different reasons though. White Dairanger was a kid because of the whole using kids to represent purity thing to further the white as purity/light thing, but Justin was a blue ranger; literally no-one has ever associated dark blue with purity. Also, the kids as purity thing, while still used occasionally, is nowhere near as prevalent in western media as it is in Asia. As they said, it's pretty likely to just be a bad attempt at pandering.
Okay, Ji wasn't *that* bad a mentor. And Sam probably couldn't have said anything because he didn't want anything about the future to change negatively. Also, maybe Gosei was a bad mentor because Zordon wasn't there to help him for the past 10,000 years or so.
@@gottawatchemall1118 zordon was alive at the time. Gosei didn't make megaforce rangers, because Zordon was keeping the peace. Then Z-wave happened and Zordon died
Ji refused to let Antonio become a Samurai, even though he was the only one who actually wanted to be one. You could make the argument that they had a choice because Jaiden said they could say no, but when you look at it, they really didn't. It was hammered into their heads from day one, that when the time came, they had to step up and become Samurai. Antonio wanted to be a Samurai, he looked up to Jaiden, he trained himself, he made a way to more effectively use symbol power, he saved the other rangers, but Ji said no. I hate Ji.
Ji took away the morpher that Antonio MADE because he didn't thought he was ready for it after proving himself. The last reasoning is not bad, the fact he took away the morpher that Antonio made, it wasn't given by him.
You're entitled to your opinion of course but personally I think Ji should be higher on the list. I consider him to be the worst Power Rangers mentor ever. Gosei was abysmal sure but at least he didn't show blatant favouritism like Ji did.
Yeah... Ji was pretty awful. I mean, Samurai is the only one who could ever be considered as a Child soldier series and, not once, does Ji apologise to them. He doesn't even have a full name.
Wright805 I am SO GLAD someone else sees the reason why Ji should be on the top 10 list: Blatant favoritism with Jaden. I've had teachers do favoritism in classes, as blatant as Ji, so he's made my top 5 at least.
You could fill this entire list with just the core cast of Megaforce and Overdrive, with a few Samurai as honorable mentions, if not for the two per series limit.
As a Ranger, yes. As a character, he's either hot-headed or quick to give up. Watch the _Mystic Force_ review video by Disney Brain if you don't see where I'm coming from.
I knew this list was shit when Troy was 6, and not 1. There's no way he's even remotely slightly better than the ones that were put on 1-5. He's so horrid, he could just take spots 1-5 by himself.
Power Studios TV yeah I couldn’t get behind the logic of Animus/Kite, even as a kid. He does understand that he is causing the greater of two evils to happen right?
I reeeeally wish we could put the Justin hate to bed... I get that it was less than great for the majority of the fan base, but in my individual opinion, I really enjoyed Justin. Both when i was a kid and in rewatches, I just enjoy the character. I appreciate how they wrote the other rangers' reactions to Justin's reveal and they didn't shy away from playing with the strange dynamic. He's completely capable and efficient as a ranger, especially in the In Space episode where he literally saves the entire ranger team. I wish the franchise brought his actor back for an older Justin comeback, but I know I'm in the minority on that one...
@@luigiluigi4366 I have to agree, Divatox may have destroyed the Power Chamber, but Psycho Pink Ranger is more evil than her since she killed Kendrix (temporarily, and because Kendrix's actor had to leave due to leukemia, which he beat, leading to Kendrix being revived in the Lost Galaxy's ending).
It’s kind of a shame. Movie Divatox, when she was introduced, was terrifying at the time. She scared the hell out of me as a kid, attempting to drown Kim and Jason, blowing the Power Chamber, and sending those Dark Crystal-ass gooey turtle monsters to fight the Rangers on the ship? Better hope my 10 year old self was wearing my shittin pants. But then I believe the actress who played her didn’t stick around for the series, which was great because her entire character during the series and after the movie was a caricature of her badass movie self. So dumb and so lame
Her original actress was on maternity leave so they had to get another actress for the first half but the original actress came back in the second half.
Power Rangers!...That's a MEGA win! Power Rangers!...That's a Super MEGA win! Power Rangers!...That's a Super D' Do-per MEGA win! Power Rangers!... That's a Super Zippidy Do Da Win! SHUT UP!!!
Im sorry but I dont agree with Divatox. I loved me some Divatox. I also felt the Turbo movie and the Turbo era was very underrated. I always felt power rangers went downhill after lightspeed rescue.
