- Congrats to my self and to all of you we have officially made it to the half way point of the Power Rangers reviews. Mystic Force is season number 14 of 28 and marks the first time a season was themed around magic. Some ideas were outstanding the morphing sequence for example others like Jenjie were awful in execution. Making MF a bad season of the show.

I made a mistake in the video. The episode arc I referred to is called "Dark Wish" episodes 18,19, and 20
Dark Wish was actually marketed as a movie. Did you recognize John Tui from another season of PR? No, he’s our favorite dog: SPD’s own Anubis Doggie Kruger.

Mystic force will always be my favorite I grew up with it, but most of all I loved the series music ( I don't mean the intro theme song) especially the one they used in last scene with the book writing " The end", I don't know about you guys but that scene with the music will always causing me tears of joy
Fun fact did you know power rangers mystic Force and the return to halloweentown movie we're both filmed in New Zealand so a lot of the costume designs were shared for both shows/movies

Know that I look back at it, I could see Kyoryuger (The Sentai equivalent to Dino Charge) kinda being inspired from this . For two big reasons one, having an over focus on the red ranger and two, having a romance between the red ranger and the female ranger that came out of nowhere at the 5 minutes of the final episode.

Marcus Digital must’ve been the overuse of magic.
I think nick and madisons’ relationship can be seen building up in the first few episodes especially in the rock stone episode. I don’t really remember the title. 😆 it is when madi became a stone. And we see also a character development in each episode which is very power ranger-y concept. So i think their relationship didn’t came out of nowhere.
after binging it I do see it didn't come completely out of nowhere. They should have had more tension between the 2 throughout the season though.

I think the ending was great. The first episode has this similar theme of believing in magic and so they did and they were able to fight the evil forces. And it’s a disney era power rangers so it’s kind of like family vibe. I love it!
Magi Ranger, the Sentai counterpart to Mystic force, is about Family. The entire team is a family. Udonna’s counterpart is Mystic Mother, Rita is a goddess of some sort. And was played by the actress that played Witch Bandora in Zyuranger(MMPR). Another interesting fact is that most of the problems with Nick’s character come from Magi Ranger where the Red Ranger is leader but also the youngest member of the team.

The red ranger doesn’t get the credit he deserves in the show. He’s a lot different than a lot of red ranger’s but he is always serious and he so much powerful than most and with his attitude and rage and his story with his family
One of the differences between him and the other Red Rangers is that he was adopted, which made him raised differently.
That intro battle in the first episode looked like something you would see in a Lord of the rings montage.
Well Disney did switch filming to New Zealand to cut costs
When I was a kid I never thought or notice anything about you are saying. I only cared about watching cool fight scenes. Now as an adult i find some storylines that are a bit ridiculous and funny and kind of like meh. But I realized that majority of the target viewers are kids so I’m fine with that. I still love it as an adult. Still watch it now. 😂
tbh I never was really into PR much as a kid. flash forward to 2006 im out of highschool and happen to be channel surfing on a Saturday. The Dark Wish episodes with that black white and surreal imagery of the Tribunal of Magic area really caught my attention.
I was like wtf, this is pretty experimental. That memory stuck with me to this day where i ended up searching for just what season that was with those episodes.
Also the actress that plays the blue ranger in this series was in Upgrade, knew I had recognized her from somewhere in that movie. She aged really well.

Thats a great voice especially compared to his sentai counterpart...plus Daggeron isnt a mentor he is the legit 6th ranger not to mention his morphing is a ticket puncher....his zord is a train...a reviewer needs to research dude

