A remarkable and towering piece of mecha merch, and one of my all-time favorites. The zords and first half of the series truly had the same type of vibe that Thunderbirds started, and especially the Rescuezords & Supertrainzords definitely look like they could be property of International Rescue. To have this train titan not only be a carrier for the OG Lightspeed zords, but also become its own mech, was such an astonishing sight to behold as a kid. Probably the best Megazord out of the whole season! ^_^
This is about the rattle in rail rescue 5 it might be fi do with the hinge on the zord bay door as mine did that for a while before it started to pop off at times that or with your one a small stone somehow got inside it but either way I love this Megazord it was the first one I saw back in the day and it got me Into giant robts in general

I also remember that epic moment when they revealed the Supertrain was a Megazord. Those were some mind-blowing, great times. Although I missed out on the original release, I jumped on the Super Minipla release which is outstanding. Thanks again.
Your Super Train is in impeccable condition. I love that all of the other Zords can be incorporated with the Super Train, albeit not all at the same time. Plus it can be configured however you wish since Red’s and Pink’s have connectors on each end.
I had the supertrain since 2000 at 5 yo. After 20 years I FINALLY got my lightspeed megazord and lived out my dream of using the supertrain as its original purpose
So I went to vintage stock near by where I live and saw this megazord in its box being sold for 89.99. I bought it without thinking about it. I get home and it feels heavy to the then realize the other megazord is within the train ! I'm so darn happy right now.
As a main masterpiece transformers collector I don't like any of the series of the megazords except this one. I bought this at a goodwill complete for 13$ for my kids to play with. Play with they did and when I finally got around to donating it back to goodwill I played with it. My word what a wonderful zord! I love everything about every single vehicle. My super train megazord sits proudly in my display until the next play session. Can't say the same about 90% of my collection they are show pieces. I was a simple a kid, I liked trains, I liked planes and liked giant pilotable robots. so when this megazord was first revealed, my tiny little child brain went through a supernova and thus began several weeks of begging to get this toy, Santa decided to bless me one Christmas :)
I completely ignored Lightspeed Rescue at first; a combination of Fox shifting the airing times in my area, and having fallen out of love with the show after the death of the Magna Defender in Lost Galaxy. That is until I went to babysit for a friend of my younger brother and one of the first things I saw was the Supertrain Megazord standing beside the TV. The sheer size and scale of the thing blew my mind, the closest in size to it that I can think of would be Serpentera, or one of the larger ships from the Star Wars toy line. But by the time I caught up in the series; there were none in the stores. Imagine my shock when I drive out to a retro toy store and spot one of the Rail Rescue 1 in a random bin! I all but sprint to the desk and ask if the other 4 are there and the clerk pretty much tells me "I don't know man, but if you can find 'em, I'll sell the whole thing instead of making you pay for each part separately." I spent the next 10-20 minutes searching each bin the shop had until I'd managed a fully assembled Supertrain Megazord right on the guy's countertop; and I told him: "Sir I saw so much cool stuff while I was looking around; you mind holding onto it while I keep looking for anything else on my wish list?" I promised myself that I'd make a trip out to that shop as often as I could (it was a 2 hour drive) and every time I went I found treasures! It broke my heart to find out the store closed that branch and moved out of state!
I had both rescue zords as a child I think I was 11 years old. However I did not have this version lol I had a cheaper version of both the ones where the hands did not open and I don’t think I was able to split the zords. I loved playing with these zords as child! Great video man!
I got this during Covid lockdown and this have kept me sane and entertained. Sadly the one of the clip on Go liner 3 holding the front broke but didn't exactly affected it alot and later i got linerboy but i have many issues with it but it still worked