I feel like compared to Treekenna and Astronoma, she just pales in comparison. She wasn’t the original OG like Rita. But the other two were female warriors as well as leaders. Her cronies were also pretty bad compared to Ecliptor, Deviot and Goldar. Js Plus her acting was always a bit too comical. Even when I was 9.
+TheJman16165 Uh are you kidding? Both Time Force and RPM are two of the most acclaimed seasons after Lost Galaxy and In Space, and both came after Lightspeed Resue. RPM probably has the most recognized cast of PR after MMPR. All of the listed are amongst the darkest and most well written seasons.
I know, right? Divatox is the only villain to date that actually defeated the Rangers at the end of the series. From MMPR to Dino Charge, no other villain can make that claim.
AdderTude-Rita, Zedd and, Master Vile at the end of mmpr. They are the reason why Power Rangers the series has changed. They finally defeated mmpr which led to Zeo and ever since, the series has drastically changed every season.
Not exactly. The process they used to transform the Rangers into kids was pretty much a temporary effect. They still had the Aquitan Rangers to deal with until Billy figured out how to reverse the process. Technically, the Rangers still had their powers since their access to the Morphing Grid was never lost, but they couldn't use them because they weren't "old enough". On the other hand, Divatox actually destroyed the Power Chamber and with it, the Rangers' powers.
They weren't destroyed outright. They were only damaged. Otherwise, Adam couldn't have morphed in both Zeo and Operation Overdrive. Besides, you'd have to admit that changing the Rangers to kids is cheating. The Rangers were transformed into kids first, *then* the Power Coins were damaged. Technically it doesn't count, since little kids can't use the Morphers in the first place. Divatox, however, defeated the Turbo Rangers in the final battle. Thus, my point still stands that she's the only one to beat the Rangers outright.
So, for some reason after watching this video, I just realized that both the actors that played Trini (Thuy Trang) and Richie (Maurice Mendoza) died young in real life? Wow. There are quite a few f'd up deaths/suicides/illnesses/crimes/etc associated with the younger actors of both main and smaller parts. No, I don't believe in the "Power Rangers Curse" because bad sh!t happening is just a part of life (just like how some of the older actors have died from illnesses) but still it's so sad. 😢
That line where Troy says a ranger it never lets go of his weapon is in fact part of a much longer scene where noah and Gia have just been up all night looking for something to help and then he turns round and says that talk about a verbal slap in the face how rude is that right?
Mentor Ji's favoritism comes about due to the sentai Samurai came from. In it the Red Ranger was a literal lord, like even his teammates, who were his straight up vassals, called him lord Shiba. So he was heavily favored over the others and that translated over into the Power Rangers adaptation.
@@joshuawinters7644 maybe you should watch ending again ji said Takeru was lord for him he never thought that real prinsess will come before his death he thought that real Shiba head will come after their death he was serving his life to him like true lord
Overacting and bad character development aside, Divatox still destroyed the Ranger's Megazords, their base of operations, made them lose their powers and forced them to go on the defensive which hadnt happened except once before in Ranger history up until that point.
I actually like Troy!!! Megaforce is one of my favourite seasons. The cast is very likeable and the acting is good. and why is queen Divatox in this list? Come on she is very entertaining!!!
Wow... I'm not gonna lie, I haven't watched Megaforce in a while, but a lot of people (especially the Disney Brain) consider it one of the worst, and they have good points being so wooden. So, I kind of agree with them, but seeing because I grew up with Neo Saban (the worst era to grow up with), I can't legit hate it.
DIvatox!? Are you serious?! She destroyed all of their zords, the Power Chamber and the Turbo Powers. And the Hilary Sheppard Turner version of her character was freaking amazing! Yes, Carol Hoyt's version was bland and the detonator thing got old fast, but for the 2nd half of the season, she was pure magic. And the hell are you going to put her above Norg and Gosei?
antoni mendoza so true vypra acting was completely assed because it was so bad and her laugh was even worse and gosei sucked because all he did was well barely nothing and the megaforce red ranger sucked too because that failure of a red ranger was so bad at being a red ranger