There are things I noticed when watching the first episode that made me scratch my head.
1. One particular track was recycled from W.I.T.C.H.'s first episode "It Begins", when Will Vandom is introduced, a track plays when she's bullied by a guy named Uriah (Who gets covered in water by Irma, similar to Nancy Bobofit from Percy Jackson.), which was reused in the second vlog scene after an earthquake that reawoke the villains of the series in Mystic Force. And since W.I.T.C.H.'s main composer was Noam Kaniel, it was technically the first contribution he made to the Power Rangers soundtrack before the Neo-Saban Era.
2. Nick/Bowen was very different from his Sentai counterpart, Kai. Kai wanted to fight and become a Magiranger, but his mother told him he couldn't, since he was too reckless after he saved a balloon from the top of a building as a way to pay back a little girl he bumped into. While Nick/Bowen didn't want to fight at all, since he "didn't believe in magic", even though it was clearly really happening right in front of him, and it also causes continuity problems with previous seasons, since he somehow didn't notice a Z-Wave, which caused evil to eradicated, which was mostly through magic, and since Rita Repulsa is a character in this series, it makes continuity even more dodgy in this universe, and it makes our main character look like a douchebag.
3. The Japanese version barely had any narration at all, except for the intro, yet the Power Rangers series added it in. Which is weird, since SPD had no narration, yet its Sentai counterpart had a narrator that wouldn't shut up about the rangers' powers and arsenal, even talking when the pink ranger was taking a bath. It's like they knew that in the previous season a narrator wasn't needed due to it treating the audience like idiots, but, in this one, they decided, "Screw it! Let's just add a narrator to exposit the prologue to tell our audience where their powers came from. Afterall! It worked in Dekaranger, but was never used in Magiranger, so let's just add it in to dumb down the plot. Kids will love it!"
Which one did you enjoy more regarding Sentai and Rangers? I personally enjoyed Magi a little bit more because of the family dynamic
7:50 I liked Chip only because he reminds me of when I have to much sugar and starts to write a fantasy fanfiction
I love mystic force it’s my favorite of the Disney era 3rd favorite overall I love the story chip Xander and vida were awesome. I found out people hated this season for focusing on nick to much well jungle fury wild force in space and time force focused on the red ranger and those are some of the most loved seasons

i like mystic force i do have some problems with red this is not the worst season of power rangers that comes to the operation overdrive but its not the best season of power rangers i give mystic force a C-

I only liked Madison and Vida. I like their powers, characters and costume designs. The sky blue/turquoise for Madison was pretty to me.
Madison is my favorite because she was very sweet and kind. Plus she had water powers which is my fav element and Vida has my favorite color pink. lol
They were a believable sister duo too! Sometimes the chemistry isn't there but it was for them

I've been binging Power Rangers for a few months now, on and off, got to Mystic Force. Which, imo, has major wasted potential. (But mostly because I love fantasy settings)
It's not bad, they just should've done more with it.
I also don't get how the 6th ranger has a train conductor theme and a train zord, but he has a wishing lamp as a gun? 🤷♂️ That's so out of place with the whole theme of the show.
I also think that Mystic Force is one of the only Power Rangers shows that doesn't use a punk/metal themesong.

Marcus Digital yeah I liked Magiranger from what I have seen. It’s also a breath of fresh air to have the Red ranger be the youngest, since Fiveman and GoGoV (Lightspeed Rescue) had the Red Ranger be the oldest.

Yeah I don't like season. This is probably the only (except Mega Force) that I don't like. I didn't watch this season while it was airing and I regret it because that wasn't fair. But this season didn't feel like a power rangers season to me. I liked the yellow ranger Chip he was probably my favorite character. I liked the green ranger Xander, I could feel for the guy because he was picked on for his accent. I like the battlizer, it wasn't super bulky, it looked mobile enough plus I could see some Filipino influences considering kali is a Filipino marital arts that's not really seen anywhere else. I could take the villians seriously enough. But overall I still didn't like it after finally watching on Netflix after RPM. And no none of this is remotely Harry Potter force, nobody in Harry Potter ever used magic weapons. The only weapon you saw someone used is a sword and that's it.

Marcus you missed a lot with this season. 1) Maddie was shown several times over the season to be attracted to Nick. 2) The two actors were dating at the time. And 3) Nick was not going to find his path you fool, he was going with his biological parents to see his adoptive parents. In fact it’s specifically stated that’s what he’s doing. Unfortunately you decided that you hated this before it started and just tuned out most of what happened.
