Seeing videos like these make really makes me miss the ones I owned as a kid. I had a quite an handfull of megazords but they were all lost as I grew up. They really don't make it as good as they do now than back then. Thanks for the review, thanks for the memories.
What I do like about Lightspeed is that despite being totally different zords, if you take the omega zords and rescue zords but remove the colour, you could more than likely match the red rescue to red omega. Blue to blue etc
A lot of their individual functions were only on paper for the concepts, they were a late addition, but BoA was intentionally forced to keep them intact. A lot of GoGoV and LSR were designed with American audiences in mind & was one of the early co-developed with an American that BoA & Saban had already started working with since roughly the end of In Space. This is also why the microsoft feature was discussed but then ultimately scrapped, b/c that same American was also working with M$ and Sega on Dreamcast things, to then what later would become the first Xbox. Toei would continue to work with that American all the way through Donbrothers, & that relationship had expanded to other brands as well, including other lines from Bandai Japan. Having been the person who helped bring Kamen Rider back with Kuuga, designed the Trans Armor/Souchaku line, later Rider Kicks & Sodo, and also Motion Revive & Shodo. They also had Kale/Caulifla & Kefla designed, and not sure if I'm missing anything else on that, besides helping Toei launch Pretty Cure after Sailor Moon the live ended(also a show brought around because of that). Tho there's far more to get into on Kamen Rider about it. The microsoft base stand got scrapped also because of that American, that's a somewhat longer story of concerns on that. Which makes sense if the whole BTS story was known on why to other events. (That "american" was still in HS at the time.) It's a very long long story. xD IIRC, I think you've talked to them online before. O:) They don't typically tell people everything tho, because who would believe it. O:) Also, the black and gold (diff ep) Zord re-release was right when Bandai America was stopping doing that, but was done deliberately in show in Japan because of a discussion about how Bandai America makes those but then they never end up in show. I might have just been unlucky, but based on my experience you're right to worry about the ratcheting legs. I got this one brand new around its release and had the red plastic crack on both the original and the replacement unit within the return period. After the replacement unit failed, that was the end of it for me. I was a kid at the time so it probably saw some advanced wear, but this was my 6th megazord(including all the others from this series), and this was the only one to ever have any critical failure. Surprised this doesn't seem to be a common problem, but maybe they revised the design with later production runs
You’re right, I don’t think it was released in Europe. I say that because PRLR was the only season where I got all the Megazords available in market in Portugal for Christmas when I was a child, but the omega (which was my favorite Megazord unfortunately…) was the only one I wasn’t able to get

Sadly I would have to say that I Personally Glade that they Ended up not Releasing that Interactive Megazord, the first main reason is that I Personally think that that Megazord is a little Deferent from say, a Tickle Me Alamo, and if they did release it I have a Suspicion they would need to Scarface Both the Movement and the Transformation Feature of that Megazord for Both Reasons The Electronics. And I Guess a Place to Mount The Speakers Be it on the Toy itself or as part of some kind of Background Ecstatic. Again for me it feels a little too simplistic for such a advanced Setup, but if they added some other but still Fairly Simple Features with it, it might be worth it I guess had they did Released it, and what I mean by that is in addition to hearing the Voices from the Season, maybe also add in a Interactive Game Like Feature where you could Literally play games on it and the Megazord would React Accordingly or whatever.
Just watched all of GoGoV and can confirm, no adhesive bullets to be found. There is, however, a very touching momen where GoRed looks back at the Earth and marvels at it's beauty from space and thanks his father for giving them the opportunity to see that. Before blowing up the asteroid with them on it potentially killing them all in what is also kind of an f'ing dark scene. Cause Sentai.
One of the last ones I coveted as I drifted out of collecting PR for a number of years. Sadly, I never did manage to get one, though I am keeping an eye on Ebay now to snag one to go with my Super Train MZ
Excellent review. Your set is really great-looking and you even have the little cannons for yellow intact, which are usually lost. I did notice your blue Zord has the clip broken inside the right arm to attach both sides together. Unfortunate, but at least they still hold together.
Thanks for watching! Yes it literally broke in the last few months when I got all my LSR zords out again. I think them living out in a garage has weakened the plastic durability
Great review! I always remember as a kid getting the Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue PS1 Game in the booklet they were showing off the Deluxe Omega Megazord. Little me was thinking every day, I must get that Megazord! But no matter where or how far we look, we could never find it in stores. Years later, when we got a hold of the internet. I find out that the toy was never bought over to UK stores(Likey to all the die-cast and toy safely limits here in the Uk). However, on Christmas of 2008 (I was 12 at the time) I got a brand new in box one from eBay for just £80! I couldn't believe I was finally getting a chance at such a rare and hard-to-find Megazord. In my hand, the toy was amazing! It felt so much more well made than a lot of other Megazord's even ones years later. The joints were nice, the stickers easy to put on, and still stuck strong. Everything about the toy was top stuff, even my dad thought it was a very well-made toy. Even after 10 years of play, the only damage it suffer from was some sticker peel and some very tiny cracks on the red circle-like joints on the blacklegs on Yellow and Pink zords (do watch out for that). Still, even with the damage, I manage to sell it in 2018 for over £100. Omega Megazord was a great toy and I would happily own it again!
Well done on eventually getting it for as long as you wanted it, and I totally didn't even consider EU/UK safety rules, that could well have been it! I have the PS1 game, so random they just have a picture of the toy on it.
The only thing I’m disagreeing with in this one is I believe that they should have those gaps in four and five because you’re just gonna need the carpet you don’t really need all that space for the humans, so it was well put together even if it doesn’t Look that good aesthetically I believe they did the correct thing mentally
I had a vhs tape of the 2000 Toy Fair, and the presenters actually referred to this as "The Deluxe Talking Dead Omega Megazord", cause they couldn't get it to work for the demonstration.
I love Lightspeed Rescue. One of my favorite season. I wasn't able to get the Zords when I was a kid but I did find the Super Train at a con. I sadly missed the minipla versions of the Super Train and Lightspeed Megazord but hopefully when minipla does do the Omega Megazord I'll get it.
Another great review. Although I personally was not a fan of this zord aesthetically, I'm not a fan of the 80s blockiness. The crawler mode is definitely really cool though.
Thanking you. Yeah it is a bit blocky. I do appreciate that crawler mode seems to be the only(?) 5 Zord combo that can be transformed into megazord mode without having to take any of the Zords off again to get there.

As I recall, it basically was in the show the few times it got used. Pretty sure it was also the only zord of Lightspeed Rescue that didn't have any other modes in the show, if I recall correctly
the main gogov mecha is fantastic but i always saw it as a stale copy of the second megazord from carrranger(power rangers turbo in usa) the gogov main mecha gives me alot of disbain beucase of that
They spoiled the new megazord early in the show instead of keeping it as a surprise🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️. This is why Wild Force was the only one Saban project that was good even tho they had annoying moments in it.

They did the same numbering thing with the windows on the SPD zords.
It even carried over to their helmets

I love Lightspeed Rescue. One of my favorite season. I wasn't able to get the Zords when I was a kid but I did find the Super Train at a con. I sadly missed the minipla versions of the Super Train and Lightspeed Megazord but hopefully when minipla does do the Omega Megazord I'll get it.

The Omega Megazord is my favorite in LSR because it's crawler mode looks like a beetle, and reminds me of the walkers from the Star Wars franchise.
Beetle is a great analogy for it
I like this megazord cause it has a secondary mode being a sort walker. I’m a suck up for secondary modes.