both are the fabulous characters remove them from the list... troy is one of the best leader among all power rangers.... mentor ji is one of the best mentor he taught everything to the rangers whatever he knew not only to jaden but all the rangers.... so please remove them from the list.......
Troy should be #1 regardless. I never thought anyone could beat Rocky as the worst Red Ranger of all time, but god damn Troy takes the cake! Whoever picked this dude to be in the series should kick themselves in the ass for this atrocity. From this shit Troy character to probably THE WORST ending in power rangers history... Seriously, this shit acting from this guy made Rocky look like a suitable replacement for Jason.
smeagle37 Rocky is actually my all time favourite Ranger. He had huge potential, but the writer's clearly had no interest in developing him as a character. That's why he gets such a bad rep. The writing for his character improved a little during Zeo, but not by a lot. As for being a suitable replacement for Jason, you have to realise that Jason was the original leader before Tommy took over which meant that for a while there were two leader type characters on the team, which just didn't work. Which is why replacing Jason with another strong, leader type character would have been reductive. I therefore don't think that it is fair to compare Rocky to Jason since the role of the Red Ranger within the team shifted when Tommy became the White Ranger. Either way, Rocky will always be my favourite, even if no one else loves him.
smeagle37 troy may be robotic because remember operation overdrive when mack became humans may be his former robotic form that left him and became troy and needs to be more robotic
And BASCO as well and the saddest part was that the actor speaks FLUENT English, wanted to see his American's counterpart and EVEN WILLINGLY ACCEPT TO PLAY THE ROLE IN POWER RANGER. Da FUCK, man.
zhaoyun255 Dude with 20 episode airing Tzachor should of make an arc of his counterpart where he steals Robo Knight to access the Sixth Ranger keys and ect.
But then this is Neo-Saban, the one that recycled 80% of the JP footage. Damn, dude. But then, there is a reason why Judd Lynn came back after 4 years absent from PR.
Justin annoyed me more not because he was a kid as a Ranger, but he was introduced in a movie and not the series. I think that is one huge reason people were turned off with him was that reason - if they didn't see the movie, when they saw the TV series they wondered where Rocky was. I was one of them.
darius rogers Not really. Even as a kid I don't like him because I know teens can only be rangers like Zordon says. Super Sentai as far as I know did not have that such rule.
the power rangers didnt just "ruin Divatox's wedding". when divatox married maligore, she would rule beside him as a dominant threat to the galaxy. Also, Divatox the worst character? you know what action must be taken. FIRE THE TORPEDOES!!!!!
I always stick myself to In Space... in fact i already finished it and will most likely stop there. I don't think anything could do what In Space could do, not even close. It was just that awesome.
it's been like 5 seasons that are better after in space ended. RPM is where it should've ended because the quality and care dropped like stone after that. Watch RPM it's truly the best acted and written season ever.
Mario G Hernandez yes, that season was the most serious and dark, yet it's actually the funniest season as well, the writing and characters are better then the 2017 movie. 3 of the rangers from that season are now main stream stars, that's how good the acting was. The yellow ranger has her own show and red in the MCU
Richie and Justin really weren't that bad. The reasons why they are on this list are very valid, but there are definitely worse characters than them that should have been higher (e.g., Troy). Speaking of Troy, who in their right mind finds Megaforce/Super Megaforce to be considered worthy of split reactions among the fandom? It was outright horrible....
Izzy The Gentleman i felt like the 2000 to 2009 ranger series were the best on their own merits (we domt talk about overdrive) and the orriginals for nostalgia more than quality. However i felt like the newer ones have been down right uncomfortable to watch. Which is weird because i feel the camera shots and fight choreagrophy have gotten much better. But it feels the acting has dipped alot making plot holes and weak character development more noticible. I agree with mojo when they say some of these series could fill this list on their own. I know the rangers series is suppose to be just fun schlock but theres a reason id rewatch rpm, dinothunder or dinocharge over megaforce and samurai any day. That in terms of there seems to be alot more unlikable characters in these roles
It would seem that you watched Linkar's videos and lifted dialogue and his opinions from the videos, rather than actually watching the series and understanding the opinions of the entire fan base.