I played myself with it, I had a friend on my school bus and we often traded transformers for power rangers, I got the Wild Force sword for the Armada Megatron, but I eventually gave him Super Train for every single one of his Minicons. It was a hassle fitting all 5 zords in my bookbag.
It's rare to find one complete in box at a good price. I got lucky back in 2018 and bought it for $120 shipped. I already had a loose Super Train Megazord from a lot I bought for $150 that included the Omega Megazord, Lightspeed Megazord, and Max Solar Zord on eBay. This one had the missing parts you mentioned, but it had the Helmet that's usually missing on the Max Solar Zord that I didn't have on mine. My parents bought it at Walmart for me, and it was the last one, sadly the helmet for the combination was missing. But it was at a reduced price...
I miss the old days of ToysRUs. I used to on the days off from college pop into the store and buy so many megazords. The only problem was buying them in secret from my parents as I was 17 and buying toys still. I ditched so many boxes at that store just to take the zords out rhe zord and hide them in my backpack.😢
Goodness. I don't mean to be THAT guy but after SPD, I feel like Super Sentai lost its OOMF for exciting Zords and Zord concepts. That's not to generalize and ignorantly state that EVERYTHING after SPD was bad because such a statement could not be farther from the truth, however again, it goes without saying that something as exciting as the Super-Train Megazord wouldn't be had again. And surely enough, it's the truth. Subjective, but largely true I've found. The idea of a carrier Zord actually having a Megazord combination sequence was mind-blowing for me as a kid, and while the Delta Command Megazord came close to this, it only did that: Come close. (You already covered everything else in your video, all of which I agree with). Great review though! I love your videos! You are to Power Rangers and Super Sentai what Chris McFeely is to Transformers. Your voice just has this wild cross between professionalism and enthusiasm that a lot of other reviewers don't have and your reach and knowledge in PR/SS history is unparalleled; presented easily and digestibly. Your delivery is also extremely clean. Please keep doing this and finding ways to dish out this sort of content!
I think similarly. I would make an argument for mystic force at least being interesting and trying new stuff. But yeah it's been very rinse and repeat, even when it pretends it's not being. I will give super ninja steel Ultrazord props though. That was a recent example where I thought wow OK, they can still do something new. Just a shame Bandai America messed up the execution of it in a (too) big way.
on one side, PR got the short end of he stick during the last decade, with most serie not getting adapted. on the other, we got some very lacking zords as starters (the ZyuohKing sets and the voyagers are particolary egregious in their concepts); the only one getting somewhere close I can think of in the top of my head is Toqger's ultrazord and the less we talk about the unmoving temple that is the samurai ultrazord combination, the better...

The switching to Turbines is a strange choice as the Super Sentai origins had the Mech powered by the rangers own life force. I can't remember if they had any explosions in the cockpit but the electric charges you see inside the cockpit was just the mech drawing power from the rangers.

Revolver Mammoth was huge as well and they literally rode it in their huge combined mode. Same goes for the Lion-Ha Oh from Ninninger that literally was a throne that you can let the main mech sit in. Hyper Ressa from Toqger also made the other train mechs look feeble.
Idea for a top 10 Top 10 zords where red is not the main component/torso etc. Example being this guy or the ninja megazord where red is an arm. Great review wish i carried on getting zords for a bit longer when i was a kid so i could have had this one

This Zord system was the best of any season, both in the show and the toys. The Max Solarzord could become part of the Super Train in train mode, and combined with the Lightspeed Megazord. The Super Train held both the individual Lightspeed Zords and Omega Zords. The Supertrain is the highlight obviously, but the whole system is spectacular. This would be great as a Haslab project. At
I manage to get him 2 years ago for 60$ in really good shape. He goes well with Transformers Micromasters as a transport carrier for micromasters soldiers.

You might as well just go buy the original 2nd hand at that point. Even if you pay the same price or slightly more, you're getting quality die-cast metal. Not some easily breakable plastic like the minipla.

Oh no! Should have put that in the video. Stickers are a big hindrance from this era. If you can't get any third party replacements, it's difficult to get that complete look when details are so small.
@@powerrangertube i'm very glad they started moving away from the stickers with time force because as a kid that was my jumping in point to pr, it's very frustrating that some of the older megazords are extremely difficult to obtain in good condition for reasonable prices, there's always missing or discoloured stickers that ruin the entire look of the megazord, as i said the time force megazord is a great toy because the few stickers it has don't affect the appearance too badly, wild force even better, no stickers, ninja storm mgzrd looked awesome, had no stickers but suffered in other areas, i don't have the dino thunder one but i really love the spd megazord, that one truly is great, if you don't have it yet i'd definately reconsider getting it.

I just got the minipla version and it is still massive. It's the size of a regular-sized DX megazord, but fully transformable and articulated.

i think rail rescue 4 is actually based on a European bullet train, I've been to France and seen trains which look very similar

You might as well just go buy the original 2nd hand at that point. Even if you pay the same price or slightly more, you're getting quality die-cast metal. Not some easily breakable plastic like the minipla.
@@slaiyfershin I mean Ive never broken the minipla. Plus, I want something compatible with the minilla zords I have, and you can pose the minipla. Im honesty just gonna pass on it though.

i love this megazord on the show, but i won't be getting one, the stickers are always missing everywhere i look, it's a deal breaker for me
Oh no! Should have put that in the video. Stickers are a big hindrance from this era. If you can't get any third party replacements, it's difficult to get that complete look when details are so small.
@@powerrangertube i'm very glad they started moving away from the stickers with time force because as a kid that was my jumping in point to pr, it's very frustrating that some of the older megazords are extremely difficult to obtain in good condition for reasonable prices, there's always missing or discoloured stickers that ruin the entire look of the megazord, as i said the time force megazord is a great toy because the few stickers it has don't affect the appearance too badly, wild force even better, no stickers, ninja storm mgzrd looked awesome, had no stickers but suffered in other areas, i don't have the dino thunder one but i really love the spd megazord, that one truly is great, if you don't have it yet i'd definately reconsider getting it.