I hated that season because it didn't have any fun or humor in it like the past seasons; it was too serious
I like Troy he is awesome he shouldn't have to be in this list
Finally someone who understands

Eh, Kevin was alright. Noah was worse, a terrible knock off of Billy and like the rest of the Megaforce cast, completely bland and wooden in acting.
Kevin was awful. Noah is also terrible. But Kevin took the cake being the most douchebag ranger of all time.
Otaku Collectors-I think Sky was the most douchebag Ranger of all time.

u should do top 10 worst power rangers suits
Number one should probably be either Mystic Force (why do the rangers need capes) or Operation Overdrive (they just don't look right).
JCBro2014 I know right
JCBro2014 they both look cool
I think you could also probably include the Jungle Fury suits for the core trio, their Jungle Master modes are pretty good, but the regular suits look like pajamas. RJ and Dominic's Wolf and Rhino suits are cool though.
JCBro2014 yeah I guess but I really do agree with the mystic force one
I haven’t seen Megaforce, yet, (I just started SPD) but Troy sounds like the Power Ranger equivalent of Bella from Twilight.
Actually he's just the equivalent of Twilight in general 🤣

Dino charge was good, but heckyl and snide tho
The red ranger in real life is actually a really cool guy

No samurai is the best
There's a reason sam is like that. His character was added later as stock footage from Japanese version wasn't available and the casting was already done. So when the writers got this character they wanted to cast a new character but producers didn't allocate any new funds. So they had to do away with him being ball of light.
Shashank Gupta Or rather Disney was too cheap to hire an actor for Omega Ranger/DekaBreak.
As Deadpool puts it: "Well, that's just lazy writing."
Bruce Kalish regrets that decision
if you pay attention to the storyline in Power Rangers SPD Sam (the Omega Ranger) is from the future from the year 2040 Power Rangers SPD takes place in the not too distant future of 2025 if they showed Sam in his human form it would mess up the space time continuum hence the reason why Sam turned into a sparkling ball

Well to be fair, the actor who played Troy wasn't given good enough material to begin with.
But considering how much of a disappointment Megaforce was, the acting was the least of the season's worries.
(Coming from somebody who likes both Super Sentai and Power Rangers)
Same, I like em both and Super Megafail makes me want to kill someone.
We're in deep agreement there, bub.
goseiger and Gokaiger aren't "Good material" ?Dude Marvelous is probably the best red ranger ever.
+Chaz Hartwayne Well, the original Sentai was there, practically handed to on a platter.
Yet, they managed to botch up the adaptation. When I mentioned it not being "good enough material", I was referring to the poorly written scriptwriting and overall laziness factor that Megaforce/Super Megaforce offered instead of something that could've been genuinely amazing.
no, his acting is just bad.
Mentor Ji was no where near the worst, the rest was decently accurate though
yeah exactly, I agree with you, but Sam isn't either to be honest.
atamarus He shouldn’t have been on there
Mentor JI sucked.
Norg was cool too ffs
AdeptDamage Your right Mentor Ji Is the worst character in Power Rangers. I like him when he does good things
Power Rangers using a kid as a ranger just didn't work because the rangers before him had all been teenagers, and thus he felt like he didn't belong.
pokemaster123ism yeah just watch linkara
lol Linkara is a joke. Claiming that Overdrive is trash but Megaforce had it worse. My god the producer Jonathan LazyTzachor is the reason why the writers hated working with him. At least for Overdrive the at least tried. Megaforce had no fucking effort.

oh
Megaforce doesn't have a Dax. That's why it is better than Overdrive.

Old Green Cunt I second this note. She was meant to be the polar opposite of Rita. But her character at the end of the series changes drastically.
Divatox wasn't funny. She was an insuffereable piece of shit.
Saying something is "supposed" to be shit doesn't change the fact its still crap.
Also Astronema was the polar opposite of Rita, and a far better villian than either Her or Divatox.
For the record, none of these characters were intentionally awful. I could go all night about my gripes with Troy and Gosei, but I doubt they were designed to annoy most of the audience.
You lied on all of them

Justin is so stupid in the show.

Wait, so the Omega Ranger is just a ball of light?
In the words of Tetsu from Dekaranger: "Nonsense."
Rio Kamichika did you get that from TokuTime w/ EZ Rider
Rio Kamichika. i was fine with omega ranger, but nova ranger in the finaly dat was just added in as a final decision
i thought nova ranger was in the sentai
I wish Saban would've used the Dairangers suits as the Zedd rangers.
That's what I would had said too and it would had make a lot of sense. Would had also been nice if the rangers incorporate those suits later on in the second season instead of reusing the Zyuranger for one more season.
ikr
Too bad Saban was too cheap
It’s most likely for marketing, the mmpr suites became a pop culture icon that it would be a bad idea to change the suites early and kept the brand strong till they changed to ZEO
oh yea Mentor Ji Is a bad mentor he only taught Jaiden EVERYTHING He Knows , Gave important Lessons to all the rangers and helped them discover some of the biggest samurai mysteries
of course
he did absolutely positively NOTHING throughout the series
@@ellipsis498 was that sarcasm lol

On his Twitter David Yost wrote this:
"Megaforce=No 4 me. They lost me when the offer started "Dear Power Ranger" & had several grammatical errors. #donewithabusiverelationships"
I don't blame the actor that played Troy. I blame the writing and lack of direction given to the actors that season. He had moments where he showed some emotion and range, but it was very brief.
Exactly. I'm glad Megaforce was Tzachor's last season.

well what do you expect? Power ranger as a whole is something that came from Japan along with a lot of the other shows back then.

AdderTude-No, Goldar and Rito destroyed the power coins just in case the rangers were able to get back to teenage form. Remember?
They weren't destroyed outright. They were only damaged. Otherwise, Adam couldn't have morphed in both Zeo and Operation Overdrive.
Besides, you'd have to admit that changing the Rangers to kids is cheating. The Rangers were transformed into kids first, *then* the Power Coins were damaged. Technically it doesn't count, since little kids can't use the Morphers in the first place. Divatox, however, defeated the Turbo Rangers in the final battle. Thus, my point still stands that she's the only one to beat the Rangers outright.

So handsome
Super mega haters take a super mega L
#1. - Megaforce entire cast
Jorge Guzmán they all weren't that bad I meant one of them hade to be good maybe the Silver Ranger or maybe the one Teacher but sure they arnt all bad
I love megaforce in America but I like it in Japanese
1. Haim Saban, power rangers were better when he wasn't in charge
2. Super Megaforce. GoKaiger deserved so much better than this horseshit
So...Power Rangers was better under Disney? They actively tried to kill the series with RPM.
Jorge Guzmán aside from Noah who actually had character growth they all sucked. I hated how they wore the same clothes EVERY episode.
Troy Burrows is the worst Red Ranger, " a ranger never let go of their weapons". If that's what he thinks, he shouldn't be a ranger
and yet he let go of his weapons go many times after that.
Caleb Chan Why? Because you're too butt hurt to handle different opinions?
only tv shows do stuff like that.... Toy commercials don't have that kind of time
Troy is the reason i hate megaforce and super megaforce
That line where Troy says a ranger it never lets go of his weapon is in fact part of a much longer scene where noah and Gia have just been up all night looking for something to help and then he turns round and says that talk about a verbal slap in the face how rude is that right?
Mentor Ji's favoritism comes about due to the sentai Samurai came from. In it the Red Ranger was a literal lord, like even his teammates, who were his straight up vassals, called him lord Shiba.
So he was heavily favored over the others and that translated over into the Power Rangers adaptation.
no because in Shinkenger even Takeru was lord ji wasn't as baised there he supports all and help them
@@aman085 Technically, Takeru Wasn't The Real Lord (At Least Until The Last Episode) As He Was Actually A Decoy
@@joshuawinters7644 maybe you should watch ending again ji said Takeru was lord for him he never thought that real prinsess will come before his death he thought that real Shiba head will come after their death he was serving his life to him like true lord
Divatox should be no where on this list
explosive diarrhea Well... she didn’t do all that much. Rita Repulsa was fairly hands-on by comparrison.
Didn't do much? Her forces destroyed the command center and the turbo powers.
Your profile picture scared me...
Overacting and bad character development aside, Divatox still destroyed the Ranger's Megazords, their base of operations, made them lose their powers and forced them to go on the defensive which hadnt happened except once before in Ranger history up until that point.
at least vypra was hot
That was her only saving grace.
why troy is the worst
djslick090909 troy was tge worst because his acting was just so no emotion he is in a series not making a photoshoot for the vougue.
Morgan8378 yes, but she also got her acting lessons from Charlie MacDonald from No More Heroes 2.
troy was so robotic, robo knight (an actually robot) was less robotic than he was
I actually like Troy!!!
Megaforce is one of my favourite seasons. The cast is very likeable and the acting is good.
and why is queen Divatox in this list? Come on she is very entertaining!!!
I agree. The cast is very likable
I can’t tell if your being sarcastic
@@shadicTPZ i would gladly pick overdrive out of the 6 seasons of the Neo-Saban Era to watch
Megaforce was shit.
Power rangers megaforce is the worst season...
garrick wally but it was the 20th season?
Deez Nuts gokaiger is the best Sentai in my opinion but I'm sorry between that and go busters.
Huh, I liked Megaforce and Super Megaforce, mainly as I thought Troy was a good character except for his brooding
I agree
garrick wally i disagree
The entire Megaforce cast is cringey
And the hell are you going to put her above Norg and Gosei?
the person who made this was obviously on crack
@@Trxxvv totally!
gosei should be number one and Divatox shouldn't be on the list! Vypra should be on that list
antoni mendoza so true vypra acting was completely assed because it was so bad and her laugh was even worse and gosei sucked because all he did was well barely nothing and the megaforce red ranger sucked too because that failure of a red ranger was so bad at being a red ranger
Very true, Rwhoover. Divatox destroyed all the Turbo zords, except for Artillitron and Robo Racer.
Mentor ji and troy doesn't deserves to be on this list
I agree there characther writing was amazing
Yeah you're right 😇
both are the fabulous characters remove them from the list...
troy is one of the best leader among all power rangers....
mentor ji is one of the best mentor he taught everything to the rangers whatever he knew not only to jaden but all the rangers....
so please remove them from the list.......
Ikr
Lol even a robot had more personality than troy, they suck that's it point blank period and accept it.
Seriously, this shit acting from this guy made Rocky look like a suitable replacement for Jason.
smeagle37
Preach it to the choir, brother!
Thats your opinion. Some people actually enjoyed that series like me. And I thoight troy was good. His acting was on point
smeagle37 Rocky is actually my all time favourite Ranger.
GamingWithReece Yay I agree
"And stop saying that gosh"
does anyone know that Trini. actor sadly passed away
Jorge Martinez yup
car accident way back in '01
To be more precise, she died on September 3rd, 2001. Literally eight days before 9/11.
AdderTude Looks like a sad tragedy was followed by a worse one
And to think she could've saved the day!
Wasn't it because she was hit by a drunk driver?
3:42 Sam ??? Why man ???
He is my Fav 6th Rangers and for me all time fav Suit
I’ll have you know that Troy is my favorite Power Ranger
SAMMEEE
I have to disagree with some of list
Guy Isaiah Smith who for? If its troy, you have no clue what you're talking about.
for me its Sam is the big wtf.
One thing is for certain, Troy is not Marvelous...
John marvelous is the shit
Let’s make this showy.
Kate Tremaine Hade Ni Ikuse
There is no way he will be as showy and badass than then CHAD Captain Marvelous.
'remember, zen-aku'
'what am I supposed to remember?'
'there is a simple explanation for that'
🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@autumnleaf2537 hi
How dare you
Justin was amazing
Gypsie Hex ol
I don't think they don't like Justin, I think it's the idea that a 12 year old kid could be a power ranger.
Me @ 6:55 : "Wait. WaaaiitwaitwaitwaitwaitwaitWAIT. Zordon was Gosei's mentor? Uh, no. YOU MADE THAT UP, GIANT TALKING TECHY TIKI HEAD."
Ana Johnson he's right, Zordon is Gosei's mentor
Although Gosei was a terrible mentor, the worst one in my book was Dimitria from Power Rangers Turbo
I know. All she did was give us questions to questions the rangers asked she gave me a headache
2:18
"We believe a guinea pig turned sensei could sensei better than ji"
*ninja storm flashbacks*
2:30 ok so i guess Lion King/Mufasa got into the megazord in heaven 😂
DICK OUT FOR CAPTAIN MARVELOUS. Thank you Saban for killing off Marvelous with Troy.
And Alata for killing off Goseiger
I did not know that wow. :o
Come on guys. We loved Justin because Justin was living our dream. He was a kid and a ranger. We all wanted that so we loved Justin
darius rogers watchmojo forgot kibaranger on dairanger is a kid also.
Keeva2006 hey do you like Ariel or not
Justin annoyed me more not because he was a kid as a Ranger, but he was introduced in a movie and not the series.
I think that is one huge reason people were turned off with him was that reason - if they didn't see the movie, when they saw the TV series they wondered where Rocky was. I was one of them.
Exactly and his reasons for being on this list, just like Norg, Dax, and Divatox were utter bullshit.
darius rogers Not really. Even as a kid I don't like him because I know teens can only be rangers like Zordon says. Super Sentai as far as I know did not have that such rule.
I didn't know the guy who played Richie in MMPR season 2 passed away. RIP to Maurice Mendoza, Thuy Trang, JDF, and everyone who's passed away 🙏🏿
There’s a simple explanation for Gosei being #3....
Because SHUT UP DAX!!!
Win!
You know, you could've given Linkara credit for basically lining up all these entries for you.
Had you not had the "Two entries per season" rule, this whole list would probably be 90% Operation Overdrive.
No. It would've been an even split between Turbo, Overdrive, Samurai and Megaforce.
1:32 so wrong get out of here
the power rangers didnt just "ruin Divatox's wedding". when divatox married maligore, she would rule beside him as a dominant threat to the galaxy. Also, Divatox the worst character? you know what action must be taken.
FIRE THE TORPEDOES!!!!!
personally i don't see her being worse then ji,troy, or gosei.
Divatox is one of my most favorite villains of all time right next to Yzma from "emperor's new groove"and Lord licorice from Candyland.
disney era power rangers Id put Alpha 6 in place of Divatox. I hated Alpha 6
The show is not the same like the 90s👍
nostalgia colored glasses
I always stick myself to In Space... in fact i already finished it and will most likely stop there. I don't think anything could do what In Space could do, not even close. It was just that awesome.
it's been like 5 seasons that are better after in space ended. RPM is where it should've ended because the quality and care dropped like stone after that. Watch RPM it's truly the best acted and written season ever.
J Smooth Soul Beats I must see
Mario G Hernandez yes, that season was the most serious and dark, yet it's actually the funniest season as well, the writing and characters are better then the 2017 movie.
Izzy The Gentleman Megaforce was the one season I didn't even bother to see. For crying out loud I sat through the entire season of fucking Overdrive
Yeah, Justin was pretty competent as a blue ranger.
it was still dumb and fans did not like it, i was 10 and thought it was stupid
I don’t think being forgettable makes you a contender for this list. It should be a list of characters we remember for the wrong reasons.
4:39 NO WAY THEY KEPT THE SENTAI NAME ON THE CARD! XD
Holy S**t I just noticed that talk about being Lazy
3:31 Rangers, I don't feel so good.
It would seem that you watched Linkar's videos and lifted dialogue and his opinions from the videos, rather than actually watching the series and understanding the opinions of the entire fan base.
But, Sam was AWESOME, and so was Dax
Nightmare Fuck yeah
No. Dax was awful. Awful enough to make a person want to skip the season entirely
I liked Dax and Overdrive, but the yeti was jusr adorable
Dax was good so was Justin and Richie
I love Sam but Dax is fucking terrible Character
